Stumbled onto this thread by accident... interesting stuff. Hope it turns out to be useful.
So, here's the deal: guy from California looking for a friend. Ideally someone local to Cali or maybe Seattle. Looking for a gay guy (since that’s me) or just someone gay-friendly and open-minded.
I'm middle-aged—honestly, lost track of how the years piled up—but I definitely vibe better with the younger crowd than the older generation.
My views are pretty broad and liberal. I don't think the conservatives, the rigid Catholics, or anyone against IC would really mesh with my way of thinking.
Got plenty of hobbies, but we can get into the weeds once we actually start talking.
I enjoy traveling, reading, getting outdoors, hitting the coast...
If anyone's down for a casual coffee, hit me up.
Been dealing with depression for about ten years now, but I've got a handle on things lately and I'm doing alright.

Looking for some new friends to hang out with! I'm open to meeting guys too, as long as we're actually looking for friendship. I'm not hunting for a hookup like everyone else seems to be on here. Just looking for someone to chat with, grab a coffee, and see where things go. I'm 26 and travel all over the US quite a bit, so maybe someone lives somewhere near me? I'm big into books, movies, and I'm definitely one of those people loving cats. I can talk about pretty much anything. If there's a girl or a guy out there looking to kill some time, hit me up. Since I'm stuck out in a tiny rural town right now, I'm honestly starting to go a little stir-crazy.

I am looking for a female friend, aged 20 to 30, based here in Washington, D.C. I am interested in companionship, going out, a casual FWB arrangement, or perhaps even occasional road trips or travel if we hit it off. The goal is simply to break up the monotony and experience something new together.😉

I don't have a rigid checklist. I just hope you possess a positive outlook. That said, it is perfectly fine if you need to vent about failing an exam or if you're feeling down because you can't find those specific shoes you've been eyeing. 🤣 I am open to various dynamics, so there is no pressure or dilemma there.

Lately, I have found great peace in spending time outdoors. I hope you might share that interest, though it isn't a dealbreaker.
I am 25 years old, also living in Washington, D.C., and currently a student. In my spare time, I enjoy reading and exploring. There are moments when loneliness settles in, but I know nothing lasts forever, including those moods. ☕ I tend to be somewhat introverted, but nothing too intense.
So, let's start with some messaging. Perhaps we could meet for a casual coffee, and we can see where things go from there—no pressure at all. 😁
Stay safe and healthy. 🎉

Maybe there’s someone here with enough patience to listen to my nonsense, my problems, my constant venting... okay, not all the time; you can talk about yourself too... just don't be overly depressed, please. That’s the last thing I need right now—someone who’s just going to drag me even deeper into the negativity and the blues.

I'm a woman, 28 years old. You should be somewhere around the same age, I guess; let's not be too far apart.

I am 27 years old. I have spent almost my entire life feeling quite alone. My contact with other people has been minimal—I’m practically isolated, I suppose. Communicating doesn't come easily to me. Lately, the loneliness has been weighing on me quite heavily. I don't know if this will actually help, but I figured I might as well try. I have no intention of just sitting here complaining or venting indefinitely... I am simply looking for someone for some casual conversation (just messaging, really).

Old, young, male, female... I don't particularly care. I guess I just need someone who has a bit of patience.

I’m 29 years old, and I suppose I find myself somewhat alone while searching for a soulmate. I figure we could start by just messaging each other, and then, who knows, we can see where things might lead. I am looking for a serious woman—someone who actually knows what she wants out of life and keeps her feet firmly planted on the ground. I guess players and people just looking for a fleeting adventure can skip this one.

I spend my time writing and composing music. If there's anyone out there interested, maybe reach out so we can chat a bit and help me break up this monotony.

Hello. I am a 27-year-old woman, somewhat introverted, and I tend to struggle with depression and anxiety. I have a deep appreciation for nature, loving cats, and cinema. As for music, my tastes are quite eclectic, though I generally gravitate toward darker genres—think darkwave, goth, post-punk, synthpop, shoegaze, or neofolk. I would like to meet someone with similar sensibilities, male or female, ideally around my age and living in the Washington, D.C. area. I'm looking for company for walks, spending time outdoors, or attending concerts. I am not seeking a relationship.

