Supposedly for Victory Day (May 9th).

I find myself watching Nureyev clips all the time—I actually have them recorded.
But you know what? 🤔 Even that whole idea of communism being a step toward a better life... I kind of miss it. And those Russian inventions...

Ukrainian artillery strikes have reportedly hit the Millerovo air base located within Russian territory. Reports indicate the facility is currently engulfed in flames, with several combat aircraft confirmed destroyed.

Let's say, hypothetically, Kyiv falls and the Russians move in, but the Government stays intact—maybe they relocate to somewhere like Uzhhorod. It feels like...
It’s not like the military necessarily has to surrender or stop following the President's orders. As long as most of the territory remains in Ukrainian hands, the real question is how the Russians would actually treat the people living in Kyiv....

To the Bolsheviks, nationality was irrelevant. They worked tirelessly to erase everything else—nation, faith, heritage—until nothing remained but Marxism-Leninism. Anything that smelled like it could challenge the new system was physically liquidated. Now, Ukrainians are paying the price for that era (along with the corruption infecting the new state). People no longer identify with the country they live in; frankly, they couldn't care less whose tanks are rolling down their streets. If those people were pro-Russian, they’d be greeted with flowers. But they aren't. Instead, they just don't care at all.

I've experienced this firsthand while talking to people in those regions, especially in Belarus. They genuinely believe they can transform into a powerhouse like Poland practically overnight, but let's be realistic: they're more likely to end up looking like Bulgaria, Romania... or perhaps one of those developing nations in the North America... if not something even worse.

The only thing they'll actually achieve is making it easier for their people to move abroad for work, much like how Ukrainians have been heading over to Poland for years now.

Romanians have a 50% higher GDP per capita than Belarusians, and even Bulgarians are ahead by 30%.

It’s a bit premature to be shipping those transport units toward Moscow right now.

Bulgaria has officially shut down its airspace to all Russian aircraft. A move that, frankly, seems quite foolish.

Gritty said:Zelenskyy isn't even a legitimate president.

There weren't any elections held in Donbas, and back then, both Ukraine and Russia considered Donbas part of Ukraine anyway. Same deal with Crimea—no elections there either, even though only Ukraine actually claims it as their own territory.

Crimea is absolutely Ukrainian territory that's currently under Russian occupation. If you actually knew anything about history, you wouldn't be posting this nonsense.

So, I just saw some reports about a Topol-M ICBM being prepped for launch—apparently carrying a warhead capable of hitting the USA—over in western Russia. They’ve got something like twenty of those things stationed right in that sector, and honestly, it feels like it has absolutely nothing to do with the situation in Ukraine. Just my two cents, I guess.

I honestly can't see any realistic way for Russia to win this fight
but then again, I don't see
or maybe we just won't exist at all
that’s the fundamental question... good versus evil

Italy and Germany were pushing back against kicking Russia out of SWIFT. Now, it looks like Italy is folding...

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if we see them cut off the Russians by tomorrow...

JPMorgan Chase is running out of cash:

I’ve been sitting here wondering—and this is just a thought, mind you—if the US actually has the legal standing to slap sanctions on Russia like this: TOTAL LIQUIDATION OF FORTENA'S SHARES:
( )

The real question, though—and I suspect this might be a bit of a stretch—is whether the US would turn around and hit us with their own sanctions if we started overstepping our bounds like that? 😬

Have the Canadians, Slovaks, Romanians, and Poles actually mobilized their militaries along the border with Ukraine?...

vividtiger72 said:Are we really going to pretend those alternative movements in Chechnya that led the rebellion were out there fighting for democracy and civil liberties?

🤦

Wait, where did I even say that? I was just reacting to the idea that Ukraine might end up following the Chechnya route, honestly. I highly doubt Americans would prefer living under those conditions compared to how things are now.

McVily said:Try applying that logic here—where Ukraine is essentially a woman, and rubac is just this desperate craving to dictate her own place on this sick planet. ☕

She’s caught between two abusive relationships; her only hope for survival is flirting with both sides—two guys who aren't exactly sane—because, frankly, she can't stand on her own.

The Canadians have—not sure about the rest.
