Zachary Anderson20 said:Personally, I'm not even enjoying this because, honestly, the point about the markets falling under municipal jurisdiction is valid. She basically saved their own skins just to avoid the whole "favoritism" narrative, and Lana Pavic, combined with how "charming" that email was, just makes it worse. So what if they robbed and harassed us for 30 years? Are we supposed to just turn a blind eye to these guys too? Yeah, right. Plus, the damage control regarding that pathetic excuse for a sports center on the east side is absolute garbage. Now they're finally starting negotiations with Exelon over the land ownership? Same old bullshit.
And one more thing—why isn't there any discussion (or maybe I'm just missing it because there are so many political influencers around here) about the San Diego county situation?

If markets fall under municipal jurisdiction, they still belong to the city's assets, which means they're under the purview of Majin's department, right? Or am I totally off base here? Just asking because I honestly don't know. 🤔 You can't get any real answers from those news articles. They’re completely useless if you're actually looking for the truth.

The entire county is under the thumb of the Republican Party. That’s exactly why this isn't being discussed. It just isn't politically convenient for anyone to call out the evil behind it. ☕

First off, managing those street markets and everything that goes down there is straight-up municipal business. You shouldn't even be getting permits for these events if they aren't structured right—let alone without any actual competitions involved. Maja was basically trying to save them from their own mess, but man... they clearly don't have a clue what they're doing. She was just trying to protect the assets, but she ran headfirst into Bojan (and honestly, she had every right to), so... yeah, look where we are now.
Honestly, we should probably talk about the County too. There’s some pretty shady stuff going on there as well...

So yeah, someone should probably dig around and find out exactly when that permit was granted.

There's no building permit, no zoning permit, nothing. The city doesn't owe this developer a single thing legally. If they need a zoning permit, it means there isn't even a detailed urban plan for this area, which basically means nobody knows what’s supposed to be built here or what it's even for...

Just so we're all clear, this project has neither a zoning permit nor a building permit. They'll eventually get them, but it'll be thanks to Puljko and his crew, not the Republican Party or the Democratic Party. I don't know if you guys caught this, but the mayor merged his own surrounding lots with the developer's land just to beef up the scale of the build—if that isn't blatant favoritism and shady business practice, I don't know what is. Puljalk is busy screaming "thief!" about the West Gate Skyscraper, yet he's pulling the exact same move right here.

As for Ad Basilica Pictas, the building permit was issued for Puljalk, not for the Republican Party or the Democratic Party.

Puljalk is basically just a puppet for the construction mafia, and honestly, all that yelling at ADZ over every little mistake the current administration makes? It's totally coming back to haunt you guys.

Look, there are certain things you can actually get moving without having a building permit in hand—like putting up a fence around the lot, clearing out the brush, doing some basic dirt work, or moving utility lines around and stuff like that...

Honestly, it feels like the zealots over at the office are working overtime lately... they just don't quit.
They even reached out to the poultry suppliers because the local deli can't keep up with the demand for all that ham.

I guess I’d just love to see some of those people I’m paying taxes for actually post a single photo—even if it's from the last couple of years—of that orchard. Just one shot showing them out in the shade, having a picnic, watering the trees, hugging them, or even just standing there waiting for the bus... that's all I'm asking for.
Even a quick snap from a car window would do.

Exactly this... this is what's going to come back to haunt you, or rather, it already has.☕

This whole thing is going to blow up in all our faces if this amateur hour continues, especially if the criminal element gets involved again.

Honestly, you guys have completely lost any shred of credibility... plus, looking at the track record, it seems like your party has some pretty shady intentions for the city, much like how the Republican Party operates on a national level...

And seriously, stop trying to force this fake "it's either me or the Republican Party" dilemma down our throats.🤣

Here’s what two years of being in power actually looks like:

-Zero meters of new roads built

-Zero meters of actual road repairs (if we aren't counting those cheap band-aid fixes)

-Spending all their time messing with Downtown San Francisco and just pushing more concrete over everything else.

