Apparently, Pupovac blocked Andrej from having that showdown in the mud. Once Plenković sprinted off to the Secretary’s office just to run straight into the arms of the Democrats and the Socialists, it was obvious that Pupovac—under Buzin's guidance—is calling the shots now. Shame on you, Plenković!

komutator said:The only people who care about this are Democrats and their flies.

Just fighting over scraps at the table.

There's truth to that. Between the Democrats and those flies of theirs, you'll find plenty of left-wing extremists too. If that weren't the case, Plenković would have been tossed into the dustbin of history long ago. People probably wouldn't even remember his name.

Mind you, they love to claim these elections are vital for both the DNC and the Libertarians—mostly because without those voters, their "golden era" would be dead in the water. They act like it’s crucial that the people they voted for actually hold the reins. But honestly, when dealing with that crowd, your opinion might just happen to align perfectly with those specific Democratic and Libertarian voters who sent the very people to Washington to keep them in power.

Indeed, these internal party elections are the single most critical event for Democrats and the left wing. Without their financial backing, Andrej Plenković won't have a shot at power for the next century. The only hope they have to maintain a grand coalition is through the "moderate, polite, perfectly groomed, highly educated Plenković who speaks sixteen languages."

I wish you’d throw a little more shade their way. But honestly, much to the disappointment of the right, that’s exactly how it’s going to play out. When Republicans are forced to choose between following their hearts or chasing pure self-interest, isn't it always going to be the interest that wins out?

That’s a stone-cold fact, if it’s coming from your brain.

Andrej Plenković is looking seriously on edge lately.
Why's that?

That is all well and good, but I fail to see what benefit is being served here. Under the leadership of Andrej Plenković, the Republican Party lost the presidential election to a left wing that has never been weaker, and they managed to pull off their worst performance in history during the European elections—hitting a mere 22 percent, which is even lower than what Jadranka Kosor achieved. Plenković is so remarkably incompetent (regardless of how much the leftist media regime praises him) that he is uniquely capable of allowing the Democratic Party to take first place. No one else could have managed such a feat. Even if Rojs were at the helm of the Republican Party, they would have garnered more votes than Berin’s Democrats.

Plenković strikes me primarily as an elitist, a sort of golden boy who’s out of touch, and if he stays at the helm of the Republican Party, we're looking at a third consecutive electoral defeat. At that point, I wouldn't be surprised if the different factions within the party just started tearing each other apart. 🕺

What kind of personal gain is there through party membership while holding onto power—do you really think anything else matters to most of the rank and file? A victory for Kovač or Stier doesn't guarantee that this specific model will be successfully carried on or sanctioned, whereas Plenković stays firmly in his seat by simply turning a blind eye to all the little "misdeeds" happening around him. Of course, things will stay exactly like this as long as he manages to secure a safe, comfortable position within the European Union institutions.

Actually, we can. Foster homes are full of kids that nobody specifically wants, yet legally, they can be fully adopted rather than just placed in temporary care.

Quinn:
So, using struggling heterosexual couples as an argument for the gay population wanting children is totally off base...
I'm just trying to show you that your claim—that they can't have kids unless they're paired with someone of the opposite sex—doesn't hold water. Even that isn't a guarantee.

Quinn:
It's not the same thing whether you actually HAD a mother or if you never had one at all... especially when your mother acts like some dude in a pink shirt...😉
There are kids who never had a mother because she passed away during childbirth, or died when they were too young to even remember her.
And frankly, having any kind of mother—even a "bro" type in a pink shirt—is better than having none at all. Look, I could give you a link to a case right here in the States where a mother and father of nine were convicted; you'd see the state those kids were living in before CPS stepped in.
You're accusing me of twisting your points, yet you're the one constantly idealizing parents, even though some of them are worse than animals.

And how exactly would he go about regulating that?

Who says someone wouldn't just tighten up the regulations to shut down those arguments entirely?

You're just throwing out assumptions now—no actual arguments to back them up...

Nah, you aren't proving anything...

Unless you're trying to argue that sexual orientation is just another illness on par with everything else...☕

Look, let’s be real—infertility isn't some permanent sentence. Science actually moves faster than most people realize, and there's a genuine chance for people to have kids when they thought the door was slammed shut. It’s all about the right treatment.

When it comes to same-sex couples, that option just isn't on the table... there’s no miracle of nature or medical breakthrough out there that can hand them a child.

🤣

To whole "cause and effect" thing—and the idea of having a logical flow to an argument—is clearly a foreign concept to you...

Honestly, if you want proof of how completely detached from reality your reasoning is, just look at that ridiculous outburst regarding mothers dying during childbirth...

That’s like me turning around and claiming abandoned kids don't need families because, hey, they technically had one for a split second once...

Look, it’s the system's job to deal with parents who aren't fit for the task...

