Scott Hall5 said:If it were up to me, I’d reinstate the death penalty for anyone betraying American interests or selling off the nation's assets—everything from our forests and water to our coastlines and oceans!
And maybe just ten $0.00 years in prison for every ten bucks stolen!

Sanders would definitely be the first one getting that wake-up call.

Death penalty? That seems a bit extreme. We still have places like Alcatraz just sitting there empty and underused, instead of having people throwing stones at each other or moving them from one side to the other just because they feel like it.

The candidate list is a disaster. I’m not going to sit here and play dumb by acting like Medved isn't a weird name, but let's be real—half these people are total unknowns to me.

Who even is that?

He’s the main Republican Party member in Krapina-Zagorje County. He’s actually pretty well known for hooking up local Republican Party folks with cushy, fake jobs over at the local paper, all with net salaries around 16 or 17 grand.
A pretty slippery guy if you ask me, especially privately.
But the Zagorje area is a Democratic Party stronghold. People around here aren't foolish enough to fall for that kind of thing.

Kenneth Perez15 said:Finally! If the Mayor of Metković—who basically acts as the alpha and omega for his entire party—could just jump into a coalition with the Republican Party only to have them crush him in Metković back in 2017, then Hrebak can certainly afford to push things back another year. He might as well hand over his seat to a coalition partner and just pull the plug on the Liberal Party once and for all.

This really caught me off guard, and not in a good way. I honestly expected him to distance himself from his former party leader and stop playing second fiddle to the Republican Party, but clearly, my expectations were way too high.

By the way, Tomislav Tolušić has moved into the business world and is just waiting on millions in subsidies from his old crew.

So, the Secretary of Agriculture sets up subsidies worth more than $1.5 million, steps down from politics, and then, almost immediately, submits an application for those very same funds—which will be reviewed by the people who used to report directly to him.

It’s quite a fascinating little life story, I suppose.

I imagine the moral compasses of the establishment will simply claim that everything was done strictly by the book. 🙂

Timothy Stewart4 said:I agree. And I'd go a step further: trying to scare people with Bernardić is completely pointless. He’s so incredibly insignificant that it's impossible to frame him as some terrifying, monstrous force, no matter how hard the Great European tries to paint him that way.

Even someone like me, who doesn't exactly sit around watching the news all day, has heard Andrej Plenković repeat the same tired line about Bernardić being incompetent probably a million times.

The campaign's focus is completely off the mark; by obsessing over Bernardić this much, they're actually just giving him more relevance than he deserves. On top of that, the go-to mantra seems to be "America is thriving, things are great here in the US," which feels incredibly tone-deaf when people—whether due to the pandemic or the recent earthquakes—simply do not feel great. Whether that sentiment is objective or subjective isn't really the point—it's the reality people are living.

What people are actually looking for is hope. They want someone who presents themselves as the person capable of pulling them out of this current mess.

For four years, we've been fed the same tired, empty mantras from this "globalist" type, without a single shred of substance. I'd expect better from a high schooler.
If you actually counted the words, even quiet Karamarko probably said more meaningful sentences. Meanwhile, Plenković is constantly plastered all over the media.

I find myself utterly perplexed as to who actually pulled the strings behind this latest wind farm scandal, a mess involving hundreds of millions of dollars. The possibilities are as follows:

a) The State Attorney's Office is an independent entity simply performing its duties. Ha. Let’s just dismiss that option immediately.
b) Andrej Plenković is essentially sacrificing his own people to arrest them, all so he can present himself as a crusader against corruption right before the elections. I highly doubt that is the case.
c) For some inexplicable reason, Europe finds Plenković problematic and is moving to sideline him. Even that seems unlikely; Plenković is their man. He isn't Viktor Orbán.
d) An internal power struggle between Brkić (and Karamarko) versus Andrej Plenković. However, the State Attorney's Office appears to be targeting both sides. They have arrested Karamarko's wife and Josipa Rimac. This newest investigation into the wind farms points toward Ćorić and potentially even leads directly to Plenković himself. If the State Attorney's Office is striking at everyone, who exactly is pulling their strings? Is it the Democratic Party? That brings us to our fifth possibility.
e) The Democratic Party. Not a chance. They are far too cozy with the Republican Party; even back when they held a massive 80-seat majority in Parliament, they didn't go after Republicans because they knew the pendulum would eventually swing back toward them once the administration changed. Besides, they lack the actual capability to pull this off. They certainly aren't up to it.

