Nobody from SWIFT is actually going to kick Russia out—don't even worry about it. Too many people would lose money. ☕

I'm still waiting for someone to actually make sense...
Rachel Allen55 said:If regular folks just grab guns and try to go toe-to-toe with the Russian army—who are way more trained than anyone here—it's basically suicide.

Look, I get the patriotism and the whole "defend your home" thing, I really do, but there’s a fine line between being brave and just being plain crazy.

Zensnsky is basically sending his own people straight to the meat grinder right now. If he had any sense, he'd be jumping on the phone to negotiate with Vladimir Putin immediately, whether that happens in Minsk or some neutral spot like Finland.

In a situation like this, you should be playing the long game to save your nation, not just trying to protect your own seat at the table.

Maybe it’d just be easier to surrender upfront—would probably save us a lot of unnecessary casualties...

This is a newer version of that photo from yesterday, now with the "Z" scribbled on there.

What is the purpose of those specific markings within the borders of the Russian Federation? They make sense in an active combat zone, but inside Russia itself, the logic seems absent.

Give me a break. News is news, and anyone should have the right to report it—we aren't trying to hide things or run a censorship ring like CNN, are we?

Yeah. Like, you can't even post your own thoughts without getting labeled a troll.

casualhound42 said:Exactly. That’s why the Canadians put tanks on the border to stop refugees from crossing.
And our leadership already offered to take in 1,000 refugees when we don't even have enough funds to rebuild houses back home... once again, taking food out of our own mouths to help others. There are wealthy nations out there—let them handle it (Norway, Sweden, Finland, France, Spain).

War refugees should always be welcomed; it’s like giving water to someone dying of thirst in a desert. There are no exceptions. I honestly don't understand how anyone could think differently.

Joseph Cruz said:But isn't there a third option? Could they have remained neutral, much like how Finland and Sweden functioned during the Cold War? If Ukrainians had opted for military neutrality, perhaps this war could have been avoided entirely. Consider this: the Warsaw Pact never once attacked Sweden or Finland, even though they possessed the capability to do so without any fear of triggering a NATO response that might escalate into World War III...

We really ought to start banning this kind of nonsense. The protests in Ukraine back in 2014 were sparked by the fallout over the deal with the EU; NATO was little more than a theoretical concept at that time.

Too graphic, so I pulled it

Dozens of bodies burned and some trucks... technically the video is still loaded in my browser, but there’s zero point in re-uploading it. It's way too gruesome

There is always an excuse for everything. 🙏
It wasn't Putin's fault; it was the Americans, the British, or maybe even aliens who messed up. 🙏
Russia just feels threatened. 🙏

And then there are these demands for the European Union to pay up for a country that is fundamentally lagging behind. 🙏
Sure, Sweden will ask the Russians if they can join NATO. Finland will do the same. 🙏

Right, just like how those Germans in the Sudetenland were supposedly "threatened," or how the Mexicans in the Appalachia region were—it’s always the same old story, isn't it?

Exactly. A degenerate, backward nation trying to dictate whether modern, functional countries get to join NATO or not... it's unbelievable. Pure scum. Honestly? Isolate them. Crush them economically. That's the only way.

I suspect they aren't actually short on rifles and ammo as much as they are desperate for anti-tank and anti-air capabilities, wouldn't you say? They really need MANPADS.

Russia claims they're only hitting military targets. Well, sure, if you consider the entire city of Kyiv a legitimate military target.

just another missile slamming into an apartment building.

It’s the exact same bullshit we saw during the whole COVID era—you get a handful of trolls (probably just clones of the guys who hold partial shares) with maybe a hundred or two posts under their belt, and suddenly they think they’re some kind of geniuses.

Who actually gives a damn about Telegram? If there’s anything more unreliable than Twitter, it’s definitely Telegram. There’s zero oversight, zero rules... just total chaos.

The Polish Football Federation pulled out of the World Cup qualifiers because they refuse to face Russia. According to ESPN

Honestly, this is starting to feel like a total joke to me🤦

The US is sending troops to Germany and shipping out machine guns to Kyiv.

The US is deploying troops to Germany as part of NATO reinforcement and sending machine guns to Kyiv, all while Russia pounded targets in Ukraine with artillery and cruise missiles for a third day

edit: my bad, point 6 is 1-1.5 km from downtown

Point 6 is about 7-5.0 miles from downtown

My bad, let me fix that.

Point 6 is 1km from downtown.

Point 5 is roughly 7-5.0 miles from downtown... but that road is totally barricaded, man, and I think the overpass was blown out a bit earlier too... the Russians have a hell of a job ahead of them.

William Anderson5 said:I honestly think even the most hardcore Russia enthusiasts are starting to realize the entire ruling elite in Moscow has completely lost its mind. Now Medvedev is floating the idea of bringing back the death penalty? What is he even playing at?

Russia is being steered by a crew of lunatics unlike anything we've seen since the Great Depression.

It means he’s terrified of his own shadow and wants the death penalty as a shield. In that country, whether capital punishment is actually on the books is irrelevant. If the regime decides you're an irredeemable enemy of the state, you're facing Novichok or a Chechen hitman long before any judge ever hears your case.

"RUSSIAN GENERAL: WE’VE RECEIVED ORDERS TO ATTACK ACROSS ALL SECTORS"
Following yesterday's statements from Kyiv regarding their readiness to sit down at the negotiating table, Russian units actually paused their strikes for a moment. But, since Kyiv turned down those talks, the Russian military has been ordered to launch an offensive on every single front, according to Lieutenant General Igor Konašenkov, a spokesperson for the Russian Department of Defense, as reported by the Associated Press.
It’s gonna be wild to see if the Russians actually start flooding the zones with more troops now.