Who, me? I have about as much to do with Rudy Giuliani as I do with Joe Biden or Trump.
All I know is that the Republican Party needs to be shut down and completely uprooted.
It would be a smaller tragedy to lack a government altogether than to have the Republican Party running things.

Just for the record, I voted for the Smart Party rather than the Centrists in the last election.

Here is that "famous" quasi-construction permit from 2008 that they keep using to blame the previous administration. https://i.postimg.cc/G28bDkV4/bjj.png

The request was denied. Someone is lying through their teeth.

It’s time people woke up. This isn't the only plot where they're pushing concrete into Downtown. Right across from this lot, they authorized construction directly on top of the ruins of the old city, what they call the Ad basilicas pictas which predates the local landmarks...

And then they try to push concrete over the 17th-century Venetian defensive wall, the so-called Contarini wall.

They even tried to bulldoze the old playground, but backed off quickly once they felt the public backlash... criminals... damn the construction lobby.

It's a disgrace what the second largest city in America has turned into.

https://i.postimg.cc/hvNCTm91/1.png

They lie like dogs. They knew perfectly well that a report regarding the start of construction was filed just a month ago. 😠

Provide the permit number and cite the specific legal statute that would allow the city to reject the start of work under that permit.

Can we ask our colleague Marijan to provide the links to the zoning and building permits?

If they don't exist, the links will make that obvious.

Honestly, just reading the mainstream media is enough. We don't need some massive PR blitz for the Mayor. You just have to look at everything they write and realize the exact opposite is true. 😁

Well, look, it's simple math: when the Republican Party isn't in power, having them lead the opposition is actually worse. They’ll spend every waking moment looking for ways to grease their own palms, using the entire media machine and a web of bureaucrats to plant fake clips and manipulate the narrative.

I am absolutely losing my mind with this city because they can’t even handle basic traffic flow near the main intersection now that one of the two entrances is blocked off, so here I am, stuck idling in this street for thirty minutes just trying to get out of my own neighborhood.

As far as I know, that info isn't public record.
It’s strictly handled by staff over at the municipal building department.
I’m just passing along what was sent to me—I have no clue where they pulled it from.

Tell whoever sent that to you to pull up the "building permit" and "zoning permit" fields, and everything will become significantly clearer.

Even in a country as deeply entrenched in corruption as America under the Republican Party, a project of this scale simply cannot break ground without a finalized building permit.

MAYOR DISCUSSES PROPOSAL TO TERMINATE INVESTOR CONTRACT: 'Breaking our deal would lead to massive costs'

'I would suggest inviting Mr. Šuta—who, mind you, isn't even a city council member, he just stays tucked away behind his director's desk—along with the council members proposing this, to actually run the numbers. If the majority decides to back this proposal, it might be wise for them to realize the fallout for San Francisco and its residents, and perhaps then offer some actual solutions,' the Mayor commented.

Questions have been raised regarding whether there is any way to revise the current contract. Specifically, media representatives asked if he stands by the claim that San Francisco lacks any legal leverage to make such changes.

'Our legal teams maintain that the consequences for the city would be far more severe. If we went down that road, the financial hit would be significantly higher. Plus, we probably wouldn't see that parking garage built for another 30 years or so,' the Mayor stated.

Regarding the controversial protest at the local market: 'Legal interpretations vary'

The incident at the market has caused quite a stir, even within the city administration itself, though the Mayor claims this is a standard procedural matter that will be hashed out internally.

'These are routine situations where two different departments can't quite see eye-to-eye on certain issues. We'll discuss it internally and reach a decision that ultimately serves the best interests of San Francisco,' the Mayor noted briefly.

In an email we were able to review, Grgić noted that it was "fortunate that the media isn't aware that demonstrations aren't permitted at the market area." However, the Mayor stated today that there are conflicting legal opinions on the matter.

'We’re going to sit down together and settle on a single, unified interpretation,' he concluded.

And how exactly would you fix it? Honestly, when an entire neighborhood only has two ways out and it's already a nightmare because of all the cars parked on every single curb... plus, I still don't get why there isn't a direct connection from the residential streets over to the main highway.
