Hey there,

I’m 30 years old and living over in Brooklyn.
I'm really looking to find a new friend—someone I can actually talk to about anything, whether it's grabbing a coffee, hitting up a bar, or just hanging out...

Look, I've got the wife, the job, and the dog... but I'm definitely lacking in the friend department...

I’m 50, a woman, and feeling pretty lonely and disillusioned with life right now. I’m looking for male and female friends living in Seattle.
Most of my years were poured into my family, and now I find myself standing out in the cold.
It seems like most people hanging around here are much younger than I am.
Perhaps there is someone out there with some actual life experience—someone cultured and grounded—with whom I could truly connect. Maybe you’re also feeling isolated or a bit defeated by the battles life has thrown your way. Right now, I’m running low on steam; I just need some human connection, a little laughter, and some mutual understanding. That is exactly what I have to offer in return.
I’m educated, I work, and I have a teenager at home.
I put in so much effort, but it feels like it all just vanished into thin air. I’ve lost my faith in the existence of honest, decent people.
Is it even possible to build a meaningful connection this way?
My faith has been my anchor for a long time, and it still holds, but I’m starting to buckle under the weight of life and this solitude. If only there were a local community group in Seattle for people like me, somewhere we could gather and socialize.
I’ve been pushing through everything on my own my whole life, and I’ve finally hit my limit.
I know psychotherapy is an option, but I much prefer a one-on-one connection with someone who isn't a professional—though, I suppose, someone in the psychology field wouldn't be the worst thing.
We all end up becoming amateur psychologists at some point, "graduating" through the ups and downs of the decades.
If anyone is interested, please reach out.
I can't burden my child with my struggles, and my extended family isn't nearby, nor are we particularly close.
Is there anyone in Seattle out there with honest and sincere intentions?
It feels quite sad to have to seek friendship this way. And honestly, I'm not holding my breath for a response, given how many younger people populate this forum.
I’m not your typical person; I hold to traditional values that seem to be disappearing at an alarming rate.
So, that’s my opening.
Wishing you all the very best.🙄

I am currently on the lookout for a female companion. I shall be offering absolutely nothing of substance in return—yet, I expect you to provide as much as humanly possible.

I’m feeling particularly isolated tonight, and I honestly just want to pass the time by chatting with some of you... it doesn't really matter what we talk about, I just need to feel a bit of human connection to ease this heavy weight sitting in my chest... also, if anyone has any band recommendations, please send them my way; I love discovering new music, it’s always been my go-to way to lift my spirits.

I struggle with social anxiety and deal with bouts of depression quite often, so if there’s anyone else out there navigating similar waters, please feel free to reach out—I’m always open to talking things through. 🙂

I'm looking for the exact same thing as the quoted user...

Hello. I have recently navigated some incredibly difficult chapters—health struggles, a divorce... It’s left me feeling quite isolated. I've slipped into a deep depression where nothing seems to bring any joy. I feel alone, though I am holding onto the hope that this phase will eventually pass. If anyone is willing to chat, please reach out.

I’m looking for a female friend—I’m 21, and finding someone actually "normal" feels like an impossible task these days, doesn't it? :P I live for a good laugh and some decent banter; if I don't manage to find something to smile about during the day, I feel like the whole thing was a waste. Looking to start with some chatting, and who knows—maybe eventually meet up with someone in the San Francisco area if the vibe is right.

I'm 20, and I'm looking for a female friend—someone sincere, intelligent, and genuinely open-minded who can handle my intense introversion 😬. Look, I actually love grabbing coffee and talking for hours about just about anything, but finding friends in person is a massive struggle because I’m incredibly introverted and find it difficult to open up. It’s honestly pretty disheartening, and I feel quite lonely because of it. Music-wise, I'm into alternative rock, metal, metalcore, K-pop, J-rock, and basically anything that isn't mainstream pop or whatever trash is playing on the radio. My interests include alternative fashion, animals, art, movies, anime, manga, books, and so on. I also deal with anxiety, so it would be great if you were someone who could be understanding about that. Feel free to reach out if you want to chat online first; maybe we can grab a coffee once we see if we actually click 🎉. I was born and raised in Chicago, where I live and go to school, so it would be best if you were based here too 🙂

