Oh, look at that. Nadežda Murganić is at it again. I’m sure her "visionary" leadership is exactly what that 7th District needs right now. Just great.😁

Andrej Plenković is playing an all-or-nothing game, either hoping the Republican Party can secure a majority to form The Cabinet on its own, or perhaps praying they lose the election entirely, leaving someone else to deal with the inevitable fallout.

He’s kind of making a cowardly move here, I guess, mostly because his cushy job in Washington, D.C. isn't at risk. He probably doesn't even care if the Republican Party wins or loses—maybe he’d actually prefer they don't form a government at all. That way, the opposition gets stuck cleaning up the wreckage of the tourism industry and the entire economy, while he just sits pretty and collects his paycheck from the European Union.

Is she definitely on the list, or is the lineup still up in the air?

From what I gather, this is just the local Republican Party suggesting names. The final call rests with Andrej Plenković.

Today's wiretapping scandal is heading down a total dead end. Cortez is just some insignificant errand boy; there’s no way he came up with this or pulled it off on his own. If information was actually obtained through surveillance like this, then the real question is who authorized the bugging of those journalists .

Honestly, the whole thing is nonsense. It feels manufactured just to distract everyone from the actual issues—like those oil deals with the Canadians—by focusing on the spying on someone like Kresic. Plus, we're talking about a closed group here. Any single member could have flipped on Kresic for cash or whatever else.

Is there anything left to burn in this godforsaken wasteland? These "technocrats" in the interim administration are busy scrubbing everything in sight. Aladrović has already pilfered the funds meant for the disabled, while others just play dumb—or maybe they actually are that clueless. It’s a gathering of vultures. Go ahead, give them your vote again at the next election. I get those mindless sheep from certain echo chambers who vote 100% for ADEZE every single time. But I truly don't understand those who claim to be "principled" yet stubbornly keep voting for thieves...

Coric serves as a cabinet minister within a major department, sits on the central committee of the Republican Party, and is credited as the architect of their election platform.

That said, given how incompetent he appeared today, I find it hard to believe he possesses the intellect to draft such a document; it is far more likely his ministry officials were forced to write the platform for him if they hoped to keep their jobs.

Remember when those Republicans were shouting about arms smuggling rings, only for it to turn out maybe a week later that they had plenty of dirt on themselves too, right when that massive scandal involving the US Armed Forces broke?
Well, the truth just slipped out of them.

And now, Dodik just said this
View on twitter
It’s totally worth watching the two-minute clip just to see how things look from across the border.
Basically—
"You guys are just a bunch of amateurs, or should I say, bunglers...
Even your own party won't nominate you—I listen to your phone calls, so I know... Well, I listen, obviously, because once you're president, you'll be doing a lot of listening too..."
It was such a show. 😁

Then there's Coric, who basically acted like that kind of stuff is "normal," so I guess he ended up letting a few things slip too...

By the way, I couldn't find anything about this in The Wall Street Journal. Did they even cover it?

Coric "just happens to know"

"When confronted with the fact that he’s exposing private communications—stuff he shouldn't even be aware of—the Secretary pulls out what might be his most unbelievable defense yet. He actually compared the chat logs from those news groups to the signed memorandum involving ExxonMobil, Janaf, and the very department he leads. 'You guys are leaking private info too,' Coric said, clearly referring back to that same memorandum he helped sign."

What kind of defense is that? What kind of comeback is Coric even trying to pull here? It’s just... wow. Straight to the point, I guess. 😁

And now, look at this—today he's "trying to explain himself."
But man, it’s tough to explain. You can see him struggling, I mean, the guy is really sweating it, and he still can't quite find the right words...

The quality of that answer was about as smooth as an Ivo Karlović topspin backhand.😁

Newsweek's report on the scandal at a nursing home in a major US city. It’s heavy stuff—they’re accusing local Republicans, including the Secretary, of a massive cover-up, along with the epidemiologists tied to them.

The whole situation has spiraled into a top-tier political mess. Over the last few weeks, Newsweek has uncovered that the eye of this storm is actually the Republican Party's political secretary, Ante Sanders. Apparently, he was essentially blackmailed by Škaričić. Because of some murky history between them, he buckled under Škaričić's pressure. The ultimatum was basically this: if they protect him, he won't go public about the broader failures that allowed the virus to tear through that nursing home in a major US city.

One Republican source with direct knowledge of the matter told Newsweek two weeks ago: “In this complicated web of relationships, the affair is already causing massive damage to the Republican Party on a national level. This thing has practically swallowed Beroš whole and seriously damaged his positive public image because he protected Škaričić without question. It was all done to sweep the responsibility of local party officials under the rug, but instead, it sunk the Republican Party's reputation nationwide. This hits the President particularly hard, because there's a chance he directly encouraged those same local officials to take a cover-up approach when he publicly stated he wouldn't allow Škaričić to be attacked just for being a Republican. That happened the very same day the scandal broke in the nursing home, but very quickly—once he got the full picture of who Škaričić really was—he issued an order to the local level to fix the problem immediately.”

