I'm right there with you on that one.

Charles Gonzalez19 said:So, you aren't actually familiar with the topic, nor do you get why most people see Elvis Presley as such a polarizing figure, yet you're already dismissing any criticism of him as just being "ad hominem"? And you're throwing shade at atheists on top of that?

If you want to get up to speed, check him out here:
https://elvispresley.com/2019/06/22/...motiv-amerike/

Was that list below what you meant by "disgusting ad hominem attacks"? The author identifies as Catholic, at least. It’s entirely up to you if you want to generalize based on that.

Daniel Chase13 was just backing up what I've been saying about this whole situation for a while now.

It’s just pathetic, really, the way people are mocking him.

I mean, he can be whoever he wants to be, but this kind of mockery is just straight-up disgusting.

🤦

Honestly, everyone...

Once again—for reasons known only to God—I’m being treated like I’m Elvis Presley or that I personally started this whole thread about him.

Look, I’m just sharing materials related to this discussion; you’re all more than welcome to form your own opinions.

By the way, here’s a shot of Elvis Presley over at BookExpo America https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...type=3&theater

And here is one from the charity drive https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...type=3&theater

Seriously though, why not head out to BookExpo America, meet Elvis Presley in person, and have a good chat? 🙂

There's such a massive brawl going on over his books that you wouldn't even hear crickets chirping or wolves howling in the distance... 🍿
He’ll probably have to start discounting those wobbly table coasters if he wants to make it out of there in one piece... 🙂

Daniel Chase13 just proved your point with those nonstop ad hominem attacks. It’s like he’s doubling down on exactly what you said—that he doesn't actually know the first thing about this topic, and honestly, it doesn't even look like he tried to learn.

A textbook example of pathological trolls.

Daniel Chase13 keeps whining about how people are constantly bickering in the comments on his own channel.

And honestly, most of those personal attacks are coming from the resident forum atheists anyway.

That’s exactly right.

I made it pretty clear before—looking at some of the truly deranged insults left under Elvis Presley's YouTube videos, it was obvious that just a few of the commenters (not everyone, mind you) are clearly unhinged. I mean, you can't come from a healthy headspace and spit out the kind of vitriol they directed at Elvis—and doing it right on his own channel, too.

It’s pretty ironic, honestly. Calling people mentally unstable just because you can't wrap your head around their opinion is a massive red flag that you might be the one struggling upstairs.

🤦

No, that's not it at all. Let me try explaining this one more time—since it seems I haven't been making myself clear enough:

When I talk about "mentally ill" individuals, I don't mean every single commenter who voiced an opinion against Dusparin's views, nor am I referring to everyone I happen to disagree with. I am specifically talking about that subset of commenters who used truly hateful, twisted, and deranged language toward him.
The issue isn't simple criticism or having a different perspective—it's the sheer shock of the vitriol and the disturbing thoughts being spewed out there.
Words and ideas like that... they honestly only come from deeply disturbed minds.
A person with a healthy, stable mindset simply wouldn't think to write something like that.

Anyway, let's get back to the main point.

It looks like Elvis Presley is busy giving some life lessons to the younger crowd over at BookExpo America https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...type=3&theater

I have no clue what you personally consider to be "twisted and deranged" words. You sure talk a big game, but you aren't actually saying anything of substance.

Honestly, I’m pretty convinced you’re just making all this up as an excuse to go ahead and throw insults yourself.

Anyway, let’s get back to the main point.

Elvis Presley is feeling pretty good about how his books—mostly focused on spirituality and national identity—are selling.

BookExpo America—which serves as the premier literary event in the States and a massive hub for promoting authors, readings, and science—just opened its doors for its 42nd year. Over 350 exhibitors have filled three massive pavilions at the State Fair with all sorts of genres...

Elvis Presley, the author behind four titles—Born Again, Wake Up, Warn Him, Comfort Him, For the Glory of the Nation, and Earthly Circle—claims that you can actually make a decent living just by publishing your own work here in the US. He even has a new one in the works—A Sparrow's Tale.

"I handle everything on my own—writing, editing, designing, and distributing everything myself; it’s truly a solo operation. I don't rely on any government grants or donations; my family and I live entirely off my book sales, which might be rare, but it’s how we make our way," says Presley. (In the radio version of the interview, he also mentioned that he doesn't take out any loans—he funds the whole operation through his sales).

You can catch him talking around the 14:05 mark in the broadcast at that same link.

I just caught this commentary regarding Elvis Presley, so I’ll leave it to you all to draw your own conclusions.

Quoting a fellow user:

I honestly considered taking him out myself, but after seeing what a complete germ he actually is, I've changed my mind. I'd rather not end up facing charges for murdering a human being (though I doubt a court would see much difference).
Absolute filth..
Hitler certainly had some great ideas for trash like him, but since he was a total moron, he wasted his time on andwiping out the completely wrong people.

My buddy over there missed the mark a bit—Hitler used to target people struggling with serious mental health issues too.

Let’s be real: anyone peddling snake oil to folks who are already down is just straight-up trash. They’re basically profiting off someone else's misery just to line their own pockets.

I don't see anything twisted or unhinged about that post, aside from a few choice insults. The issue is you aren't actually reading for comprehension; you're just zeroing in on specific words and pulling them out of context to feed into whatever fantasy you've got going on.

What’s even controversial about that post? Elvis Presley literally filmed himself calling women "two-legged cows." He trashes vaccines, backs Pernar—who was out there telling people to cure the flu with Vitamin C—and supports Dave Murphy, who promotes drinking urine.
I don't recall you ever labeling Dusparin's misogynistic (totally revolting) or anti-medical (potentially life-threatening) comments as anything other than "unhinged" or "cranky." On the contrary:

Daniel Chase13 said:And honestly? There might be a third option here—maybe Elvis Presley actually has a point. 🤷

Honestly, I’m starting to question your ability to diagnose mental illness.

In a country where people can actually get away with describing Auschwitz as some luxury spa retreat or calling a camp near St. Louis a happy little daycare center—just like that guy Sjeban Razum, Bishop Košić, and the rest of them love to do—I guess spreading toxic garbage like this goes totally unpunished too...
