Jose Ward4 said:Is there anyone else from this neighborhood (this forum, Psihokauč) who’s down for some beers and just hanging out? A couple of us usually get together every few weeks, sometimes even once a week if we're feeling it. Right now, it's just two of us. One guy is absolutely wrecked from work, and the other is completely heartbroken over some girl. It doesn't necessarily have to be beer, though that's our go-to.

Wait, is anyone on Psihokauč even allowed to touch a beer? 😁 I mean, because of all the meds...

Look, if you personally feel like you shouldn't drink—or if you find yourself wanting to sneak a sip while you're on meds—then just don't. Honestly, I don't know what else to tell you. It feels like you're almost playing dumb here. Everyone knows mixing medication and alcohol isn't exactly a winning combo, but if you feel fine doing it, then fine. But if you start losing your mind because of the pills and the booze? Then absolutely not. That's my two cents. Besides, I don't plan on being on these things forever anyway, so it doesn't really bother me. As for me, I'm perfectly fine with a beer. I don't get any hallucinations or anything weird. And I definitely don't get aggressive.

It’s a bit of a stretch to expect real friendships to just click through something this rigid and instant... but honestly, if I could grab a coffee with a decent human being, I’d jump at the chance.

Life hasn't exactly been my friend for years now, which is pretty much why I’ve retreated into my own little bubble. I’ve always taken a different path than the crowd, and finding someone who actually operates on my wavelength feels like winning the lottery... maybe I’m just wired differently, or maybe I’m just hanging out in the wrong circles. 🤷 🙂

I have zero issues accepting people for who they are, but there’s still this craving for something deeper.
And look, even though I’m dealing with my own mess, I’m not looking for an emotional crutch, nor am I going to be high-maintenance with a list of demands. 🙂 I think banter is therapeutic, and so is having real conversations about the heavy stuff. It would be awesome to meet someone who’s navigated their own dark chapters and doesn't try to pretend they didn't happen—someone who isn't superficial, but still wants to move forward or at least make life a little more bearable along the way. 🙂

I'm thinking someone empathetic but grounded; someone with their own life and interests, ideally in their mid-twenties. I’m not hunting for a relationship here, just some mutual understanding, good company, and genuine connection.

I used to browse this forum ages ago, but I was never really the type to post in specific threads or engage in endless back-and-forth messaging. Between staring at screens all day and spending way too much time in my own head, I don't have a ton of bandwidth left. 🙂

So, let's just take the shot. If we vibe as people, great—if not, no big deal. There’s nothing to lose.

I’m looking for a woman—somewhere between 25 and 45, honestly age isn't a huge deal—just to talk. I’m around 40 myself. If anyone is curious about my specific diagnosis, feel free to check out my previous posts.

Why a woman? It sounds a bit hard to put into words, but I just find it easier to open up to women than men. Just so there’s no confusion here—I am a guy.

To be clear about what I'm *not* looking for: I’m not hunting for a girlfriend, a fling, or anything like that. I’m also not looking for someone who doesn't "get" the whole psychology side of things.
We aren't going to meet up in person, grab coffee, or sit down for tea. And hey, if you want to chat, you don't even have to tell me your real name.

Here is what I *am* looking for: someone who understands the reality of dealing with mental health struggles. It doesn't matter what your own situation is—even if you don't struggle with mental health issues personally, as long as you won't judge those who do (and please, feel free to reach out even if you're doing fine!). At the end of the day, these are illnesses just like any other, they just show up differently. I'm just looking for a safe space to vent. You don't need a degree or anything.

What I bring to the table: a listening ear regarding mental health struggles. You can vent about absolutely anything—I promise I won't judge you or try to play the expert. We can talk about whatever is on your mind, and if I can offer some comfort or a different perspective, I will. I’ll always listen intently, whether it's deep stuff or just the usual daily stresses.

The hardest part for me right now is just having nobody to talk to. Every time I've tried reaching out, people immediately start acting like I'm making it all up—and since getting regular psychotherapy isn't an option for me right now, it's tough.

Just a heads up: I don't engage with trolls or provocations. If a message is rude, I’ll just delete it immediately.

Since I’m not glued to my computer 24/7, I might not reply instantly, but I do make an effort to get back to everyone (unless it's a troll).

