Hey there! 🙂
So, I posted an ad over on some niche dating sites, and I actually had some pretty interesting people reach out... so I figured, why not give it a shot here too?
First things first, though—I’m looking to connect with women specifically, since I’m already seeing someone.
I'm 23. I know age isn't everything, but I do have a minor medical thing I should mention; if you're curious, feel free to shoot me a DM and we can chat about it privately. 😁
I'm based in New York City
Hope everyone's having a good one!

Mainly just looking for some online company, though I'm definitely open to meeting up properly down the road if things click 🙂.
I'm 23, currently in a relationship, and honestly, there's no point in me listing out all my diagnoses because it’s way too much to get into 😬.
I'd really prefer to hear from girls first—just feeling like I need some girl talk in my life right now 😢.

I realize this is basically an online support group vibe, but hey, anyone else can reach out too, even if you don't deal with mental health stuff. I'm down to chat about pretty much anything, not just meds or heavy topics 😬

I’m just looking for someone who can look me straight in the eye and actually tell when I’m having a rough day. 😉

I’ve been spending some time online looking for women from the West Coast to connect with... perhaps starting with some digital conversation and seeing if it evolves into grabbing a coffee or something more tangible if the chemistry actually exists... if anyone out there is feeling particularly lonely or just fundamentally misunderstood by the world, feel free to reach out 🙂

Quincey:
Ad:

Seeking people for casual remote communication.

Preferred channels: forums, email.

Location: Washington, D.C. - downtown

Preferred age range: 25+.

Gender: doesn't matter.

Meeting up: only considered after extended communication. Any sudden requests to meet will be rejected.

I reserve the right to cut off contact without any prior explanation.

End of ad.
Paul White80 said:Posting this for the third time.

Additions:

- Please don't reach out if you know nothing about depression or if you have prejudices. The last thing I need is judgment, preaching, or being guilt-tripped.

- Also, stay away if you can't handle my extreme disappointment, aversion, or distrust toward people—which is basically the nature of most of my posts here. (By the way, I'm sick of this forum, but I have no other way to vent about my surroundings).

- My PM replies will be blunt and concise (1 to 3 sentences) because I simply don't have the mental energy for walls of text. I value brevity. If that style doesn't work for you, please just skip me.

- As for why I might "cut off contact without explanation," it'll be due to harassment, attacks, intrusiveness, fighting, etc.

That's everything.

Let me bump this one more time, even though it'll probably end up being a total waste of time again.

Update #2:

Gender is no longer irrelevant; I won't be responding to men unless they are gay.

I’m looking for someone to chat with or perhaps grab a coffee with every now and then. I recently found myself unexpectedly unemployed, so suddenly I have far more free time than I know what to do with. 🙂 I'm interested in meeting people in their 30s or 40s—doesn't matter if you're male or female. My only real criteria is that you're an honest person who is actually out there trying to make something of themselves in life.

Hey everyone.

So, we’re a gay couple—just two guys living out here in Santa Barbara—and honestly, it’s been feeling a little lonely lately. Most of our old friends have moved away to pursue their own things, plus I only actually moved to Santa Barbara a few months back... so we’re really just looking for some good company to talk to and hang out with (maybe hit up a bowling alley, play some pool, that kind of stuff).

We’re really just hoping to meet some down-to-earth people without any judgment—we'll just let things happen naturally. If you're in the Santa Barbara area or somewhere nearby, please reach out.

Best to you all 🙂

Hey... I’m looking for a new crew or maybe just some fresh faces to upgrade my old group. Honestly, doesn't matter if you're a guy or a girl. My old squad basically fell apart—some guys got hitched, others are just lazy as hell, and most of them don't even have jobs, so they don't get that we're actual working people who can only really hit the road on Friday nights or Saturdays. It's always the same cycle every single week. Just so we're clear, I'm not looking for a girlfriend here. My lady isn't really into the whole "adventure" thing... she's more about driving from point A to point B, as long as you guys get that. I've got my own car, I just need a solid group to blast out toward somewhere like Chicago so we can actually see what's out there.
Ps. We can even go further. My girlfriend and I actually set a date to head out to Zeljava, but based on her level of enthusiasm, that's never gonna happen. And that's the problem—week after week, I'm just rotting at home out of pure boredom.😢

Hey everyone. I’m looking to meet some people around my age—I'm 24—for pretty much whatever, whether it's just grabbing coffee, going for walks, or hitting the town whenever the mood strikes 🙂. Honestly, introverts and extroverts are both totally fine by me. Mental health struggles? No judgment here either—as long as you're actually willing to be real and skip the superficial nonsense, we'll get along just fine.
If I had to describe myself, I'd say I'm someone who loves just sitting back, listening to people, and overthinking things—but I can also be super goofy and wild, or even a little bit salty when the situation calls for it 😁. Basically, I have zero interest in those performative relationships where everyone is just acting a part. You don't need to be perfect, but please, just be authentic and have a level of empathy that's actually higher than the usual baseline.

p.s. Don't take my posts too seriously, they aren't always a perfect reflection of who I am 😁 Oh, and I'm based in NYC.

