Oof... buckle up. I have a feeling the comments on this thread from our ladies are gonna get pretty spicy once they see the previous posts!

it sounds like you aren't exactly thrilled with certain parts of yourself—your Jungian shadow, if you will. 🙂

Honestly, it’s hardly any surprise when you consider how most decent, level-headed men end up being the ones left to just shoulder all the nonsense women throw their way. ☕

Only thing is, 😈 I gave it a positive spin for this topic—just so nobody accidentally takes offense or anything.. 😉

Besides, the whole thread was already set up like some twisted version of the Prodigal Son anyway.☕

Poor things—I actually feel bad for those "normal" men who spent their whole lives treating their wives like personal assistants, making sure everything was served on a silver platter while they focused entirely on themselves and their own hobbies... and then they act totally shocked when the woman finally snaps. I honestly don't even know what to say, it's almost sad. 🤣
Guys like that would probably be best off just moving back in with their moms and staying there forever.

Ugh, I had to reread my own post just to figure out where I even said that... 🤷
You completely misread me. It’s actually quite the opposite—my first premise is that the ego acts as a potential controlling factor. My second point is about the quality of that control; women are more capable at it, which leads me to conclude they’re more spiritual...

Dana Davis5 said:But honestly? Those masks slip pretty fast when you put two women under the same roof. I mean, no man can be quite as sneaky or downright malicious—men might yell at each other's faces, sure, but ten minutes later they're grabbing a beer, watching the game, or just chatting away like nothing ever happened. But women? They'll fight tooth and nail for dominance, using all sorts of subtle, underhanded tactics to get their way. Though, once a man walks back into the room, suddenly she's acting all sweet and innocent, like her nails aren't even dry yet—hardly capable of scratching anyone's eyes out. 😁

The snake in the Garden wasn't even on the tree to begin with; it crawled straight out of the female heart.

Man, you are brutal toward your own gender... 😁

- Again, it all depends on the situation and how you see it (and once again, instead of saying underhanded, I’m going with devious 🙂)...
If we're saying men can't be as devious or malicious as you claim, then they're basically limited in one area of operation; so, they struggle to see the full picture since they aren't using every tool in the kit. They’ll miss some crucial detail in the process, right? Whether that's a curse or a blessing is really up to the individual... 🙂

- And as for the whole claws thing (🤣), I'll give you that. Men are more inclined to just back off quickly to restore peace and quiet, so they can focus their energy on "smarter" things that women don't value nearly as much; so we end up right back at that male-female dynamic coalition...
But if the female brain is too complex even for women themselves to grasp, let alone men—well, maybe that’s just more proof of a higher spirituality...
Or maybe it’s just the beauty and mystery of reaching for something unattainable...

🙂

Ryan Wilson2 said:To be blunt, my stance is that women possess a natural, innate predisposition toward spirituality, whereas men typically gravitate toward these pursuits merely because they find it attractive to women. 🙂

Look, keeping it short and sweet...

PS. Honestly, I have no clue how this thread turned into such a mess of horniness and chaos, but clearly, you can't escape the madness no matter which corner of the internet you hide in.. 😁

Don't worry, the men will get their turn eventually. 😁
Anyway, that bluntness toward women—as you put it—actually allows for this incredible level of introspection. To me, it feels like a byproduct of that deep intuition women carry; we all know that intuition is basically a direct line to the Source.
Personally, I don't think a woman even needs to "work" on herself to be spiritual. All she really needs is to focus on building things up—focusing on wisdom rather than destruction, or wasting energy on gossip, pettiness, jealousy, and spite.
A woman is pretty much perfect just as she is, provided she chooses wisdom. It’s different for men, though—they usually have to put in a lot more work just to reach what I'd call a woman's "factory settings."

Staying at home with Mom isn't the issue; it's the growing trend of women opting out entirely. It's becoming a noticeable social shift, particularly in highly progressive American circles. As people age, work often takes precedence over intimacy, and once the raw passion fades, the math just doesn't add up for many women anymore. Between the endless obligations, the rising costs, and playing free therapist to a partner who won't grow up, it feels like a massive drain on energy with zero ROI. And if you're just looking for physical connection, marriage isn't a requirement in this day and age. If someone really wants to find younger, more attractive, and more practical options, they could always head to the Philippines.😁 Obviously, I'm not talking about life here in the States; living with American women can be a struggle.😳

Of course, I’m talking about those who actually make an effort to master themselves. Those who just can't get a date don't really get a say in this. 😁

''Regardless of what Anando believes about Buddha, he still seeks clarity. He wants to know, among other things, why women strive to reach the essence of Truth. Buddha tells him it is because women lack self-control and are easily tempted. In terms of intellect, creativity, intuition, and self-awareness, a woman has the exact same opportunities as a man. Women simply express their emotions more intensely, which is the only real difference. It is precisely in the struggle to control those emotions—the tendency to lead with the heart rather than the head—that Buddha finds the primary reason women strive for the highest levels of reason.''