I would really love it if someone reached out.

Copying this from the US...

Introvert, hater, misanthrope—basically everything wonderful in one package. Though, I guess I have an occasional urge to dial back the self-destruction just enough to function.
What I actually do is hunt for decent moments, spot the absurdity in everything, and usually flip the script using some heavy sarcasm.
I value my peace and my alone time above almost anything else.
I love exploring.
Curious.
Dead serious about being unserious.
Into anything non-standard or unconventional.
Can't stand people who try too hard or suck up to others.
I respect grounded people who don't feel the need to overshare.

As for the random stuff I’m into: music, movies, cats and other tiny terrors, coffee, cigarettes (purely for interest), maybe tattoos, traveling, and abandoned places.

28 years old.
Just outside Washington, D.C.

I might look tough on the outside, but I’m a total softie underneath 🙂. Actually, scratch that—I’m pretty soft all over (if you catch my drift, you’ll see why I even bothered posting this).

Anyway, looking for guys or girls, somewhere between 30 and 45. If we're actually going to meet up in person, just texting isn't really my thing—I need to be able to talk to someone. Currently hanging out in Seattle.

A girl from Miami is looking for someone to chat with, and maybe even grab a coffee with sometime. Since I'm 20, I’d love to meet someone around my age, or at most 30.
I love writing and getting deep into everything from politics to psychology. I have a BPD diagnosis, so anyone who understands the struggle would be the perfect friend.

Hey everyone!

So, I’m a 31-year-old guy living up in the Pacific Northwest. I’m really just looking for someone a bit more chill and low-key—someone who enjoys typing out messages, maybe grabbing a coffee to talk in person, or just going for a walk. If we actually vibe, I’m totally open to a real friendship.
To be honest, I don't have any official diagnosis or anything, but I am pretty socially awkward. I’d even go as far as saying I deal with some anxiety, so if you're the type of person who is constantly restless or lives life at a hundred miles an hour, you probably shouldn't bother reaching out because we almost certainly won't click.
Apple is the closest major hub to me, but I wouldn't mind someone from Portland, Seattle, or even further out. Just a heads-up though—if you’re way across the country, we’ll probably have to stick to messaging since meeting up in person would be a bit much.

Hey there!
If you're a girl looking for some chill company, someone to just vent to, mess around with, or if you're honestly just bored out of your mind, feel free to reach out.
I'm not laying down any weird rules or requirements here; I really don't care about all that stuff.
I'm just hoping we can swap some good vibes, that's pretty much it.
Whatever happens, we're keeping things friendly.
Whether you're single or already seeing someone, it makes no difference to me.
If you have a partner, you can head back to your boyfriend, girlfriend, or whatever goes after we hang out without feeling an ounce of guilt.
I'm a 26-year-old guy living in Washington, D.C., so if you're down to just hang out, hit me up in my inbox... and I can give you all the details.
Catch ya later

Hey there.

I'm looking for a female friend* roughly my age. Someone to grab coffee with occasionally, catch movies, or go exploring new spots. Ideally, someone a bit enthusiastic who might be down to help organize group trips every now and then. I also need someone who actually understands people... knows how to be empathetic.

I'm a girl, 21 years old, currently a student living in Washington, D.C. My social circle has thinned out lately, so I'm trying to find some new connections. Feel free to reach out if any of this sounds interesting to you (and if you don't mind following my general vibe 🤣). I'm happy to offer everything I mentioned I'm looking for 😁

*A guy is fine too, provided the intention is strictly friendship alone.

26, female, Washington, D.C.

Looking for a girl to hang out with—maybe grab coffee, hit some shops, or just go out on the town😁.

I’m pretty new to the area and my circle is basically non-existent right now, so... figured I'd try my luck here and see if I can meet someone cool😁.

Nothing crazy or specific, just looking for good vibes🙂

Hey there. 😁

I am looking to connect with a woman in her twenties from Washington, D.C.—nothing serious, just looking for some genuine companionship, plenty of laughs, traveling together, hitting up concerts (preferably something with an alternative edge), grabbing lunch around town, and all those other small adventures that go along with it.

