Now that people have seen what these clowns are truly capable of, they're going to start flocking to General Motors.

not everyone 😉

those massive conglomerates aren't gonna have it nearly as easy as they thought they would.😁

It’ll be even better when one of those massive global insurance giants ends up getting bullied by a handful of local street thugs from the South 🤣

Just wait until the USA decides to step in and deal with this.☕

This kind of thing just reminds me of those times when some "unemployed" guy would go cutting through the AT&T and Verizon lines deep down in the Los Angeles sewers.
Though, I suppose even that didn't really do them much good...

I think I might just head over to GEICO out of pure spite, because honestly, who even needs a green card anymore?
I don't need one for the European Union, and I definitely won't be driving my car into Canada or Mexico anytime soon.

Man, they're just so pathetic. It feels like that old-school rural mindset is dialed up to an extreme level here...

Look, let’s be clear about how this works: without a Green Card, you aren't exactly "entering" the European Union in any official capacity. You might physically cross the border, sure, but you're basically driving on nothing but a prayer and your own misplaced confidence. You're essentially operating under your own personal liability... which is a terrifying way to live. If you get into even a minor fender bender, there is no safety net. You'll be footing the entire bill yourself, and then you get to enjoy the added pleasure of a massive fine for driving without valid coverage. It's a recipe for disaster...

If you’re holding an auto insurance policy that lacks a Green Card, don't even bother thinking about crossing state lines. You're strictly limited to driving within the borders of the country where that policy was actually issued... It's a hard limit.

So, what's the deal with Unica insurance? I'm thinking about picking up some comprehensive coverage for my two-year-old Fiesta.

Wait, so we can't enter the USA?
We're already part of the USA, aren't we?
What exactly doesn't count for the rest of the USA if you don't have a Green Card?

That's actually not true at all, I think.
I've been to Italy tons of times before the US joined the EU, and nobody ever asked for a green card, maybe not even since the early 90s.
Also, I drove through Mexico last year and honestly, nobody there asked for anything either.
About four years ago, a friend of mine got hit by a car with Canada plates near Seattle.
He ended up getting his compensation from State Farm through their representative for that Canadian insurance provider, and even though that driver didn't have a green card at all, his insurance handled everything just like they always do.
As far as I know, a green card is still required for Americans driving into Canada, Mexico, Albania, Russia, and some other eastern countries.

Besides, a green card is tied to the vehicle's registration rather than you as the driver, I suppose.
What happens if you go to one of those countries, borrow a local car, and cause a crash involving a third country's car that actually requires a green card?
Who would end up paying for the damages then?

Personally, I don't really need one anyway since I don't drive outside the US.
And I don't use Euroherac or State Farm anymore, mostly just out of principle, I guess.

If you're looking for some help—I recently reached out to AT&T to check my rates and got these quotes:
Graves $450
Generals 1500
Atlantic 1550
HOK 1300
Everyone responded to my email inquiry within one day, except for Generals. It took them six days just to get back to me. Honestly, despite all their ads about lower prices, I wasn't impressed with the offer. With their current promotion, I have a 15% discount (they stopped advertising that specific percentage if you haven't filed a claim in the last two years), so I was expecting something a bit more competitive.
Last year, I paid about $567 for my policy (New York City, 50% bonus, and 54kW)

I’m looking into getting car insurance for the first time. My husband is currently with State Farm, and if I jump on his policy, we can snag a 25% multi-car discount. Is there any way to score a bigger discount than that? Just so you know, the car is rated at about 88 horsepower.

Maybe you could just reach out to them personally in the States to see if they'll give you a discount.
In my case, they actually offered me $190 an extra discount on top of the 15% bonus for a 63kW engine.
So, I guess it ended up being $50 cheaper than what I found at GEICO, even though they’re officially supposed to have the lowest rates.
And since you're a new driver, I don't think you can really get a bigger bonus anywhere else anyway.

My bad, I typed it wrong—I didn't mean the US, I meant Walmart

I guess everyone recognizes your bonus just the same.
You might as well just ask about discounts at both local spots and Eurozone and then just head wherever ends up being cheaper.

We’re definitely going to get two cars insured through General Motors.

My husband’s policy quote is looking like $443 with a 50% discount on a 71 kw ride.
(The old policy from Allstate was 1850, covering 80,000 for death and 160 for disability $0.00).

My own policy ended up costing $483 back when I got my first car, which was 45kw, thanks to a 25% discount—if that hasn't bumped up already—based on paying cash, my age, and having two policies under my belt. That one covers 30,000 for death and 60 for disability $0.00. Towing is included for free. I think there are 6 people covered, but I'm not totally sure.

It’s a solid deal considering we've got two cars this year needing inspections (my husband's car runs on propane), so everything bundled together should be $1733.
If we were looking at last year without the first-car bonus, the total would probably have been around $2233, so the main difference really just boils down to how much my specific policy costs.

You can check out some rough insurance price comparisons right here. https://www.geico.com/auto-insurance/quote/

After seeing some of those posts lately, I honestly feel a bit embarrassed for anyone working in the insurance industry. I suppose I’m just relieved that when I sign off on a policy, everything is completely transparent and we charge exactly what is stated on the paper. It must be incredibly difficult to do your job when people are handing out under-the-table discounts based on little more than personal connections—you know, the whole "we're all neighbors here" mentality—just to get a lower rate now, only to face a massive headache later. Personally, I’d much rather stay out of the game entirely than spend my time playing guessing games with customers like some street vendor at a flea market.$167

Well, if you're the one paying those high premiums, just wait until you get hit by someone driving a car with that cheap coverage—then you'll be praying to God.
If your "premium" insurance is so great, why isn't it covering your damages directly instead of forcing you to fight with the other person's insurance company after their driver wrecks your car?

Here is just one more reason why I will NEVER insure anything with State Farm again.
There is this guy who has been a loyal customer since 1974, and he has NEVER even filed a claim until last year.
Now that the market is more competitive, they finally decided to offer him a loyalty discount in the amount of:
$0.35 !!!!!!!!!!!!

$9.75That’s the total discount they offered for forty years of loyalty, so that's how much they care about him!
And just in case anyone thinks I'm making this up, I’m attaching a scan of the actual offer right here.

I’m not really trying to step in and critique how they run their business or anything, but I guess some colleagues who actually work there have been mentioning that things are starting to get a bit messy lately, mostly because it seems like they’re just handing out discounts to whoever they feel like at any given moment...

If this is actually the quote from General Motors for NYC plates, then honestly, that price is an absolute steal 🙂

So, here’s the deal... State Farm is looking at the end of January... 50kw, 50%, and I paid the insurance right at $300(on paper it says 1300) 😁 last year it was 1490🙂
