The level of organization is practically nonexistent, and don't even get me started on the customer support or the impossible deadlines they set...
Poor, disorganized USA.gov

Because you get the wrong people in the wrong seats. These systems should be handled by actual experts, but instead, we've got amateurs running the show. Why? Because political connections matter more than technical skill. So, why act surprised?

When you need to renew your Bloomberg certificate because it expired, you have to let Medicare know so they can keep using their application. (Just a heads up, you don't need to notify the U.S. Census Bureau or the IRS; everything there happens automatically).

I'm trying to file my first claim with Medicare today and I keep getting hit with this "Digital signature does not match data" error. Tried calling their support line, but it's just dead air. No one's picking up.
Anyone have any clue what's going on?

Just hit the sign button again and try resubmitting.

You probably signed it once, then added attachments or changed something later... and now the digital signature doesn't match the updated info. Just sign it one more time and send it off.

Every time I restart my computer, it stops working for me—so I just open ActiveClient, go to My certificate, right-click the one I'm using, and select "Make available in Windows." Once I do that, everything runs perfectly.

Support told me that once, so maybe give that a shot and see if it helps you out!

I don't know about you guys, but I've been staring at my screen for way too long today. Just one of those days where everything feels like a bit of a slog. Still, we're pushing through. kaže:
Every single time I reboot my PC, things just stop working. It’s such a pain. I have to manually open ActiveClient, head over to "My certificate," right-click the specific one I’m using, and hit that option to "Make available in Windows." Once I do that, everything finally runs smoothly.

Support told me this once, so hey, maybe give this route a shot if it helps you out.

Alright, it’s done. Huge thanks to everyone for the help.

What kind of supporting documents am I supposed to include? Would just providing my Social Security statement be enough to prove I'm officially enrolled...
I'm also getting an error message saying my digital signature doesn't match the information on file. I actually just had my certificate renewed recently, so I wonder if that might be causing the issue...

You’ll need to send a copy of your ID, your employment Contract, and the processed filing from Medicare.

Once you’ve applied using your digital signature, you gotta hit F10 to confirm everything. If you end up changing anything after signing, you’ll need to re-sign before hitting F10 again.
That was the official word I got via email from Medicare regarding the digital signature process.

I totally blanked and forgot to put the date on my stupid employment Contract before I sent it off. Does anyone have any bright ideas on how to fix this mess?

Honestly, probably nothing. If they catch the mistake, they'll just reject your filing and tell you to resubmit it. It actually happened to me once—I accidentally wrote 2013 on a contract instead of 2014, and Medicare didn't even blink. They processed the whole thing without a second thought. They mostly just go by the digital records from the Social Security administration anyway, and in my experience, they rarely take the time to scrutinize the actual paperwork that closely.

I headed over to the Medicare office at 10:00 this morning to file my paperwork, and you wouldn't believe it, but they had everything processed in just thirty minutes!
Honestly, I have to hand it to them because they did an incredible job. It really feels like they either took all that recent feedback to heart or they finally figured out how to streamline the whole system just as efficiently as we expected.

If you just renewed the certificate, you probably have to call them. You need to get someone on the line so they can manually re-enter your name and SSN. (I don't have the number handy since I'm at work, but if you can't find it, I'll send it over Monday). That’s how I finally got it to work after struggling for ages. As soon as I dictated the specific info they asked for over the phone, the app started working fine.

Hey, could you please just hold off on putting the number in on Monday? I haven't quite gotten everything sorted out yet... thanks 😉

Leola, did you ever figure out that attachment issue? It’s giving me trouble too... Files are PDFs, no weird characters in the filenames, but they still won't upload. Has anyone else dealt with this...

My experience:

NOAA—processed in about 20 minutes.

Medicare—done in 10.

:-D

I’m looking for some guidance here if anyone has run into this specific headache before. I need to de-register some employees from Medicare, but every time I attempt to enter their insured person ID into the system, I get hit with an error message stating I don't have the necessary authorization to access the records
On top of that—and this is where it gets even more frustrating—I have three workers currently listed under my facility's profile, yet the two individuals I actually need to de-register aren't showing up in the object list at all. Is there a way for me to manually add those two back into the system myself so I can finish this?
