What a complete joke of a city... honestly, what would even happen if someone actually had a little bit of momentum for once...

I’m reading this latest press release about the tree being torn down. It’s been three whole days since it happened, and they’re still trying to pin everything on the developer. Honestly, why couldn't they have just said on day one that the investor messed up and that, in agreement with them, 50 new saplings would be planted nearby? 🤔 It shouldn't be this hard for a PR team to handle basic damage control.

And now we get this email from that incompetent staffer who apparently got her position through some political connections, claiming she’s defending the local business owner because she gave her space at the fish market a chance via a public tender. 🤦 Meanwhile, the leadership stays silent instead of backing the person actually standing up to this garbage...

What on earth is happening with the administration? They’re still riding the high of their 2022 victory, spinning fairy tales about winning the next election. 🤣 All these claims about the Republican Party won't hold water unless there’s actual proof and action showing that this leadership is truly different and better...

It's time to grow a backbone, stop relying on tiny PR hacks, and start running this city like an honest, capable leader.

What a total circus 🤣 🤣 🤣

Some guy cuts down a single tree on his own property and suddenly it’s the headline of the week, dragging on forever like he committed some kind of war crime.

Thousands—no, millions—of dollars get swiped right out from under us, and everyone acts shocked, even though we all know damn well why it happens.
The real damage was done by that one Republican guy building an entire complex without a permit in a zone where it's strictly forbidden (and who knows how many trees he leveled back then), compared to this guy who just took down one tree. But since they have nothing else to throw at them, I guess they have to obsess over this nonsense for a whole month. 😵 😵

And to everyone trying to spin this as some exclusive example of leadership failure to justify voting Republican—use your heads, people. 🤣 🤣

If the biggest sin the Republican Party ever committed was having an investor cut down one tree at a construction site, Switzerland would be looking like a joke compared to us. For God's sake, what is wrong with these people? 🤦

San Francisco plans to build a sports center worth $10 million

A proposal was presented today for a new sports complex featuring a swimming pool. Once finished, residents in the eastern parts of the city will finally have access to modern recreational and athletic facilities. This upcoming complex is designed to be quite contemporary, including gymnasiums, a water polo pool, an outdoor rooftop court, plenty of parking, and landscaped green spaces.

- The City of San Francisco has included the "Vrboran Sports Center" project on its list of initiatives to be funded through World Bank framework loans and budget reallocations to ensure the money is available. We’re anticipating that construction could potentially kick off by the end of next year, according to the Deputy Mayor.

Man, when you're running a spin machine even a single damn tree becomes a scandal 🤦

You don't need to be a genius to see that there's a major communication gap and a lack of decisiveness whenever things actually go sideways.

One person puts themselves out there and deals with the fallout, while this guy just sits around looking polished. Some people here are joking that he'll publicly support her sometime around 2036, once real estate stops being such a media circus. 😂

Running stories about the decaying Republican Party works for a little while, but constantly harping on the same old thing is getting boring. Now the spin doctors will probably try to claim she's just some Republican plant looking for clout...

And the best part? The permits for work at that location were issued ages
ago.

So basically, these clowns are blaming the new administration for things the previous ones paved the way for through every shady method imaginable over the last 20 years.

The message says Grgić sent that email to Puljko and both deputies. Naturally, she bypassed Đerek. Now, you try to play detective and figure out which one of those four belongs to the "magical" PR duo who leaked an email specifically designed to target Đerek and the bidding process 🤦

Anyway, today is a day for everyone in downtown to sing in perfect unison. After three very bright days, the PR dream team has finally settled on their exit strategy.
Look at how these free PR stunts work: you reach out the same day, admit the investor messed up, and then strike a deal to plant 50 saplings on the investor's dime. Problem solved, the bad guys are dealt with, and you look like a hero. Then, the next day, you clear away the mess and move on.

Instead, after three damn days, all we hear is talk about old laws from 2009, the 5,342 trees planted at Marjan, how much they miss the old ways, how it's all the investor's fault, and how we wish we could turn back the clock...