The way this thread was titled is just clumsy; it’s basically an invitation for people to pick sides and start fighting, which has already led to a bunch of sexist comments piling up. It’s making the whole discussion completely useless.

I’m suggesting we rename this thing and maybe give everyone a much-needed reality check to clear the air.

On one hand, I think she explained quite well why men have historically reached higher intellectual and "spiritual" levels...
on the other hand... how do you even define spirituality? Women reach states of being through childbirth that they didn't even know existed, finding the entire meaning of life in that experience...

Thirdly, and most importantly: if you feel any urge to dominate someone or search for reasons to justify doing so, that is a massive red flag that something is seriously wrong with you. It’s a sign you really need to work on your own spiritual growth. 😉

You always say things like this when you write posts like these.

Immature women are drawn to indifference, while men who aren't interested in hookup culture tend to turn toward spirituality.

Well, look at that—the guys finally get their turn... and not even in a sneaky way either. 😁

And it's not like we don't have to do anything at all... just standing still without nurturing your potential actually destroys the spirit or traps it, putting limits on how much it can grow.
As for that whole "wasting energy" thing—I don't see it as being that negative. Everything you listed there is just part of being human, and denying those things would be like denying humanity itself. The problem only starts when a person can't step away from those traits, or worse, when those traits become the peak of their development.
Real wisdom comes from learning from your mistakes—especially the ones you make when you're young. That’s probably why the image of God is always interpreted as some old guy with a beard. 🙂

Regarding us men being spiritually "damaged goods"—look, my fellow forum friend, we aren't actually *that* far behind... especially when it comes to those "factory settings." 😉

Every woman has a bit of a devious side in her, so don't go underselling me there, buddy—I am a woman, after all, and my ego can definitely handle the truth, so don't worry about me. 😁

When a woman neglects herself, it's usually because she's poured everything into serving others or looking after her family. It's different for men—if a man decides to serve, he tends to dive headfirst into spirituality and just tosses everything else aside.
That seems to be another big divide between the genders to me. A woman is capable of learning from her own mistakes through that act of service, growing and gaining wisdom along the way. But I'm not so sure a man can achieve the same thing—actually, I'm pretty convinced he can't, because men just don't have that specific kind of potential women possess. And I'm talking strictly about the potential for practical spirituality here, not just sitting around theorizing about it.

I tend to djeliti this perspective. It strikes me that, for the most part, women often lean into concepts like "positive thinking" or "spiritual bypassing"—both of which are classic examples of what I’d call "spirituality gone wrong." Of course, it's difficult to prove such a thing, and I'm wary of making sweeping generalizations, but I suspect there's a tendency to view spirituality as a means to achieve comfort and stability. Real personal transformation, however, usually requires stepping into much more painful and uncomfortable territory, an adventure that many seem hesitant to embark upon.

If that's the case, then why on earth do they dive into marriages and relationships with such enthusiasm? 🤣

I suspect most people do it because they mistake that initial rush of being in love for a permanent state of being. It’s hard to wrap my head around the fact that, despite everything previous generations have learned through trial and error, we seem destined to trip over the same stones. We go into these unions expecting some kind of fairy tale miracle, but I suppose it boils down to a fundamental lack of foresight. Most of us simply lack the imagination required to truly grasp the complexities and inevitable friction of long-term commitment based solely on the stories of others; we feel we have to experience the fallout ourselves to truly understand it.

And hey, if I said your ego could handle it, I wasn't planning on belittling you... I'm not exactly a spiritual heavyweight myself—I am a man, after all. 🙂

What I'm actually getting at is that women have a higher potential for spirituality, though maybe not in terms of raw ability, but in how they actually develop it.
But one thing isn't clear to me—based on what you wrote, women start with an advantage and are basically hardwired to achieve more spiritually... that’s a pretty bold claim, lady.

So, what's the rulebook say? What actually makes that potential "greater"? I really hope we aren't going to drag religion into this, okay? 🙂

Anyway, since we're talking about real-world applications here, I'd love to hear some actual examples of those differences you mentioned.

🙂

I think the idea is that they're trying to realize their spirituality through comfort and security—using them as a destination on their path. 🙂

it seems like this topic is really getting under people's skin...

It’s honestly laughable how people try to pass off cheap jokes as actual arguments. 😁

Spirituality is an entirely individual matter, and its path is often dictated by external circumstances far more than internal ones. How on earth can you link spirituality to mere comfort and safety? Unless, of course, you meant the exact opposite...

The idea that women are "practical" is just as much a biological reality as it is common sense, given that it involves caring for another living being. One could argue the author is simply jealous of what women are capable of birthing. One could even say we all start out as girls before undergoing that certain deformation later in life... frankly, during my own early stages of spiritual maturity, that realization might have somewhat dampened my sense of 😁 what constitutes physical superiority... or is that where the real issue lies? 😁

Regardless, the author failed to actually define spirituality, and I find myself wondering why there is such a desperate need to elevate oneself at the expense of everyone else...