It shouldn't be about you twisting premises around just to justify giving kids away whenever people make mistakes like that...

A kid needs a mother and a father... not two guys who got bored with their lifestyle and decided to have kids just to satisfy some selfish whim...

What could these elections actually change for the country, the people, or even just the "little guy"?

"According to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the GDP per capita in the US was only about 63 percent of the global average back in 2018. That’s essentially on par with the average GDP per capita found in places like Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, French Guiana, or even Hawaii, which, when you group them all together, sat at roughly 64 percent of the global average in 2018.

He points out that other emerging economies have pulled ahead of us much faster; now, the Romanians are outpacing us in development, and the Bulgarians are catching up quickly. In fact, statistics show that certain regions in Romania, specifically those in the west, have already become more developed than our own domestic regions.

- We have a broken economic structure. We put all our eggs in the tourism basket while completely ignoring regional growth and manufacturing. If we stay on this path, we might even see Mexico overtake us in the near future, as they are growing at quite impressive rates," Novotny notes.

These political teams are still foolishly leaning on tourism. Even someone without a degree in economics can see that this strategy is either pure incompetence or outright betrayal.

By forming that coalition between Andrej Plenković and the liberals, they’ve let the genie out of the bottle, and honestly, there's no easy way to shove it back in. The leftists have seized the opportunity to grab hold of key institutions, which is a recipe for disaster. Republicans will have a shot at striking back on the 15th, but we'll likely have to wait until the next general election to truly reset things.

The predictable, small-town posturing and armchair prophecy continue. It’s unoriginal, exhausting, and frankly, tedious... 🙄

For the Republicans and the nationalists, it seems nothing can wake them up. They ignore the fact that we’re being outpaced by Romania while Bulgaria catches up to us—all while we wait to officially become the most failed state in the European Union. The version of America they envisioned, and are desperately trying to force into existence, ensures we will forever lag behind almost every other nation in the West (including some that Europe essentially left in the dust).

After thirty years, they still haven't produced a single policy that isn't built on nationalism, revisionism, and religious exclusion. It’s all just a smoke screen—half nationalist zealotry, half fake Catholic morality—designed to hide the party-driven looting and the systematic destruction of the country they claim to love 🙄 so much.

The Republican Party is a cancer on the fabric of this nation. Choosing between Andrej Plenković and an even more "right-wing" faction is like choosing between a fast-growing tumor or one that just moves a little slower... 🤮

Calling things unoriginal and exhausting, then following up with four paragraphs? If I had actually written something original and effortless, you probably would have responded with a whole book. Hahaha.

But let's get back to the point. We're trailing behind Romania, and Bulgaria is catching up because of the Democrats who have been running the show for ages. Since 2000, practically, with the sole exception of that one high-performing administration where the economy actually breathed for a second, it's been the same story.

Just wait until we finally swap out the Democrats after twenty years; you'll see how the country wakes up. We don't need a miracle, just to replicate that one successful term and actually follow through on those policies for four years straight.

Just a little bit of trivia for you—the biggest economic boom in our history actually happened under the Ivica Račan administration.
I know this isn't exactly your cup of tea, and you probably don't have the bandwidth to dive into it right now, but... those old-school Democrats were actually quite successful at what they did. 😁

Exactly. Just take a look at the surge in public and foreign debt during that era, and everything becomes crystal clear. It's even more obvious once you compare that GDP growth and debt trajectory against other Central European nations.

Even my grandmother could drive up GDP just by racking up debt. And she was an illiterate woman over 90 years old.

The bottom line is that the US is falling behind because of left-wing policies pushed by both the Democratic Party and the Republican Party, and it’s a total disaster. I'll say it again: we need four years of what happened under Orban—the only true conservative leader since 2000—to see real progress. When you put the current poverty levels into context compared to others, the picture is grim. The Democrats and Republicans have been pushing leftist agendas for twenty years now, and enough is enough.

You'd have to look at the budget then versus now... besides,
What could he even do after all that privatization went down?

But I'm genuinely curious—who would even dare to go full neoliberal in today's America?
The so-called "economic right."
They’re always the "top experts" (usually just guys from big finance) when they start pushing it as the magic fix.

Anyway. Smith doesn't have a clue about economics—doesn't say a word about it—yet he’s acting like he could be Prime Minister. (Or maybe not... honestly, there's a whole crowd on the right who act like they'd be leaders when they wouldn't last a day.)

Well, hold on now—take medicine, for instance; it has already made it possible for women to conceive using donor gametes (both sperm and eggs).

And that applies to straight couples.

It’s a perfectly standard, common practice these days.

That very same medical science has also opened the door to surrogacy—whether it's for straight couples where the woman can't carry a pregnancy, or even for MM couples, and so on. Of course, you won't find that happening here in the States...🤦