Anyone looking to chat? I’d much rather type than talk on the phone. Texting is just better.

I'm open to talking about pretty much anything, provided you have the patience to deal with me for a little while longer.

Philosophy, psychology, movies... honestly, I can dive into just about any topic.

To be honest, I’m not out here looking for anyone. I have a girlfriend...

I was just hoping to find a friend or something—just a normal connection, nothing weird or perverted...

I'll be fine on my own. Take care.

What is there to say? How do I even start?

I'm a 29-year-old guy looking for someone to just chat with—nothing heavy, just a way to kill some time. Maybe we can swap stories about our daily highs and lows, or dive into a little light philosophy here and there? Honestly, doesn't matter if you're a guy or a girl—if you're up for a bit of conversation, reach out.

Hey there! 😁

So, I figured I’d give this a shot and see if I can find some friends, someone to chat with, or maybe even something more meaningful.

To give you the highlights, I’m a 23-year-old woman hailing from the sunny coast of California. 🙂

I have absolutely zero patience for anything fake, dishonest, boring, or stagnant.

Truth be told, as a perfectly flawed specimen of a human being living with what basically amounts to bipolar disorder, I spend most of my time being an extroverted, high-energy, adrenaline-fueled whirlwind.

I’ve actually written a book, and when I’m not doing that, I’m tackling sudokus, crosswords, and various mind games; I work in graphic design, master latte art, sketch out designs for my future home, map out upcoming trips, and study languages—I’m already conversational in three, haha. I love cooking, hitting the party scene on Saturdays or whenever the crew gets together, getting lost in nature, driving solo just to wander, or even drifting. I also have a habit of analyzing the human brain and behavior to pass the time—though I certainly don't analyze my own 😛—and occasionally I get into weightlifting or dive into history, psychology, geography, geology, and different cultures.

I should probably mention, though it might not matter to everyone, that I have a deep appreciation for anything that represents pure human kindness and all things old school, whether it’s classic movies, music, vintage cars, or retro hairstyles. Anyway... 😍

Now, here’s the thing... I’m looking for someone to hang out with or someone to message during my off moments. You know, those times when I couldn't care less about hobbies, when I don't feel like going outside to listen to the birds chirping, and when I’m feeling sad—or rather, just neutral, because nothing feels particularly joyful in those moments—those times when I honestly have no idea where I fit in or what I'm even doing with my life.

If you can stick by me through those stretches and become a true friend, you’ll have a friend for life, provided you don't end up screwing me over. 😉

If you’re just looking for a hookup, or maybe a couple of coffees followed by a hookup, feel free to skip this post and pretend you never saw it.

Thanks for reading, and honestly, only the brave ones should reach out! 👍

Talk soon... 🎉🙂

Hi everyone! I’m looking to connect with a woman for some genuine companionship—ideally someone who shares my values and leads a relatively low-key, stable life. I tend to be quite introverted myself, so I’m really looking for someone who isn't constantly chasing the nightlife scene; instead, I’d love to find someone who enjoys the simple things, like grabbing a coffee or going for a nice walk. To give you a little background, I’m 33 years old and am hoping to meet someone roughly in my own age group. On a more personal note, I live with paranoid schizophrenia, but I want to be clear that I am currently in a very stable period of remission. If any of this resonates with you, please feel free to reach out via private message! 🙂
Also, please don't let finances be a barrier—it doesn't matter if you can't swing a coffee date right now.

So, here’s the deal: I’m looking for a new friend—guy or girl—to explore some museums with, check out art galleries, or catch a concert at Madison Square Garden or the Chase Center. I’m also big on cycling, getting outdoors, or just heading out on a quick weekend road trip every now and then.

Basically, I’m after some quality companionship that goes a bit deeper than just sitting around grabbing coffee all day.

