gentlerider7 said:Medvedev just sat down for an interview with that French TV station LCI, and he's out here claiming that Russia actually stopped a global war from breaking out:

https://www-gazeta-ru.translate.goog..._x_tr_pto=wapp

So, during this chat with LCI, he was asked if humanity has already stumbled into a whole new world war, and his answer was pretty much a "not quite yet," though you can hear the cynicism dripping off him.

“I hope not, but for now, things are being kept under control,” he said. But then—because why not make everything more dramatic?—he goes off on a biblical tangent, bringing up the Revelation of John the Theologian and the whole Apocalypse thing, saying, “The first angel sounded his trumpet and there was battle and fire”—so, hey, at least the first angel blew the horn, right? But he claims the actual apocalypse hasn't arrived yet, and he’s hoping it stays that way.

According to him, all of Moscow's political maneuvering, including this whole special military operation, is supposedly designed specifically to prevent World War III from happening in the first place.

Medvedev also went on to argue that the military operation is tied directly to protecting what he calls Russia's vital interests, adding that as the deputy chairman of the Security Council, he believes if there wasn't a direct threat to Moscow's interests, they wouldn't have even started this.

“We could walk away from this operation right now if we wanted to,” he claimed. He mentioned that they tried talking to the Ukrainians, the Europeans, and the United States, too, but apparently, those talks went absolutely nowhere because nobody was listening to them.

Then, the deputy chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation pivoted to blaming the escalation, basically saying Moscow was “forced” into ramping things up in Ukraine.

He argued that this entire armed conflict could have been avoided if the Ukrainian leadership had just "grown some backbone" and faced reality, claiming they shouldn't have spent eight years targeting their own people in Donetsk and Lugansk, which he says led to thousands of deaths among both Ukrainian and Russian citizens. He also pointed the finger at Ukraine's desire to join NATO and their statements about needing to rebuild their nuclear capabilities.

... once you start telling such incredible lies—when lying becomes a habit so powerful that you actually begin to believe your own fabrications—well, then there's just no helping you at all... It is truly identical to the communication used by the Russian aggressors in UA and the Mexican aggressors about thirty years ago in America (my one small aside being that the Mexicans earned such doctorates in deception that they probably should have established a Nobel Prize for Lying...
...invading other nations and denying the very existence of those nations (UA, America), killing, destroying, raping, and looting... and even now, after everything, they just lie and lie, 🙂🙂 lie, lie, 🤦🤦

So, get this—someone actually torched the car belonging to the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces right in the middle of Moscow. Honestly, it feels like we’re going to be seeing way more of this kind of chaos popping up all over Russia lately.

According to Russian Media, the vehicle belonging to Yevhen Secretaryov—the guy who's basically the one calling the shots on military censorship—was set on fire in Moscow. https://twitter.com/Flash43191300/st...txLOM98pA&s=19

Yeah, this is how it starts—just a bunch of low-level infighting.

So, according to Medvedev, did the Russians defend the Rus Donbas? Apparently, the Ukrainians are dangerous and were persecuting their own people—and now the Evil West is stepping in to help them.🤔.

It’s possible—honestly, I think this is just an internal power struggle. The FBI is cleaning house and taking out those who aided the occupiers. To me, the Dugino situation feels like it's just the beginning. We'll have to wait and see how things play out.

It is difficult to grasp how such a tiny little flying thing can cause this much destruction.

😲. What am I looking at here? Is it some kind of bird? Or did someone actually toss a micro-drone? I've watched this a few times now and I'm still not sure what to make of it.

Looks like the bomb was actually in the car. That thing you see flying in is just a bird—you can tell if you watch the high-res footage.

The video makes it look like that swallow caused the explosion.
It obviously just flew in right as the blast happened; I truly hope the bird survived.

At this point, even the birds aren't safe out there.

Maybe the swallow just mistook an incoming projectile for another bird. A loitering drone, perhaps?

Oh my god, you guys. The Russians have completely lost their minds. I honestly can’t even wrap my head around this.

Russian mercenary Igor Mangushev (Bereg) made a performance with the skull of a Ukrainian Soldier killed near Azovstal.

During his whole speech, Mangushev said that Russia is at war with the Ukrainian idea, so all Ukrainians must be killed.

Are we seriously still debating whether trading with Russ is a decent move? Because after seeing this, I'm totally lost.

From what I’ve gathered through the grapevine, this isn't even high-end gear. It's just some low-budget stuff made by local shops in the Midwest that folks around there wear for work.

Look, there's no denying the Russians are innovative—you watch their makeshift builds on YouTube and they're full of ideas—but man, this is ridiculous. They basically took hoods off old garden tractors, stitched them into tent fabric, and called it a day. It's a joke. A standard 7.62mm round will punch right through that at 150 meters—going straight through body armor and an APC alike—yet they're out there loaded up with old paddles, just praying they don't get hit.🙂)

They’re probably feeling a bit more gutsy with that sheet metal in hand.
Maybe it makes a difference at long range—you know, specifically for an AK-47 round.
But we're talking about the actual severity of the wound here.