So, who is it then? Under immense public pressure, Plenković turned against Milan Bandić, and now it seems Bandić is making one final desperate push, digging through dusty old files to pull out whatever he can find. To me, that sounds like pure science fiction. I haven't the slightest clue what is truly happening. One thing is certain: someone is framing someone else.

Chloe Gomez47 said:From what I can see, Andrej Plenković is betting everything on a "stability" platform and trying to scare people away from the left, which is honestly a total swing and a miss.
The US and the whole world are staring down the biggest economic mess since the Great Depression, so I’m not sure anyone actually cares about "stability" right now. It feels like more voters this time around are craving real change and have a bit of a revolutionary vibe. Then again, maybe they're just banking on people giving them a pass because the pandemic situation is finally settling down, so they want to keep things steady to stay on course.
Their other big move is basically telling everyone to vote Republican just to block the Democrats. They’re clearly trying to snag those voters who usually lean toward Skoro or the Bridge party, but it’s probably not going to fly for a few reasons. First off, both Skoro and the Bridge party are polling pretty well, so they’ll likely clear the threshold in almost every district—meaning a vote for them isn't a wasted one. Second, this isn't 2015 when we were coming off a Democratic administration. Most of their target voters don't even think the Democrats have a shot at winning, and they aren't exactly terrified of the Democratic Party; most people just laugh at Zoran Bernardić and don't see him as a real threat. So, this whole strategy isn't going to get the voters moving the way they hope.

Great post.👍

f)You mentioned Bandić. Who knows, maybe he’s still got enough influence left in him. It’s possible these are his final death throes, and he's decided to drag the whole mess down with him since everyone has turned their backs on him. It smells like mafia business.
g)The Masons. I’m being serious. Maybe Jelenić, the former prosecutor, was removed due to public outcry and pressure from the Prime Minister simply because of his Masonic ties. Who can say how deep this goes or what kind of earthquake is actually occurring within that entire underworld? Perhaps someone—or something—is trying to remind everyone who the real boss is. Though, I don't think that excuses the Republican Party one bit.

We all know "your path" doesn't involve actually taking the lead.

Your path is always just being a servant to the Republican Party big shots.

Your path is acting as a Republican decoy to lure in slightly more conservative voters, mostly because your ancestors were all over those old extremist military circles.

As far as leadership goes, you're sitting at absolute zero.

So, our guy Andrew—who a lot of people claim is the absolute best thing this country has going for it—is basically admitting he’s got zero interest in actually fighting corruption. He’s out here suggesting that if there were some invisible hand pulling the strings at the Department of Justice to make sure investigations never even happen, it would be just fine. He’s practically waving a flag for avoiding the fight.

The only thing actually "right-wing" about the Republican Party is how they scare people with the Democratic Party.

They’re so tucked away in their own little corner that even when "conservative" candidates run, they can't find a single shred of actual right-wing policy in the Republican platform—they just end up recycling the same old tired lines. It's always stuff like, "We can't afford to split the conservative vote," or "We can't let the Democrats take power," or my personal favorite, "Now isn't the time for experiments."

Look at this guy, hanging out on an APN thread.
Investigation Report: Miami Police Chief was renting out government-subsidized housing to tourists

Good grief, what is wrong with people? It’s wild how they use the state just to line their own pockets.

It is heartening to see that a local police chief earns enough to juggle two mortgages, fully furnish an apartment, and still manage not to rent a single room out.

He also maintains a sense of tradition. He even put his grandfather Rafael Boban's name on the door, much like how Lovro Kuščević hung a photo of his own grandfather in his house.

Then you have the critics claiming that people in America struggle to make ends meet. Americans will be Americans; they get bitter whenever someone shows actual competence or knows how to navigate life, even if they are just working off a decent police salary.

Great. Honestly, I hope we start heading in an upward direction with everything else too.

To borrow a phrase from old man Kuščević—thank God we have something to show for it.

The Republican Party has its hands in everything; it’s remarkably easy to launder stolen funds through real estate acquisitions funded by preferential loans or gifts from relatives living abroad.

It honestly blows my mind how these people have absolutely zero imagination when it comes to laundering their stolen cash—it’s always the same old story! They just dump it all into overpriced real estate, flip some luxury condos, or go on massive shopping sprees for designer bags and high-end goods. It’s so predictable! 🙏

Give me a break. Ten million dollars? Please. In the grand scheme of things, that's pocket change compared to what the real heavy hitters are moving around.