Looking for people who are withdrawn, guarded, disillusioned, or just emotionally repressed for some PM chats 😁 Daaaa, I’d love to meet someone :P

I have a knack for forming genuine, high-quality, long-term friendships with individuals who struggle with self-repressive psychological diagnoses—whether they've been formally diagnosed or simply feel like they fit the description 🙂 To me, they are perfectly normal. My one non-negotiable rule is that they cannot be aggressive toward others; I once nearly lost my mind during a confrontation involving a group of people, a whole neighborhood, and an entire city, and I have no desire to repeat that chaos :P

I’m in my 30s, though mentally I’m still very much in my 20s. Since I don't have the heavy responsibilities of a wife or children, it’s unrealistic to expect me to be living in that "adult" headspace yet.

Just a heads-up: if you are someone who can actually tolerate spending time with me online despite my concrete layers of social armor, you might find yourselves being pressured to hang out in person, so beware of your cruel intentions, meow 😉

ps: I’m not gay. Not even remotely
ps2: I can get incredibly busy and might be inconsistent with replies, but I am always here somewhere
ps3: None.

Thank you, and I hope you enjoy your conversations 😁

Is there anyone currently residing in or near the Des Moines area, specifically women between the ages of 23 and 29,
I am looking for some genuine company—someone to talk to, hang out, and just relax with. There is absolutely no need to hide your mental health struggles or what you're going through; please feel free to send me a DM if you'd like to connect.

Well, here I am. Early thirties, no kids, and zero major responsibilities weighing me down, just looking for some genuine connections. 🙂 I’m particularly interested in finding some female friends, since that seems to be the harder demographic to connect with in real life—though I'm open to meeting guys too (just a heads-up, I am in a relationship, so let's not make that the primary focus, okay?). Ultimately, I’m just looking to meet kind-hearted people who actually have the time and inclination to chat. We can keep it strictly virtual, or if we hit it off, maybe grab a coffee somewhere 🙂

I’m putting myself out there for anyone looking for new friends—doesn't matter if you're male or female. 🙂
Since I'm in my twenties, I think we'd probably hit it off best; we're in the same stage of life. We can start with some decent conversation and maybe grab a coffee or something sometime. I'm open to any topic, love a good discussion, and I'm a solid listener if someone just needs a sounding board. 🙂

Shoot me a DM!

If anyone else out there is walking this same path, reach out... I could really use some company to help pull me through this...

I am looking for a therapist or psychoanalyst
with whom I could potentially grab a coffee and chat
perhaps over a cup of coffee or tea...

I suppose any meaningful connection is essentially impossible without honesty and a few fundamental pillars:

1. Mutual respect
2. Trust
3. Open communication

Everyone is more than welcome to reach out... provided there is an absence of prejudice or judgment... though, if I am being honest, my primary aim is simply to find good people—genuine friends. I am prepared to offer all of the above, but I suspect any relationship lacking reciprocity won't last very long anyway.

For various practical reasons, I imagine someone in their 30s would be the most ideal match, but as I said, anything is possible... whether it's just exchanging messages or meeting up, depending on what we both decide.

Best of luck to everyone!

P.S. I must say, I was somewhat pleasantly surprised by this thread... I hope the members here have some positive experiences. Cheers.👍

I'm feeling a little lost in thought and pretty down today. Usually, when I'm in this headspace, I just need someone to talk to. So, if anyone's around and wants to chat, hit me up.

I need someone to...

tap-tap-tap...
tap-tap-tap-tap-tap...
click-clack-snap-pop...
thud-tap-tap-tap-tap-tap..

...just tap away! 😁

My chat on the psychoanalyst's couch has become incredibly dull, and honestly, I could use some rhythmic tapping. 😬

I’ve managed to find a few pen pals myself. One of the first people to reach out was zoki89, who actually shared some helpful advice 👍. Since then, I've connected with a handful of others, though we haven't exactly maintained long-term contact. That said, I would really love to have someone to talk to—just to share a few thoughts when things get rough or even when life is going well. I find that guys are generally more interesting to talk to, I guess; I've never really been one to hang out with girls, but honestly, gender isn't the most important thing to me. I'm pretty well known on this forum for my insomnia and, lately, my struggles with depression, so maybe I can offer some perspective on medication as well... Age isn't a huge deal, though I suppose young people tend to understand each other a bit better. Anyway, I'm 23 years old...
