quietbadger11, I honestly don't think I could tolerate things like that anymore

I simply couldn't bear to carry someone else's burden

In truth, she essentially forced you to shoulder her weight by making it a shared secret between just the two of you

She claims to "love" her husband, but it sounds like she's just bored with him.
What a mess.

Even if we consider it our little secret, there's no way I'm ever telling her husband.
I feel like he'd just blow up and cause a massive disaster, and I really don't want any part of that chaos.
I'd much rather just leave things exactly as they are.

quietbadger11, I find myself wondering how you even managed to get into a position where they feel comfortable flirting with you or sharing those kinds of intimate details

I don't really socialize much, truthfully; I don't hang out with any female friends, nor would I ever go so far as to engage in any sort of digital messaging with them

How did you even end up in a situation where you could discuss such private matters, specifically regarding the inner workings of their relationship?

Boredom, or maybe he just isn't enough for her anymore. There are plenty of marriages out there where both people stay together mostly for practical reasons rather than actual passion. It’s almost like there’s this unspoken agreement that being strictly faithful isn't really the priority. In those kinds of setups, an affair doesn't feel like such a huge deal since nobody is really trying to hide much. You just assume they're fulfilling half their needs at home and looking elsewhere for the rest. I'm not saying I'm a fan, but I do see a distinction between that and actual betrayal...

I've been driving her and her husband to work for years now.
We spend a lot of time alone in the car since her husband is constantly out on medical leave, and that's just how we grew closer.

Are you two still maintaining that same kind of friendship?

In my humble opinion, once things reach a certain point—once those kinds of romantic or sexual sentiments have been voiced—it feels nearly impossible to simply revert back to the way things were before.

We actually see each other every single day since I drive them to work.
My wife is a very reasonable person and she understands why I turned her down; she knows clearly that this whole situation isn't right, but it seems like she’s just unhappy in our marriage and is looking for some kind of comfort elsewhere.

😁

Whatever, doesn't matter... the point is you don't need everyone in your life... even if you're left with just two people, as long as those two are actually solid...

Delight AJ

Spice things up a little and imagine those two people are "him" and "her." She’s your absolute best friend—the one who literally saved your life once, like that time you were both kids stealing candy at the grocery store and she stepped up and took the fall for you. And he? He’s the love of your life, your soulmate, the guy who understands you even when you're dead wrong. He's so handsome it's criminal, and frankly, so attractive you'd want to keep him under lock and key just to keep other women from even glancing his way.

Then, on some miserable, rainy afternoon, you come home after an exhausting day at work and... there they are. The two of them, sweating and half-dressed, struggling through assembling an Ikea wardrobe together. It isn't quite the romantic scene you might have pictured...

Or maybe they had a quick tryst in the office restroom, and decided, "Let's keep this our little secret." Fortunately, the most nosy coworker in the entire firm happened to walk in, forcing them to scramble. Once their conscience kicked in, they decided to just flush that secret away down the toilet! If anyone asks, a button just popped off her blouse!

Has anyone ever dared to tell Dunda to get rid of that Tapatalk signature?!

Don't you find the whole situation somewhat embarrassing, if I may be so bold?

In truth, there is a certain level of ego involved in being so eager, wouldn't you agree?

David Sanders4, I recall coming across one of those discussions where you seemed remarkably laid-back regarding the whole concept of a threesome.

It almost appeared as though you didn't view the situation as a breach of trust at all.

I find myself wondering, though—would it truly bother you if your girlfriend and a close friend were to engage in a sexual encounter together, effectively ending any romantic connection between them?

I'll give you an answer once you get rid of that damn signature; okp keeps messing with it for me.

Why even ask me that? You could have been less politically correct and just asked if I actually crave that kind of drama.

On a side note, if he were still giving me free oil changes at his shop, I wouldn't mind.

But if he left an old filter in my car during a routine service? Man, I think I'd lose my mind the next time I saw him walking away.

quietbadger11, I’ve been chewing on that dilemma of yours—you know, that whole cross you’re carrying on those broad shoulders of yours—and honestly? I think I’ve finally cracked it.

Just don't say a single word to the guy. As for your wife, just tell her you're totally on board. Then, take her to bed and... well, let's just say be the kind of guy who's so completely "unenthusiastic" that she won't even be able to get an erection to complain about. She might be a little disappointed with the actual performance, sure, but at least her curiosity about what's going on with you will be satisfied. And that's it. Keep it between us.

Why on earth should I feel foolish? It's not like I've done anything wrong.
But let’s be real here—of course, it feels good when my wife tells me she wants me, but at the same time, I find myself wondering what the right move actually is. There is a big difference between simple desire and letting your head spin, don't you think? Lust and attraction are one thing, but you still have to use your brain.
God's direct command is quite clear: Do not commit adultery.
And I intend to stick to that 100% .

Honestly, let them assemble dressers and cabinets all they want. I'll personally pay for three of them, just as long as they stay far away from me...

You could try to rationalize it so they don't repeat the same thing, but my brain just goes, "Well, since she's this to me and he's that to me, everything they do is totally forgiven."

Like I said—delight

A little flirting and an ego boost can be harmless, sure—but doing that with a friend of your girlfriend or wife...
That’s veering dangerously close to incestuous territory.

Silence really is golden, isn't it?

It probably isn't the smartest move for me to be posting this stuff publicly, since you never truly know who might be lurking around the forum reading these threads, right? 😲
It just occurred to me. 😲

Alright, that's enough from me.🙂🙂

Man, that guy is a total magnet—every woman in sight is losing their minds over him. Seriously, quietbadger11, you’re just out there coasting through the workday while he collects all the attention. Honestly, when God finally decides to shake things up and restore some balance around here, you’re probably going to be the first one caught in the blast zone...🤣