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for a girl who’s actually easy to talk to (somewhere between 22 and 32) for some chill hangouts—grabbing beers, hitting up the movies, catching a play, or maybe even heading out on a trip together once in a while.🙂
I'm 25, pretty laid back, and I can hold a conversation. I value honesty, I've got my education sorted, and my politics are pretty liberal. I'm based around the Washington, D.C. area, so ideally, you'd be from the DMV or somewhere nearby.
Life happens, and thanks to dealing with some occasional anxiety, my circle of female friends is pretty small right now.
When I'm not working, I'm usually watching movies, traveling, or hanging out with animals. I also enjoy dressing up a bit. And yeah, I have my moments of wit—mostly leaning heavily into dark humor.
I smoke occasionally, but I don't do drugs. I definitely enjoy a drink on the weekends, though. Music-wise, I'm mostly into indie rock.
Even though I look decent enough, I struggle with low self-esteem, but honestly, I've gotten pretty good at masking it.
Like I said, I'm really looking for someone communicative. I don't want to be the one carrying the entire conversation, and please, no total bores or people stuck in their ways.

Thats it 🙂

Hey there! 🙂
I'm putting this post together because I’d love to meet some new people—potential long-term friends or just cool folks to hang out with. To kick things off, we can start with some casual texting, and if we hit it off, move into those deeper, more meaningful conversations. I'm really looking forward to swapping perspectives, sharing ideas, and geeking out over stories, movies, series, and music.

A little bit about me, visually and otherwise:
I'm 34 years old, with greyish-green eyes and a short, military-style haircut (about 90% of it) in a chestnut shade... though I do have a little twist: about 10% of my hair consists of three long, silver/ash-colored dreadlocks that flow from the nape of my neck down to my shoulders. I'm employed and living on the west side of Washington, D.C. My work schedule is pretty intense, so I'm either at the office or on the clock about 75% of the time from Monday to Friday. During the other 25%, plus my weekends, you'll usually find me listening to music, getting lost in a book, or catching up on series, movies, or documentaries. I also spend time writing fiction in a foreign language. When it comes to my playlist, I lean toward indie, alternative, psych pop, experimental pop, math rock, death metal, industrial, and post-rock. Outside of that, I have two big passions: cycling and camping.

That’s the gist of it... thanks so much for reading, and I can't wait to start chatting! 🙂

Any guys out in Washington, D.C....
looking for someone to go on long bike rides with, or maybe just hang out around NYC... grab some hoops, play some ping pong, grab a beer and catch a game, hit up a movie or a stand-up show, or a game if there’s actually anything worth watching... we can talk about women, basketball, tennis, sports in general, work, politics, and whatever else is going on in the world...
I've got zero interest in PC gaming, sci-fi movies, cars, or the tech industry...
I'm straight and I've been in a long-term relationship for a while now...
If anyone sounds like they might be into this stuff, feel free to reach out, I'm a pretty normal guy, I just don't really have a circle that shares my specific interests...
I'm hovering right around thirty...
thanks!

Hey there! 😁
I’m looking for someone to chat with—ideally if you have Facebook, WhatsApp, or email—and maybe even build a friendship if we actually hit it off. I don't really care if you're male or female, as long as you're living in NYC or the surrounding area, under 25, and more of a talker. Also, please don't be one of those people who lives for clubs and bars, because I have absolutely zero intention of spending my time there... and please, spare me the lectures on your specific worldview; I feel like I've heard enough of that lately 🙄
A little about me: I'm 20, currently a student, and honestly, I'm not much for the usual small talk. I crave deep topics and actual, meaningful conversation. I'm really into psychology and spend a lot of my time buried in books on the subject; I'm always hungry to learn something new, since knowledge is everything 😁... I'm pretty open-minded, too, and I can tolerate different perspectives, even if we don't agree on every single thing. I'm definitely an introvert—on the surface, I might seem totally ordinary, but you'll eventually realize I'm anything but
If any of this caught your eye and you're down for things like hiking, hitting up museums, some shopping, long walks, or even a movie every now and then, don't be shy about reaching out... I don't bite 😉

35-year-old guy from Miami - living with a diagnosis, looking for a girl from Miami also living with a diagnosis, just for friendship😁

I just need someone... a real person to actually talk to
Someone who might actually care enough to love
Could it be you?
Could it be you? 🕺

Things get heavy sometimes, and I start to spiral into a panic
It’s never enough, it’s just becoming a cycle
And, kid, you're struggling
Honey, this is it 🙂

Looking for some folks in the Washington, D.C. area—ideally between 25 and 35—who are down to grab coffee, hang out, or hit the town. Most importantly? Just looking for people who aren't total egoists.