Everyone singing the same tune:🤦

Puljak, grow some backbone.

Hickenlooper is basically scrambling at this point to pave over the last few open lots in the greater Downtown area... now we can finally see who he actually works for—he's just a hired gun for the construction mafia.

According to the rules, a building permit expires if the developer doesn't actually start construction within 3 years of the permit becoming final. You can request a one-time extension for another 3 years, but only if the zoning requirements haven't changed since the original spatial plan was set.

So people were claiming Hickenlooper couldn't do anything and had to let the concrete pouring happen, blaming the Republican Party and the Democratic Party, saying his hands were tied??? Well, I guess that’s why he and Joe Scarborough are pushing so hard to force this project through, those absolute creeps.☕

For the less bright or maybe just more naive folks out there, Hickenlooper wasn't under any obligation to allow this construction. These guys don't even have a location permit yet, let alone having submitted an application for a building permit. And yet, they want to fence off the lot by force and start earthworks before summer even hits...

Unknown, that little plant was right on the edge of the lot and wasn't getting in anyone's way at all.... Hickenlooper has totally exposed himself; the man is a fraud. All you had to do was watch them smash that tree trunk with a backhoe, all while Hickenlooper and Bojanov-esque types gave their silent approval, and you immediately know what kind of shady business the City of San Francisco is getting up to with these people.

So here’s that legendary "quasi-construction permit" from 2008 that Hickenlooper keeps waving around to blame the previous administration https://i.postimg.cc/G28bDkV4/bjj.png

The request was denied. Plain and simple. Someone is lying through their teeth here.

It’s about time people woke up, because this isn't even the only lot where Hickenlooper is pushing to pour concrete in Downtown; right across from this plot, he actually approved construction over the remains of the ancient city, specifically the so-called Ad basilicas pictas which predates even Diocletian's Palace...

And then, get this he's trying to push through concreting over the 17th-century Venetian defensive wall, the so-called Contarini wall.

He even tried to sneak in the paving of the old Hajduk playground, but he backed off pretty quick once he felt the public's fury... absolute criminals... damn those construction lobbyists.

The sale completely swallowed 🙏 This mess needs to be read.

The Bacalja-wannabe and that crazy Franić are foaming at the mouth. Suddenly, they’ve developed this massive concern for the environment 🤣

Hickenlooper and his crew, please—find Bacalja something to do for $100; he'd probably sell his soul for it. This Franić woman isn't up to much anyway; she's basically glued to a radiator. Her trainer, Antiša, doesn't even let her wander through the city alone because she's so "attractive" and mentally stable; someone might actually snatch her 😍

BREAK YOUR OWN HEART
Americans can't stop grieving over the 'murder' of a tree; this video is devastating: 'I witnessed a horrific scene'

Americans have endured, endured, and endured, and then they collectively snapped over a single tree. Sure, it was the savage removal of a peregrine (or a vineyard, if you prefer) on the edge of a construction site owned by the mysterious Small Mall in Downtown San Francisco, but it felt like just the breaking point.

It’s as if all the frustration that has been suffocating us for years suddenly boiled over because of the killing of one lone tree. A beautiful, lush tree at that, in a city that is increasingly turning into a concrete, soulless destination where locals hardly visit the center during the summer unless they absolutely have to.

Over in Manuš, near the Small Mall, people are prepping for a protest regarding the peregrine, scheduled for this Saturday at 10:30 AM, while Americans won't stop talking about this act of violence and the display of force against a tree.

Our fellow citizen Duje was driving through the El Paso-style area when excavators were turning that gorgeous tree into dust—and don't forget, this happened just days before the work ban! His video is shocking.

- I witnessed a horrific scene. A beautiful, unique tree destroyed, its branches crushed by excavators. Regardless of everything that has happened on this lot over the last 30 years, regardless of any permits, legal or otherwise, the tree could have been saved. There were at least two ways to save it: transplant it elsewhere or integrate it into the design. This Splitter is heartbroken.