Following the President's orders, Škaričić was actually forced to sign his own resignation in the early days of the scandal, which he did. But then, he changed his mind and rescinded the signature, thanks to significant assistance from his unofficial political mentor and current Republican political secretary, Ante Sanders. Sources from local political circles in the city tell Newsweek that most of the local party leadership agreed with this move, and eventually, even some high-profile members at the national level went along with it. It was pure self-preservation; they were terrified of the information Škaričić holds and might leak at the worst possible moment. If he talked, it wouldn't just shake the careers of prominent Republicans—it would shatter the party's entire image.

A massive shift in the Media Matters trial; former head accountant Branka Pavošević has changed her testimony, effectively sinking top Republican Party officials
She claims she finally had her first real chance today to present her defense without all the intense pressure being placed on her and her family. She explained that everything she did was strictly following orders from the Republican Party's general secretaries, and she honestly had no idea she was participating in any kind of criminal activity, noting she didn't question their actions simply because she was terrified of losing her job at the party.

She went after general secretary Ivan Jarnjak, pointing out that he never instructed her to pay standard payroll taxes for certain employees, opting instead to pay them through various honorariums, which ultimately cheated both those workers and the government, though Pavošević notes that Jarnjak himself hasn't been charged.

She also mentioned that she was acting on instructions from the late Branko Vukelić, who also served as a general secretary for the Republican Party for a period of time. “I hardly ever communicated with Sanders in his capacity as the head of the Republican Party. What I previously told the FBI about Sanders ordering everything was only said because I was under immense pressure, both personally and regarding my family,” Pavošević emphasized, though she didn't specify exactly who was leaning on her.

Back then, she claimed the Republican Party was drowning in debt, and she recalled an instance where Sanders brought her about $8,000 in a bag, telling her they were just donations coming in from overseas. She also brought up Ratko Maček, whom she described as the absolute "strongman" of the party.

He would constantly bring her cash without ever explaining its origin, and Sanders explicitly ordered her not to record these funds so they could be used for off-the-books payments. Even though she was totally shocked by that order, she ended up following it anyway.

There’s a fresh update regarding the Media Matters trial, where the Republican Party has officially dropped their demand for George W. Bush and the rest of the group to pay out $8 million in damages.

Joe Biden: It’s no surprise to see Nancy Pelosi on that list, given how much she prides herself on being part of the Republican Party.

"I haven't gone through their specific statements yet, but let's be honest, Adam Schiff simply doesn't have the capability to lead the opposition, let alone run the country. I am actually looking forward to those direct debates so we can clearly define the legacy of this administration, especially since the US has built such a genuine international reputation under our watch, where we stood firmly behind the private sector and achieved real victories in public health while pushing hard to revitalize the tourism industry. The campaign is right around the corner, and we'll soon see everyone's true colors, though I am quite certain that American citizens are wise and well-informed enough to know exactly who deserves their trust amidst these challenges and who will continue the path toward economic recovery," Joe Biden said, according to CNN.

If the court doesn't accept the proposed evidence before the Republican Party's verdicts are handed down tomorrow

We're looking at heavy fines and asset seizures if the Republican Party ends up facing charges

They’ll be presenting their official platform either tomorrow or the day after

During the trial involving Sanders and the Republican Party, the former head of accounting changed her story:
* today was her first shot at providing a defense without being coerced for herself and her family
* I barely even spoke with Sanders
* everything was done on orders from the Republican Party's chief secretaries

It’s perfectly logical that Sanders wasn't personally carrying around envelopes full of cash; that just shifts the blame onto other high-ranking party officials. As for witness intimidation, I don't even need to go there.

There isn't even a trace left

Quincy:
The FBI expanded its investigation today against the head of a small town in rural America, Nediljko bubnjar, following an inquiry launched back in January regarding the misappropriation of at least $140,000 in municipal funds for personal use.

Without naming the defendant directly, the FBI reported that from January 3rd through December 29th, 2019, Bubnjar used municipal debit and credit cards to withdraw at least $3.75 via ATMs or bank branches to cover his own expenses.

Furthermore, he used those same cards to pay for private costs totaling at least $46 at various restaurants, grocery stores, and other retail locations both here in the States and abroad.

"In this manner, he obtained improper financial benefits totaling at least $49, causing losses to the municipality of this small town in rural America," the FBI stated.

The investigation into Bubnjar was originally kicked off in January because he allegedly spent a similar amount using nearly identical methods just one year prior.

Back in June of last year, the FBI filed charges against Bubnjar and his former deputy, Kristina Erlić, over suspicions that they defrauded the small town of nearly $300 through abuse of power and forgery.

In that specific instance, Bubnjar faces allegations of fabricating official business trips to justify per diem payments and travel expenses, while also withdrawing municipal cash for his own personal gain.
And hey, didn't that reporter catch the Attorney General in a secret meeting with the defendant Maček?

😲😲

I mean, seriously, good catch by Margetić.

"So what if he's under indictment?"
"Is he... guilty or something?"

Is this like the Republican Party 6.0 or whatever version they're running now?

And honestly, that quote about Škabrnja was pretty spot on too.

Stuff like this happens in the Republican Party basically every single week... I guess.