For context, I am also female, in my early twenties, and frankly—to be quite blunt—I have been feeling a bit bored with my usual social circle lately. I am not entirely sure what else to include here, so I suppose this pretty much covers the essentials.

Like any reasonable person my age, I am spending this Friday with some upbeat music, a cup of coffee, and a bit of sparkling water. 😬

I am currently navigating a particularly bleak period in my life. For the last three months, I have sequestered myself in my room, barely uttering a single word per day. As Kyle Roberts4 noted, I am desperately grasping at straws, but everything continues to slip through my fingers.

I am a man in my mid-20s from the outskirts of Washington, D.C. I am looking for a woman in her 20s to start a conversation with, with the intention of seeing where things lead. To be clear, I have no interest in endless digital pen-palling; I tend to form deep attachments quickly, which is ironic given how few friends I actually keep. For reasons I cannot quite pinpoint, I have always found more common ground with women. I would ask that those without mental health struggles refrain from contacting me. It is my conviction that "normalcy" and "madness" exist in entirely different spheres with no meaningful overlap. My own diagnoses include unspecifed non-branching psychosis, Borderline Personality Disorder, and/or schizotypal disorder.

A few words regarding my background. If anyone finds themselves in a similar situation, feel free to reach out. 😁

Music remains my primary passion. It holds a position of importance that nothing else can approach. This devotion stems from a formative experience in elementary school; my music teacher passed away from cancer while I was studying in another city. I am ashamed to admit I cannot even recall where she is buried. She left an indelible mark on me. Her influence is the reason I intend to open a workshop to build instruments, why I played for a time, and why I now feel a profound calling to become a writer—specifically, a poet.

My musical tastes are quite selective; I rarely find myself truly moved by an artist. However, James Blunt is a definitive exception. It is rare that I feel genuinely blown away by someone's artistry, but his songwriting provides a visceral experience that is unmatched. While there are many talented musicians out there, he operates on an entirely different level. He is simply in a class of his own. Recently, Linkin Park’s "One More Light" left me visibly shaken. I could only manage two songs before having to stop; that was enough. As my username suggests, I also have an affinity for Blink-182. While I hold the Tom DeLonge era in high regard, I am currently gravitating toward Matt. The more I listen to California, the more impressed I become. 😁

I am not an avid reader, but I will always make time to borrow a quality collection of poetry. As a poet myself, I spend my spare time on a music forum with a dedicated section for writers, as well as a creative writing forum. I find value in reading the work of others; after all, every artist must study the competition.

My athletic achievements are negligible. My interests are limited to Formula 1, karting, billiards, and badminton. I owe my proficiency in billiards to my father, despite our strained relationship. His brother introduced me to Formula 1, which resulted in a childhood defined by Juan Pablo Montoya, Fast and Furious, and Need for Speed. To this day, I still hold a lap record from a local youth circuit for under-12s. 😬 I am, naturally, a Speed Junk.

Moving on to movies. My preferences are predictable: I favor romance and superhero films. Spider-Man is my preferred hero, while "A Walk to Remember" stands as my choice for romance. I maintain that everything serves a purpose; God does not present challenges that exceed a person's capacity to meet them. This current phase is merely a test. The lesson is simple: out of ashes, good things—often the most beautiful ones—are born.

I have a fondness for children. I am currently acting as a cousin to blueheron7, though I question my proficiency in the role. My brother possesses a greater natural aptitude for such matters, likely due to his youth. I believe one of my life's purposes is to be present in their lives and witness their development. It is a profound thing.

I have no intention of describing my character; such details are largely irrelevant here. It is far more important that individuals learn to think for themselves and form their own conclusions. Should this text pique your interest, feel free to reach out. ^^

I will conclude this post with perhaps the most painful "I do" in existence. 😢

"... If they say
Who cares if one more light goes out?
In a sky of a million stars
It flickers, flickers
Who cares when someone's time runs out?
If a moment is all we are
We're quicker, quicker
Who cares if one more light goes out?
Well I do
Well I do ..."

I am currently on the lookout for a partner from the Miami area. Ideally looking for someone in their teens, though I'm open to other age groups as well. Seeking someone interested in grabbing coffee, hitting the beach occasionally, or going on the occasional day trip. 😉

If anyone is actually reading this... at all...