Greetings,

I’m speaking for myself and my better half here 🙂 We’re looking for friends—people who are laid-back, upbeat, and enjoy everything from cycling and hiking to just being active. It doesn't matter if you're an athlete or a total amateur... we just want good company. We’re 24, living in California, and both recent college grads. Our old social circles pretty much dissolved once life got busy and everyone headed off in their own directions. If anyone relates, whether you're an individual or a couple, feel free to shoot us a DM... you'll be meeting two fun people who don't mind wasting time over board games or grabbing some late-night tacos at 11 PM 🙂

Well, here I am. :D
I'm in my mid-twenties, currently a student, just working my way through life—watching, listening, walking. I have this constant hunger for knowledge and for meeting decent people. I’m big into astronomy and astrophysics, but I also love a good movie, wandering through museums, and getting into deep discussions—whether they're totally ridiculous or incredibly profound. I just want to stay plugged into the world and everything it has to offer.
It would be really cool to chat online with someone who shares these interests. Age and gender don't matter much to me; I just want to connect with a genuine, normal person. :D

So, I’m looking for someone who actually digs nature, loud music, and just sitting on a porch talking at sunrise. I'll be honest—I'm a bit complicated. Life hasn't exactly been kind to me, and I feel like I'm at a major turning point right now. I'm holding out hope that things are finally going to look up.
Early twentieth century vibes, currently living in California 😁. In larger groups, I tend to talk too much, but in smaller circles, I mostly just stay quiet. I've got a soft spot for biology and anything science-related. I'm an empathetic person by nature. I enjoy hitting up museums, catching movies, and just getting out there. I love camping in the woods. I can't stand pessimists—their outlook honestly drains the life out of me—and I don't deal well with snobs. I’m pretty low-maintenance and don't care much for material stuff.

I'm pretty skeptical about meeting people online, but if you seem interesting and grounded, I'm open to it.

Most people here are pretty much a lost cause, but whatever. Just list what you can actually bring to the table when talking to someone...

I’m 30 years old, living in a small town somewhere just outside of NYC. To be totally honest, I’ve got some issues and a few complexes I’m working through—it’s mostly related to dating, though if I look past that, I’m a pretty chill guy overall. 🤣

I’m a huge fan of hiking and mountain biking; honestly, anything involving the great outdoors is right up my alley. Since I’m currently between jobs, I’m itching to get back out there and travel more. Music-wise, I don't listen to much these days, but I still have a soft spot for heavy metal. I know a lot of people can't stand it, and clubs are always packed with people listening to it—who knows what makes them tick? I also recently picked up comic books again (reading Zagor), and man, it’s still such a blast! I was worried I might outgrow it, but luckily, the magic is still there. I love diving into sci-fi movies and series, though I’ll admit I can't stand musicals—they just aren't my thing. I used to be really into politics, but I eventually walked away from it. Why bother? You just end up arguing with people over nonsense you can't even change. As for food, I’m pretty much down for anything 😁, but you can never go wrong with a solid slice of pizza, some fresh sushi, or a good burger. 😁

Physicality-wise, people tell me I don't look bad and that I actually look younger than I am. But hey, looks are subjective, right? Someone might think I'm a catch, someone else thinks I'm average, and someone else might not like what they see. I’d say I have plenty of friends and acquaintances, but if anyone is looking for some cool online conversation, hit me up!

I am opening up my lines of communication every single night this week... essentially, starting tonight and running for the next seven days, please feel free to reach out if you find yourself bored or simply in need of some conversation. I suppose I can offer everything from distraction and entertainment to a shoulder to cry on or a firm handshake, depending entirely on what you might be looking for 😬

But let’s be clear: humanity and mutual respect remain my primary concerns. If anyone feels the need for a bit of dialogue , you are more than welcome to contact me 👍

This little arrangement is valid from December 20th through the 27th, 2015... or perhaps sooner, should my patience run dry 😵

I’m currently based in Washington, D.C., and I was wondering if anyone here might be interested in grabbing a coffee or going for a walk... maybe dive into some deep conversations about alternative spirituality and stuff like that...
Shoot me a DM if you want to link up... ideally looking for people with open minds who aren't weighed down by a bunch of preconceived notions...
My schedule is pretty much wide open most of the time, so we can meet up whenever works best for you.

(I'd personally love to connect with folks under 30, though honestly, I'm open to anyone at this point)

Looking for a girl to hang out with here in Washington, D.C. Maybe grab a walk, ride some bikes, or hit up a museum exhibit if the vibe is right.
