Washington, D.C., ..Man, 39 years old. Life just kind of happens—people drift apart, everyone picks their own path, whether that’s chasing a career across the country or just settling down to start a family.
All that stuff leaves a mark, I guess—depression, feeling isolated, just feeling totally lost in the shuffle.
I'm here because I actually want to find a decent, interesting friend—someone under 40—who’d be down for regular hangouts, grabbing food, hitting some trails, or just getting out of the city and into the woods. Looking for someone chill, but also someone who can actually talk about life and their own perspective without things getting weird or awkward. No drama, no misunderstandings, no guessing games. Also, ideally, someone who actually listens and tries to see things from my side, too. I’m not really into outbursts or anything—I’m pretty understanding, and honestly, everything can be worked out if both people are actually on the same page.
We all need smart, good people around us. If you didn't get that through family or whatever, you have to look toward strangers to build those foundations. It’s not easy, obviously, but let’s be real—none of us are hanging out on these sites just out of curiosity. We’re here because we need to find someone to build our own little world with.
