Well, here I go again, trying a trial-and-error approach with ein brandneues method, since everything else has been a total bust so far. 🕺
I'm looking for friends, age 25+, living in Chicago. Women, if possible. I strictly want one-on-one hangouts because groups (like those Psychic sessions and stuff) just aren't my thing; I end up shutting down, freezing up, getting confused, terrified, or just miserable—counting sheep and praying for an exit strategy.
I’m really not interested in guys. Unless they play electric guitar (blues/rock), because that would be the only way we'd actually have something in common or even understand each other—music is my profession, after all.
Maybe some aspiring writers would fit too; I relate to that world. Hess is my absolute idol and greatest love; it feels like he wrote specifically for me.
Aside from what I mentioned, I don't have any other interests. Nothing in the outside world catches my eye—no sports, no gyms, no classes, nothing. But I do love animals and I have a dog.
Don't bother with hookups or dating right off the bat. I look a mess, I have zero self-confidence, and I'm definitely not exactly "partner material" for anyone.
As for my psychiatric history, it's a mixed bag, ranging from clinical depression to social phobia. I'm not exactly "normal" or predictable by the system's standards, but I'm not a danger to anyone else—only to myself. Honestly, my biggest issues are sudden mood swings and bursts of pessimism and sarcasm that sometimes spiral into mania.
There. This is probably my hardest attempt yet at writing a coherent, decent ad that covers the basics. I don't even know how it sounds because I didn't write it during a manic episode; I actually followed someone else's instructions and advice from books. So, maybe someone will actually reach out this time? Or maybe everyone will just run away even faster? Who knows.
