I’m looking to connect with a woman somewhere in her 30s or 40s just to chat. I’m right around 40 myself. If you're curious about my specific diagnosis or what I've been dealing with, feel free to look through my previous posts.
Why a woman? Honestly—it’s just easier for me to talk to women than men. I can't quite put my finger on why, but it's just how I am. Just to clear up any potential confusion—I am a man.
Just to be clear about what I'm *not* looking for: I’m not hunting for a girlfriend, a fling, or anything like that. And I’m also not looking for someone who doesn't "get" psychology or mental health struggles.
We aren't going to meet up in person, grab a coffee, or sit down for tea. And hey, if you want to stay anonymous, you don't even have to tell me your real name.
Here’s what I *am* looking for: someone who understands the headspace we find ourselves in—you know, the reality of mental health issues. It doesn't matter what your own history is; you don't even need to have struggles yourself, as long as you aren't judgmental toward those who do. (And please, feel free to reach out even if you're doing okay!) Mental illness is just like any other medical condition—it just shows up differently. I really just need a safe space to vent.
What I bring to the table: a listening ear regarding mental health. You can vent to me about absolutely anything—I promise I won't judge you or try to play "expert" on your life. I'm happy to talk about whatever is on your mind, and if I can offer some comfort or perspective, I will. I'll always listen closely, and you're more than welcome to offload about the little daily stresses too.
The toughest part for me is feeling like I have nobody to actually talk to. Every time I've tried opening up, people immediately start lecturing me, acting like it's all made up—and since getting regular therapy isn't an option for me right now, it's pretty isolating.
I would truly love it if someone reached out.

Hi everyone!
Because my current work situation keeps me pretty isolated from the outside world and the people I care about most, I decided to come here to find some pen pals. I'm living abroad right now, and I don't get much chance to connect with people my age who share my perspective on things, so I'd love some company to help 🙂
To give you a little background, I'm a 25-year-old woman who finds a lot of peace in nature and solitude. I'm a huge fan of animals, books, philosophy, and pop science. When I have free time, you can usually find me reading, cooking, playing guitar, or painting. I consider myself an idealist and a pacifist, though I definitely have a playful, childlike side to me. Even though I often think of myself as an introvert, I tend to prove myself wrong on the weekends when I have a few cocktails and end up dancing like nobody's watching 😁 😵 As for music, I'm open to just about anything—even some cheesy pop songs when I'm joking around with friends—but when I'm alone in my room, I'm definitely blasting some heavy rock 🙂
If any of this resonates with you, please feel free to reach out; age and gender don't matter to me 🙂 However, I would kindly ask that only people with similar interests get in touch. In my experience, these kinds of connections usually fizzle out very quickly if we don't have common ground to talk about.
Looking forward to chatting! 🙂

Hey everyone...!
Decided it was finally time to jump in... I haven’t been around much lately, so I realize there isn't much here to go on regarding who I actually am...🤔
But here goes nothing...
I'm a 28-year-old woman, currently wrapping up my studies, and music is basically my lifeblood... mostly rock and pop (Nirvana, Muse, Coldplay, The Beatles....), though I have a soft spot for Beyoncé and house music too... but lately, I've been leaning heavily toward the first group. When I'm not listening to tunes, you can find me hanging out with animals, catching a movie, getting lost in a book, cooking, cycling, or just staying active...😁
I'm looking to connect with someone, preferably a woman (I have a longtime boyfriend), just to chat—and maybe eventually grab a coffee if we realize we actually have things in common....
Anyway... let's see where this goes!

Over the years, my circle has scattered across the country 🙂, leaving me without anyone to really talk to. I miss having someone to bounce ideas off of—someone to debate different topics with, offer a second perspective on life, or just vent about current events. To give you a quick rundown: I’m a 37-year-old guy. I do photography for fun, read, and walk my dog. That’s pretty much it.
If anyone feels like chatting, feel free to reach out. It would be nice.
Best,

Hey there
Also, if anyone's down to just hang out, maybe grab some coffee, or go for a walk with my dogs to help me clear my head, hit me up 🙂

Looking for someone to hang out and talk with.
Men only.
Clearly, I'm not great with women.
Chicago New York area.
Looking for someone who actually wants to meet up in person.
First chance I've had since August 8th... here in the city.
Someone without any judgment.
I don't care if you can handle the fact that I'm a bit broken and far from perfect.
I just really need some kindness right now.

Hey there—I'm looking for a girl in San Francisco to hang out with. I'm 23. I actually have a boyfriend, but I’m just really missing that female friendship lately—either my friends live too far away or we've just grown apart and don't really vibe anymore. I don't get out as much as I used to, so meeting people is tough—plus, whenever I'm at a class or something, I tend to shut down because I'm pretty shy. I'd love to connect with someone who's into indie, alt rock, grunge, or electronic music (especially trip hop)—basically, a fellow bookworm and movie lover. Maybe we could catch a film, head out into nature, hit up some art galleries, or just have low-key hangouts at home. Ideally, someone a bit of a dreamer—someone who can talk about deep, meaningful stuff for hours 🙂

Looking for someone to hang out with... grab a drink, hit up a movie, go for walks, or maybe catch some live events.
I’m not really a big party person. I used to force myself to go out, trying so hard to act like I was having a blast, but honestly? As I get older, I just don't have the energy to fake it anymore. So, if you feel the same way, reach out.😛
Early thirties here. I can't stand judgment or people who aren't straight with me. Just give me honesty and someone who's actually themselves for once.😉
Ideally looking for folks anywhere from 25 to 45, maybe even up to 50.

I’m a woman in my mid-twenties, currently navigating a bit of a depression. I feel like I can't see a way out of my current situation right now. If anyone is willing to listen without judgment—someone who has the patience to hear me out—I am more than happy to offer the same in return.

I’m 30—just looking to connect and swap stories with people dealing with the same issues I am. I suppose I’d prefer talking to women more often, mostly because they tend to intimidate me a bit more 😵. It’s just... I don't really have anyone to talk to about this 🙂

I am 25 years old—currently unemployed—and, quite frankly, I’m feeling rather bored :P I suppose I would love to find someone to chat with!

Hey there, I'm just getting settled in here!
I've always been the type who genuinely loves helping people out, so if you ever find yourself needing someone to just listen, or maybe you want to dive into some deep, philosophical rabbit holes without any specific goal in mind, please don't hesitate to reach out. 🙂

Why doesn't everyone just attend a meetup so we can actually socialize? I’m admittedly a bit of a recluse, but there are far too many fascinating individuals here for me to remain ignorant of their presence. 🙂
