I realize there might be very few people here who feel this way, if any at all, but is it truly possible to belong to no school of thought whatsoever? I am talking about a person who holds no specific philosophical, religious, or political dogma—someone who simply respects everyone else's worldview while recognizing that adhering to any particular ideology offers no practical benefit to their daily life. Is it actually feasible to remain entirely indifferent to deep philosophical, political, or scientific inquiries and view them as irrelevant to one's existence? Are there any individuals among us who live this way?

Which "-ism" are you even talking about? Someone can be interested in philosophy, religion, or politics without being boxed into a specific ideology—you can't just shove everyone into a little ideological corner.
Then you have people whose beliefs clearly fit into an existing ideology.
And finally, there's a whole group that just doesn't care about any of it.

Oh, and don't forget about "clientelism"—that's a very specific "-ism," and those folks definitely make a living off it. 😁

I am speaking about all "isms" in a general sense. Whether we are discussing political, religious, or philosophical affiliations, I am talking about someone who is simply a human being and nothing more. There are no animals that are communists, fascists, atheists, agnostics, Catholics, or Protestants; there are only humans. All other creatures simply exist without such labels. My point is about the absence of a defined stance.

But what specifically shouldn't we have a stance on?

I think you're taking the whole "label" thing way too broad—like you're grouping every single social clique together.
As Aristotle put it, man is a "political animal," so anyone who is completely detached from that is either a god or a beast.
And as for not having an opinion... I already told you, we don't all need to have a take on everything.

I was actually thinking the exact same thing. I’ve looked everywhere, and honestly, you won't find a definition for that in any standard American dictionary.

My point isn't about having an opinion on everything, but rather about those specific questions concerning the topics I previously listed. I am referring to an average person who simply isn't interested in anyone's supposed truths, ideologies, or theories.

It’s essentially just the reverse of being in front of something. ☕

It’s tough because we’re social creatures—we actually care about each other—and that means there’s always some kind of influence at play, even on thinkers of that caliber. Constant stuff like that.

"A man without a philosophical stance." What on earth is that supposed to mean?

It doesn't necessarily have to be philosophical; it could also refer to having no ideological or political convictions. We are talking about someone who isn't particularly interested in religion or science—someone who simply exists without believing in anything, because, quite frankly, they just couldn't care less.

And honestly—it’ll be hard to recognize him, even if you actually ran into him, unless you can spot him by his own nature.

It seems like every single person who expresses an opinion is immediately shoved into some narrow little "-ism."
And then you’ve got the people who don't have a stance at all, who just drift along without any convictions whatsoever.
I mean, honestly, we finally have enough labels to cover the entire planet like cheap wallpaper.😁

DAVMLA:

Is there anyone out there who doesn't belong to any group?

Hell yeah there is! That’s me. I have zero respect for national, religious, political, or class divisions. They've been the root cause of every major war, terror attack, genocide, and bout of poverty in history. Honestly, they're just pure evil. Because of that, I built my own worldview centered on global unity—basically by stripping away all those labels people cling to. I base all of this on discovering a single, universal law governing matter, life, and nature, which I laid out in my book:

THE LAW OF EXISTENCE.