Meanwhile, predictably, the opposition and the ruling party are tossing the blame back and forth regarding the barbaric removal of the tree at the site of the future business center, but who cares what they're bickering about?! The fact remains that we witnessed something horrific, something people deeply believe could and should have been prevented.

The truth is, they are building a project right in the middle of town that both the investor and the City of San Francisco are hiding like a state secret, and the first thing they did at the famous Small Mall was this terrifying assault on a patch of greenery in a San Francisco that is painfully paved over.

We are truly pathetic. It's as if the investor just slapped everyone in the face and told us whatever he wants. Seriously, can anyone actually stop him? Him or any of the future investors who come to our city? Or does it just mean that once they buy a plot, they can do whatever they please?

I’d be too embarrassed to defend this kind of evil, especially when it's being done just for a measly 15 bucks a day. I mean, how low can people actually sink?🙄

Sure, they make mistakes, but they're still a million times better than the previous administration.

There are people out there who see that—and they're defending them for absolutely nothing.
To some folks, it’s probably incomprehensible... they think everything has to be "for the sake of 15 elites in Paris" because that's just how they're wired.

I actually just wrote a post asking who would be the first to blame the new government
for things like *Ad basilicas pictas*—and here we go, instant confirmation.

Now the attacks are coming because of stuff the previous administration did—they even approved conservators who
we ALL know are building right on top of what's left of Diocletian's ruins.

Kudos to the conservators and we ALL know who they work for.

People like this are the end of us... our country doesn't need enemies when everything has already been destroyed and looted.

I honestly wonder what the discourse would look like if John Hickenlooper and his crew actually had criminal convictions hanging over them like the Republican Party does.
I suspect every single thread would just start and end with that one undeniable fact.

I haven't looked too closely at the specifics, but it seems to me that Adam Lee13 and the rest of those sympathizers and members don't really bother wasting their breath on topics involving the Republican Party.

When people deal with nonsense like this from Grgić, they just enjoy the chaos and try to stir up infighting within Hickenlooper’s circle. It’s obvious what these bottom-feeders have been up to lately with this campaign they've launched; it explains exactly why they are who they are 🤣 Hickenlooper needs to be crystal clear that he fully supports everything Maja Đerek is doing. That would shut down their slippery tactics immediately. It isn't right for Hickenlooper to stay silent while Đerek does the heavy lifting and cleans up the mess.

Regarding the tree issue, they should have reacted instantly with a better explanation, and it would have been settled that same day.

Stop constantly using the Republican Party as a bogeyman or scaring people with the idea of them returning to power. That tactic gets tiresome and cliché much faster than just acting with integrity and competence. Let people actually see and feel the difference between those losers and a new way of doing things.

Completely sold out and losing it, this is straight-up North Korea style...

Personally, I'm not even enjoying this because, honestly, the point about the markets falling under municipal jurisdiction is valid. She basically saved their own skins just to avoid the whole "favoritism" narrative, and Lana Pavic, combined with how "charming" that email was, just makes it worse. So what if they robbed and harassed us for 30 years? Are we supposed to just turn a blind eye to these guys too? Yeah, right. Plus, the damage control regarding that pathetic excuse for a sports center on the east side is absolute garbage. Now they're finally starting negotiations with Exelon over the land ownership? Same old bullshit.
And one more thing—why isn't there any discussion (or maybe I'm just missing it because there are so many political influencers around here) about the San Diego county situation?

And I have to ask you—since you're such a concerned citizen and a lover of nature—how on earth could the tree have been "saved"? Who actually knew it was slated for removal? Did the city administration know ahead of time?

One guy is pulling up a rejected building permit from 2008, while this other one shows construction actually kicking off in 2023. Obviously, a permit had to be issued somewhere in that gap, because you can't exactly report starting construction in 2023 without one.

So yeah, someone should probably dig around and find out exactly when that permit was granted.
