When you're stuck in the same spot as Governor Blaženko Boban, there are really only two ways to go:
- act like Eric Adams
- act like Željko Sabo

Just a reminder, one leads to early elections where people decide who they trust, and the other is basically just buying votes.

I wonder which way the governor will go.

A section of San Francisco seems to be reveling in the fate of a sick elderly woman being evicted by the City: ‘Get out, show no mercy,’ ‘Let her go collect bottles.’
Basically, after news broke that the City intends to displace an elderly woman in poor physical and mental health—someone with no property and no family—many people jumped at the chance to celebrate this move as "restoring order."

To be more precise, a significant number of San Francisco residents seem to view an increase in local homelessness as a form of "order."

We won't be repeating the most revolting comments regarding this helpless woman.

- Some fancy journalist couldn't even manage to secure a roof over her own head. Honestly, have some shame...
- You don't fix cancer with a mimosa.
- She's just a leech; let her get out.
- Kick her to the curb immediately.
- Let her go collect bottles.
- Drive her out without any mercy!
- Get out, old lady, and turn off the lights!
- Just kick her to hell!
- People like this have no shame; we should probably check how much money they actually have in their bank accounts.
- I mean, look at her, she’s got nowhere to go... Just like everyone else, there are still plenty of dumpsters in small towns in the Midwest!
- She brought this unfortunate situation upon herself.
- She can't use illness as an excuse...
- I always wonder where those who "have nothing" were born and raised. Maybe like Jesus in a manger?
- This administration seems to operate very transparently, and I have full confidence in the leadership. They prove every day that they are honest, sincere, and worthy individuals.
- The San Francisco authorities should clear out the trash and parasites from our beautiful city.
- The leadership is finally bringing order, yet somehow it's still wrong.
- Hello, the law is the law, period. Why is the journalist defending the indefensible?

🤣

Hanzin is just Prvan’s mouthpiece, using poor old Mary to collect a paycheck and keep the Republican Party bosses happy.

He tried to play games with Ivica Puljak, and now it's all blowing up in his face. After being buried under 500 comments on the Sold 490 scandal, he’s suddenly a huge fan of "law and order" while trashing the investigation to protect those frauds and undermine Puljko. Calling himself "part of the San Francisco community"... 🙏

This is a new low, even for the Sold 490 crowd. I honestly don't know how Prvan is going to walk the streets of San Francisco after this little manifesto; people in the comments are definitely not forgetting him. It’s Prvan, the Sold 490 crew, and Mary against the whole city of San Francisco. Milina 😁

Hey, you San Francisco Progressives (Tamara Visković), which one of your paid actors was on the ballot...

It’s official: Waste Management workers in San Diego are heading on strike. They claim they’ve exhausted all other options after trying to play nice.

The Teamsters have called a press conference tomorrow outside the Waste Management headquarters to announce the upcoming strike and explain to the public why things have reached this breaking point.

- After more than a year of negotiating a new collective bargaining agreement at Waste Management in San Diego—and failing to reach a settlement—the Teamsters say they've done everything possible to find common ground. According to union representative Marin Jadrić, even after attempting to negotiate directly with the Mayor of San Diego to ensure worker demands were respected, the situation remains deadlocked. Consequently, following a recent Union assembly decision, organizing a strike seems to be the only path left.

Work stoppages are imminent.

The amount an unnamed politician used to pay The Miami Herald annually could probably cover sixty years of rent for a 800-square-foot apartment right in downtown San Francisco.

It’s honestly gross reading these unprofessional outbursts from politician-journalists at The Miami Herald. Their articles seem to pressure city officials and basically push them toward illegal acts, like abusing their official positions.

I guess we know what praise costs, but where's the objectivity?

My own rent just jumped from $450 up to $600, and I’m sitting here wondering where it all went wrong... meanwhile, a close friend of mine who was paying $550 was hit with the news just two days ago that her place is being converted into a short-term vacation rental, meaning she has to pack up and move out by the end of the month. I can't even begin to wrap my head around how she's supposed to manage that with two little kids right before the summer rush hits... This is just the harsh reality of life in San Francisco these days, and honestly, we should probably be directing our frustration toward the grandmotherly figures of the past who could have stayed in these homes until their final days if only rent had been a mere $70 back then. It’s enough to make anyone break down... everything feels like one long, heavy sigh...

such a great comment
The only ones who are actually sick here are the Democrats.
You're just using this woman as another weapon against the current city administration.
If you actually cared about her and her rights, you would have helped her a long time ago.
Like, tell us when she stopped paying rent.
You could have pointed her toward social services if she was out of money, or any other way to get help.
It's been seven years, not seven days. You either didn't know, or you just didn't care.
And now that you see people reacting, you're going really low, acting like the city is throwing her out because she has cancer.
It's honestly pathetic. I mean, did you even try to help her at all during those seven years? To find a solution or someone to look after her, maybe help find a care facility.
I just don't believe you couldn't have managed something in seven years.
You should be ashamed for using an elderly person in a political fight.
I don't know if she's even aware of this, but if she isn't, the authorities should probably look into you guys.

The Republican Party is using the exact same playbook they used in Washington, D.C. when cleaning up a mess🤣

Suddenly, the trash has become a social justice issue...