By the time someone decides to respond, I’ll be 28. Half my life spent in absolute misery and suffering, and let's face it, it's only accelerating.

I am looking for something alive. Something to bring me back to life. A living soul.

Seattle, Washington, D.C., or somewhere in the middle. Or honestly, anywhere, provided you don't mind traveling or picking up a passenger. Outside the US is fine too. New Zealand works. Hell, maybe someone from a newly discovered planet. If they can manage to send a signal before then...

I need someone who has already sunk, but is currently clawing their way out—someone who can grab hold of me and pull me out of the sludge at the bottom.

Anybody... Anybody?

Hey 🙂

I’m looking for a friend—or perhaps just someone to vent to—for some casual chatting and general conversation. Ideally, I'd like to connect with someone roughly my age (I’m 19). I'm currently based in Indianapolis. My tastes lean toward music (mostly alternative, indie, and pop), movies (horror and sci-fi are my staples), and the occasional book or series within those genres, though I can't say I'm an avid reader. I happen to be gay, so I hope that isn't a dealbreaker for anyone. To be perfectly honest, I struggle with anxiety, depression, and self-esteem issues, so if anyone is interested in talking, feel free to reach out; we can certainly commiserate together. 😛

If the vibe is right, I'm open to grabbing coffee or catching a movie sometime. Cheers! 👍

Hey,

So, I'm a 27-year-old woman here, and honestly, I deal with quite a bit of loneliness, anxiety, and I'd say I'm pretty introverted and shy. It feels like the people around me—my friends, mostly—don't really get me at all. I can't seem to be my true self with anyone without feeling like I'm performing some sort of role, and I guess everything just kind of hit a breaking point lately. Now, I don't really have the energy to hang out with them much anymore. I came here because I'd just like to chat with someone, nothing too heavy. I'm definitely not ready to dive into deep, intimate topics or share every detail about my life, though if you want to talk about yourself, go ahead. I'm actually a pretty good listener, even if I find it incredibly difficult to open up about my own stuff.

I think I'd prefer sticking to lighter, more casual topics for now, at least initially. Maybe down the road, if things feel right, we could move toward deeper conversations.
Right now, I'm just exhausted by everything, and my brain isn't exactly firing on all cylinders, so I don't really have the mental bandwidth to ponder the meaning of life or anything like that. 😁

Male or female, it doesn't matter much to me. Ideally, maybe someone around my age? If there's a bit of an age gap, I'd probably prefer someone older rather than younger; I just don't seem to click with younger people, I guess..

Just looking for online chatting. I'm not interested in meeting up with anyone from the forum, at least not for a long while.

Hey everyone 🙂

I grew up in a small town in the Midwest, but I’m currently living in Washington, D.C. for my studies. I’m 29 years old.
I’ve been managing schizophrenia for the last eight years, and on top of that, I struggle with depression. I’m certainly not wealthy, but I can definitely afford to grab a coffee or catch a movie. I’d really love to meet someone to hang out with; I enjoy going out for coffee, hitting the cinema, or just taking long walks around places like Lake Havasu, but I don't really have anyone to go with. Because of my diagnosis, I run into a lot of intense prejudices from people, which makes it pretty tough to actually get an opportunity to connect with someone new. I have a few close friends and some classmates I see every day, but I’m looking to expand my circle. Even though I deal with bouts of depression quite often—which isn't exactly surprising given how lonely things can feel while dealing with this illness—I truly am a kind and fun person once you get to know me. I’d love to find someone whose company might help convince me that life isn't quite as bleak as it feels from my current perspective. That’s about it for now; I have plenty of interests, but I don't want to overwhelm anyone by listing them all right away. This post might not sound particularly glamorous, but it’s honest, and I don't want to pretend I can offer the moon and the stars when I simply can't. All I can really offer is myself, exactly as I am, and I promise to try my absolute best to be great company within my means. So... there it is.

👋

Hey, I’m reposting this. I’m living in San Diego, I've been dealing with psychosis since I was seven, and I'm currently a student looking for a friend or two. Honestly, I don't care if you have a diagnosis or not.
I'm really just looking for someone to hang out with in person—maybe grab a coffee, talk, and actually get to know each other.

In my downtime, I mostly just lose myself in books or video games.
