Arming Ukraine

Most of what they sent over were anti-personnel versions (targeting personnel) — so the real question is how much punch that 'warhead' actually packs. It probably just uses fragmentation rounds.

It’s best used to take out commanders and mess with logistics. Basically, you hit their morale... or their motivation.

It would be much better to test this out on the Chechens.

This seems to be a response to those issues I was mentioning earlier. I guess.

The Ukrainians just don't have the reach right now to hit airfields or logistics hubs deep within the Russian rear. It’s a bit of a problem, I guess... especially since that kind of long-range strike capability is exactly what NATO strategy has always leaned on. Maybe there's a way around it, but for now, they're stuck.

This drone, if it actually manages to hit speeds of... I don't know, maybe around that mark? It changes things. I guess. Either one could be wiped out pretty easily, I suppose. It’s all quite fragile, really. It’s essentially a warhead designed specifically to take out medium-armored ground targets. I guess you could say it's built for that exact purpose. Maybe.

Macron was just talking about those CAESAR self-propelled howitzers being delivered. Honestly, who knows? Maybe they've even arrived already!

So, Germany isn't actually shipping their own stuff right now, but they’ve made this deal where they'll provide replacements to any allies who step up and send their equipment—kind of like that arrangement they worked out with Canada earlier on

It looks like the Brits might be cooking up some kind of deal with the Poles. The idea seems to be that they'll send over some tanks so the Poles can free up their own T-72s to ship off to Ukraine. Honestly, though, I have my doubts about them actually handing over any Challenger 2s; it's much more likely they’ll just station them in the country as a temporary measure until those Abrams arrive.

The deal is set: Poland is sending over some T-72s, and in exchange, the Brits are providing them with tanks along with their full crews.

The Netherlands is set to send some self-propelled howitzers over to Ukraine.

Defense Minister Kajsa Ollongren mentioned that they're basically wrapping up talks with Germany, who will probably help out with the training and setup.

It’s funny how the Belgians are also eyeing those M109 self-propelled howitzers—except the government doesn't actually own them. They belong to some private firm that bought them, likely just to flip them for a profit later.
