Some folks have actually made a killing just by trading against whatever the headlines were screaming at the time.

Watching gold climb like this makes me wonder if that rumor😍 about China snatching up 5,000–6,000 tons of gold by year-end is actually legitimate—especially considering total global production sits at just 2,600 tons.😉

Nenenen, you’ve got it wrong—or maybe you just haven't heard the full story yet. They’re looking to pick up that entire amount by 2015. 🙂

It’s easy to say... I didn't catch the rumor firsthand, but rather heard it through the grapevine😍—specifically from Sean Broderick...😉

But even if that's the case—if they really plan to scoop up that much by 2015—it isn't just bullish for gold prices... it's incredibly bullish. So bullish, in fact, that Karl and Francisko might actually lose their teeth from grinding them so hard.😂

We hit 1664... then 30.25... now we're sliding down toward roughly 1620... 28.5, before heading back up again.

Maybe it isn't official, but...
Since all drugs are banned anyway, people just use whatever they want. 😁

Hey, quiettrucker12, you still living in dreamland? Looks like that 3.89% growth over the last month totally blinded you after we spent an entire year sliding downhill. You really think one good month fixes everything? 😁

Honestly, when I see people blaming the Chinese for every price hike on NYMEX... then turning around and pointing the finger at greedy bankers every time things dip... makes you wonder if we’re all just looking at clouds. 😉

Francis, good to see you're doing well and checking in.😉........
I am just as convinced as you are that gold is being manipulated—both to the upside and the downside—just like everything else out there.😂

Right now, there is a push toward the upside designed to shake out the reckless short-sellers (people like you and big Karl)......and once they're gone, we'll likely see another round of deflation followed by inflation, and so on. For those of us riding these waves of volatility, it is perfectly fine.😍

The general trend remains Stagflation and everything that entails—gold, silver, oil, food prices, energy, equities, currencies, and so forth.

By the way, regarding my returns—they have been solid. As I mentioned, I picked up some IBM a couple of months ago at $24-$25 per share, and it is currently sitting at $34. Since you are an experienced trader, I am sure you can do the math on that percentage increase.

Professor Marshall in The New York Times;

"Property taxes serve a primary developmental purpose by discouraging—or rather, making more expensive—the traditional habit our citizens have of hoarding wealth in "bricks and mortar," rather than investing in banks, bonds, stocks, gold, education, and other avenues."

And there you have it, tossing banks, government bonds, stocks, and gold all into the same bucket.

So, at this point, I can't tell if this guy is just talking nonsense or if he's actually giving us some solid advice on how to diversify a portfolio. 😁

Let me make sure I actually understood that idiot correctly. 🤣

So, property tax incentivizes investing in gold, which then somehow drives development...
That is a fascinating way to think—bravo to our friend Marshall. 🥳

I especially love the idea of dumping money into government bonds issued by a state run by morons... charming thought. I can't wait for him to get the chance to try that himself. 😂

Investing in stocks remains a fine idea—though, much like my colleague Baker, I'll stick strictly to the stocks I personally own and ignore any others. Plain and simple. 🙂

As usual, you're cherry-picking the timeframe that suits your narrative. 🙂 It doesn't matter; in a few years, this "crash" will look like nothing more than a minor speed bump compared to where we were at the peak.
If you want to know why prices rise, blame the same crowd pumping stocks and gutting the global reserve currency along with their banking nonsense. 🙂

It seems to me that my colleague Francis is quite uninformed—which explains most of his misconceptions.😉

Let’s look at what has actually generated the highest returns for investors during this crisis (over the last five years):

Top 10 gainers (in USD)

Corn, up 146 percent

Quincy, up 144 percent

Silverado, up 122 percent

ExxonMobil, up 63 percent

U.S. investment grade debt (excluding financials), up 55 percent

U.S. corporate debt, up 44 percent

U.S. high yield bonds, up 40 percent

U.S. Treasury bonds, up 38 percent

U.S. financial senior debt, up 37 percent

Wheat, up 36 percent
http://www.theglobeandmail.com/globe...rticle4472983/

...and these figures are from before this recent 3.89% jump—meaning Quincy could very well be sitting at number one right now.

Unbelievable... even the party (which didn't believe in anything) 🤣... finally put their faith in gold...

And here I was—thinking they were actually going to try and protect the old US dollars... back then. 😂

don't miss the massive market rally 😍
Personally, I've got my doubts about all that. To me, a more realistic move would be silver heading back toward $29 and gold hovering somewhere around $1640. But hey, we'll see how it plays out.

We might see some dips here, but honestly, it’s looking more and more like it hits $50 by year's end 😁

We’re looking at a definitive uptrend here. Looking at physical coins from last week, the New York Philharmonic has climbed by about a US Dollar per ounce.