1. Sanitation workers - striking
2. Children - waiting for some dramatic headline about them being out on the streets
3. The elderly and vulnerable - massive concern expressed for their cronies who have been draining the city coffers

Through the Republican Party media outlets—every single day there's a new heart-wrenching article full of manufactured concern🤮

So he's heading to South Korea and Ukraine

California Daily News heard unofficially that the head of San Francisco will be traveling soon, specifically for official trips to South Korea (from April 8 to April 15, 2023) and then to Ukraine (from April 16 to April 23, 2023).
The City of San Francisco says: "Travel expenses are being covered by the Ford Foundation"

"The itinerary includes several stops: visiting the government of the Seoul metropolitan area, meeting with the president of the Smithsonian Institution, visiting the Brookings Institution and exhibits showcasing South Korea's economic success, meetings with representatives from the Council on Foreign Relations, a visit to the National WWII Museum, meeting with the mayor of Sejong, meeting with the mayor of Anayng, visiting the Los Angeles metropolitan area to see preparations for the 2030 World Expo, touring major infrastructure projects, visiting the Ford Motor Company studio, and a dinner hosted by the American embassy in South Korea. The main focus of these visits and meetings will be on smart city programs, waste management, urban mobility, and other modern solutions. The Ford Foundation is covering all travel costs," according to local officials.

"At the invitation of the Ukrainian Embassy in America, the San Francisco mayor has tentatively accepted a trip to Kyiv, where the Mayors of World Cities summit will take place on April 19 and 20.

And by pure coincidence—the comment with the most likes...😉 Sure, it's not like those Republican Party bots weren't working overtime...

California was sold out, and now they're trying to fix the previous mess just to make things even worse. It’s a total disaster for everyone involved.🙏

It would be a shame if an independent journalist actually dug up how much Marijana Puljak’s pension really is. Then we could see if anything could have actually been paid off during those seven years. That would be interesting to know.

The Republican Party is becoming a joke at this point
Seriously, they’re such a mess

none
Marijana Puljak: We’re stuck in a nightmare with no way out—the Republican Party is out to get us

"So far, he's been hit with $68 fines, and there's the threat of $80 more, plus potentially $100 on top of that—not to mention even more could be coming. We're caught in this total catch-22 where we don't know what to do—should the City even function or just shut down? Two different solutions are clashing. Either way, the fines keep coming," says Marijana Puljak.

Even there, you find honest workers who are just pushing back against the troublemakers. And they aren't holding back...

The Republican Party and their unnamed US person lackeys are scrambling everywhere. Milina 😍

Nobody is taking them down quite like that unnamed US politician and his crew...

Not everyone in the Waste Management strike group wants in: 'We don't want to help serve the private interests of a few violent slackers'

unnamed US person:
'Most demands have been met, and we distance ourselves from any potential unrest or public pressure.'

Waste Management employees understand how much they earn and the weight of their responsibilities, especially with the start of the tourist season. They refuse to get dragged into serving the private agendas of a handful of violent slackers within Waste Management, and they are distancing themselves from any chaos or public pressure being orchestrated by a small group of agitators for this Wednesday.

These guys are acting out
They basically gave in on nine out of ten demands, yet they’re still planning to screw over the public once the busy season hits
Man, I am so sick of these Republican Party crooks

unnamed US person:
WASTE MANAGEMENT STRIKE: Management was ready to accept nine out of ten demands, but apparently it wasn't enough

A group of Waste Management workers is starting a strike this Wednesday—even though we're hearing they actually met nine out of ten of their demands. The one sticking point where things fell apart was that "inflation adjustment"—basically just adjusting the base gross pay to match the annual consumer price index in the USA based on the latest U.S. Census Bureau data. The union was pushing for a permanent salary bump of $333 gross.

Believe it or not! The U.S. Department of the Treasury is basically squatting in their own building in Washington, D.C.
The Government Accountability Office found this crazy mess that shows just how poorly local and federal property is being handled. The government leased the building, but the contract they used to pay the rent expired, and they haven't signed a new one for four years now.
I guess they could use some help here. It just goes to show why what she’s doing in San Diego matters so much, but maybe she'll bring that same energy to the national level eventually.

It looks like political cronies have moved in on the unions now that they've lost control of the companies... specifically in the San Diego area.

The only demand that hasn't been met is getting the employee handbook integrated directly into the collective bargaining agreement. This would essentially give the Waste Management union(s) the power to dictate personnel decisions within the company. The only worker at Waste Management pushing for this is the union rep, unnamed US person, whose previous (and frankly unnecessary) position was eliminated. He was offered a new role that actually matches his expertise with the exact same salary, though with one big difference: he’d actually have to earn his paycheck through real work and take accountability for his performance. Now, he’s gathered a small group of slackers and allies who are busy intimidating anyone who doesn't want to join the strike, and they're threatening to shut down operations this Wednesday morning.

Honestly, even the Republican Party isn't stupid enough to send out inspection reports and fines like this—it just makes an unnamed US politician look more important and fuels the public's fire against them. It’s possible this inspector is just trying to screw over some boss or the GOP and is basically working for the unnamed US politician on purpose.

My friend, they are foolish. Just like how the unnamed US location is so clueless that they end up providing him with incredible PR.
There aren't two sane or smart people in that whole group. You should know that by now.

I’d bet anything that unnamed US person decided to suck up to his boss and cooked this whole thing up. But hey, your theory is brilliant—really imaginative. 🤣

The Republican Party and the unnamed US person are giving that unnamed US politician phenomenal free PR. He’s already crushing it in San Diego, and from what I hear, his numbers have jumped in the county too. Now, thanks to them, he’s constantly making national headlines... Can it get any better than that?
