The French President's office is reporting that the deal to kick them out of SWIFT is moving along super fast, and honestly, it looks like a done deal at this point.

Is that point number 5 pretty close to the city center? 🕺

Point 5 is about half a mile from downtown... but those streets get so narrow there, Russ will have to spill oceans of blood just to squeeze through that section.

edit: my bad, point 6 is 1-1.5 km from downtown

Point 6 is about 7-5.0 miles from downtown

Especially after watching how Vladimir Putin sat that clown Micron and that ridiculous Olaf Scholz at the far end of the table, away from him.🤣

That was a loud and clear message for anyone smart enough to realize those seating arrangements aren't accidental. What I didn't see coming, though, was the sheer intensity—and honestly, the breadth of the front line. It’s massive. That caught everyone off guard, myself included. But hey, both me and the people I'm arguing with were pretty sure someone was going to get hit hard because things had finally boiled over.

Wasn't he just sitting there at meetings with his own people?

It’s painfully obvious that these two accounts—Michael Davis10 and Laura Scott7—are nothing but trolls. Honestly, how many drinks does someone need to have before they finally get banned?

The whole explanation is disgusting. They won't play anything upbeat because of what's happening in Ukraine.

And it's not like 15,000 kids are dying from starvation instead of disease all over the world right now. I honestly doubt this war will even come close to matching those numbers in total casualties.

I saw the French detained a ship. This has become a global joke involving the major powers. Just a bunch of world-class losers on both sides. And yet, I see people on this forum eating up this garbage and enjoying it. ☕

Meanwhile, former Russian leader Dmitry Medvedev claimed on Saturday that Russia should sever all diplomatic ties with the West as retaliation for sanctions.

"It’s time we put padlocks on the embassies," he stated, according to RIA Novosti.

He also commented that since Russia was suspended from the Council of Europe, capital punishment could potentially be reinstated within the country.

What the hell is he even talking about??

Laki's losing his cool because he hates how this is all playing out.

Angela Merkel is being sneaky again.
Honestly, this video should be mandatory viewing for every elementary school kid in America.

I mean, I can't say I'm shocked that Angela Merkel isn't feeling the vibe from Brkika. 😛

Once Putin finally wraps this up, he’s going to end up just like that other guy from the North America—the one who marched into neighboring countries claiming he was protecting people from "genocide" and Nazis, only to end up as an occupier himself.

Not everyone in the EU is on board with kicking Russia out of SWIFT. Germany, specifically. I think Germany has a massive say in this. I caught this intense debate on German TV the other night where one of the pundits basically argued that we need to look out for our own people first—protecting our jobs and making sure our folks can actually survive.

Also, what was that bit about Sweden and Finland? The Danish media hasn't said a word about it.

Tyler Jones6 said:How exactly is Russia being threatened by NATO? I mean, isn't their F-22 Raptor supposed to be the most advanced and superior fighter jet out there? Isn't their Abrams tank supposedly the best in the world? And don't they possess invincible hypersonic weaponry? I thought their F-15 Eagle could simply fly past a US warship and send it scurrying away from the Black Sea like a total coward.

They didn't run. They just hit them with that SkReMbLaLi electronics. 🤣

placidrider48 said:Actually, they had plenty of options. Back in 2014, they could've just told Yanukovych to stop messing around and actually honor his campaign promises. Plus, once Ukraine joins the EU, Russia would have had massive leverage within such a huge member state. This way, they basically just threw all that influence away.

Putin is just some delusional lunatic who clearly doesn't get how geopolitics works. He’s out here trying to model himself after Stalin. Or even Hitler.

🤣

The guy’s been leading one of the three biggest powers on the planet for 22 years, but hey, you forum experts clearly know way more than he does.

Paul Patel95 said:No surrender and absolutely zero negotiations. Period. We need to flood Ukraine with weapons and gear, slap on crushing sanctions, and go full scorched-earth on the Russian economy until their regime collapses—even if it hurts everyone's wallets for a while. This lunatic isn't going to stop until he gets his way in Ukraine, and I think we all see that clearly by now.

Putin actually pulled it off—he managed to isolate himself just enough to unite the West and most of the world against him, all while using those blatant threats to stir up massive debates about Sweden and Finland joining NATO.

Cornered.

Russia’s been under sanctions for years now. They’re completely self-sufficient in every sense of the word. Period.

Honestly? The world needs Russia, not Russia needing the world.

Kyle Nelson2 said:I mean, I guess France and Italy are totally fine with kicking Russia out of SWIFT, if you ask me.

Yeah? And?

You really think that would do anything to Russia?

Infrastructure-wise? Russia has everything built with total redundancy. They've got backups for their backups. Always.

Turkey is a key NATO member, and frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if an agitated Putin tries to force his way through with his fleet. Once he does, just shut down your computer and find a bunker to hide in.

Even if Turkey wasn't in NATO, I truly believe Vladimir Putin would think ninety-nine times before messing with them.

They have plenty of hardware; they manufacture their own, buy from the US, and even pick up some Russian gear (which clearly bugs the Americans, and that tells you everything you need to know about who we're dealing with).
With a population around 85 million, they're essentially twice the size of Ukraine—though obviously, you can't just use simple math here because Ukrainians and Turks are two very different groups.

By the way, there are about 25 million Muslims living in Russia. I'm not sure how relevant that is... just a random thought.

It’s honestly exhausting when you try to wrap your head around the Russian mindset—people living under the thumb of a KGB-style regime, stuck with a leader who treats them like property while they endure endless repression
and then you look at the Ukrainians, who, despite having their territory seized and facing constant threats from Russia... decided to elect a comedian as their president
Does it really make sense for Americans to be part of the EU? It seems pretty obvious that Russians just aren't mature enough for actual freedom yet.

Apparently, if you aren't parroting whatever Western propaganda is being fed out of the mainstream media, you're automatically labeled a troll or some paid mercenary, right? Give me a break. News is news, and anyone should have the right to report it—we aren't trying to hide things or run a censorship ring like CNN, are we?

Frank Nguyen37 said:So, if that Russian convoy...🤦

Can we please—just for once—use a little logic before venting like this? These clips are from yesterday, and we're looking at a Ukrainian column. Does anyone seriously believe the Russians are just cruising in convoys down highways without having 100% air superiority in the area? Are people actually suggesting the Russian military is just some pathetic group of armed idiots??? Look, if you're going to passionately root for one side (personally, I just want this war over immediately—I don't care how—so bear with me), at least try to be somewhat rational and objective. Don't just swallow every bit of war propaganda that comes your way.

The Russians are only moving slowly because that's all we can see right now. The Ukrainians were totally unprepared. It would have been a different story if they had started prepping three months earlier.

I honestly think even the most hardcore Russia enthusiasts are starting to realize the entire ruling elite in Moscow has completely lost its mind. Now Medvedev is floating the idea of bringing back the death penalty? What is he even playing at?

Russia is being steered by a crew of lunatics unlike anything we've seen since the Great Depression.

Matthew Rodriguez9 said:Honestly, the only real fascists right now are those folks across the ocean... the ones who actually cooked up this whole mess in the first place, led by that senile old man.

Sure, there's a senile old man in power in America, but he's got a solid team around him.

In the Kremlin, you've got a younger old man who won't listen to anyone but himself. He's dealing with mental issues, plus a massive paranoia and an obsession with building some kind of empire.
It wouldn't be so bad if he wasn't sending young Russians and Ukrainians to their deaths while keeping his own people tucked away safely in London or Paris...
