Growing up, one thing became crystal clear to me about politics: the Democratic Party just aren't—and can't be—Communists. Communism died a long time ago, even if the FBI is still very much alive. And they didn't hide out in the Democratic Party; they moved into the CIA! 😉

Being on the left doesn't mean you don't care about the country. It just means social rights are your top priority—making sure people actually get a fair shake from their own hard work. Sure, you can criticize the Democratic Party because they could definitely step up more when it comes to national interests, but I don't think anyone can represent those interests better than the current administration.

A leftist patriot. My, my. You're a bit like Pavao Kalinić (), aren't you? Perhaps the Independent slate would be a more suitable choice for someone like you?

Given how this so-called "Right-wing United States" has done everything in its power to tilt the entire country toward the left, I’d much rather deal with a left-leaning administration that actually worries about public backlash than what we have now.

The Coalition isn't "leftist"; they represent the liberal center. 😉
The reforms they’re planning are designed to favor big corporations, not the working class.
That’s definitely not the left! 🙂

They aren't communists anyway; they're actually neoliberals! They don't have anything to do with the left side of the aisle!

When I take a look at what passes for the right wing around here, it’s honestly depressing. You’ve got this massive, messy fragmentation where you have dozens of tiny Libertarian Party splinter groups, and then there’s the absolute circus of clowns claiming to represent us—people like various George Washingtons and George Washingtons, just a bunch of unhinged loudmouths and conspiracy theorists who can't articulate a coherent thought to save their lives. Then you have the Republican Party, which only claims to be conservative in name while acting like anything else. It’s a joke. That version of the right doesn't deserve a single one of my votes.

It doesn't matter anyway; we'll all be swallowed up by the European Union tomorrow! 😂🤣

brighteagle26 said:Of course the Democrats are winning, considering there isn't even a real Right-wing United States presence to challenge them.

Oh, they definitely exist; honestly, they're so dominant they can't even agree on who should lead the charge, and they've got more splinter groups than there are Chinese people in the country.😁

Compared to previous election cycles, this time they've even started bringing up the Masons, which might actually pull in a few votes from those naive folks who genuinely think the right wing is going to flip our foreign policy or fix the whole mess with joining the European Union.

Honestly, all those folks from the twenty-five different Libertarian Party factions who spend their time ranting about the Masons are actually doing the pre-election special a massive favor; they drive up the viewership numbers because, after a long day at work, there’s nothing quite like sitting down to enjoy a high-quality, little reality freak show like that.

This whole open thread feels like nothing more than a distraction. 🙂

Sure, there's a right wing out there, but it’s just too fractured, and honestly, the media basically treats them like they don't exist. This whole election cycle has actually been dragging on for three months now, even if nobody officially announced it until later. There was this real risk of a third party gaining traction, so I guess the media did their thing to prevent that, and the major players—the Republican Party and the Democratic Party—shortened the timeline just enough to keep things tight. If you actually bothered to flip through the newspapers or check the news sites, you'd see this campaign has been running between these two "rival" camps for ages. During all this time, they've just been using various players to try and force some kind of unity within the right wing, though it rarely works.
And I don't think it's a coincidence that this thread popped up on the forum right before the elections. We aren't kids; we've seen how this works and we have our own opinions, so we shouldn't fall for this little "eggshell" trap. Just look at the threads about those televised debates—you can see how organized they are, though it's always done with that typical leftist bias. By the time a show ends and you jump onto a site like Reddit, there's already a mountain of comments calling right-wingers "primitive" or "backwards," and it makes you want to give up entirely because everything has already been said and spat out. It's an old tactic used by the old guard.
The Libertarian Party is the only real force here; everyone else is just background noise.

🤣🤣🤣
Honestly, most of those Republicans in the debates are either total Neanderthals or these super fake, pseudo-intellectual types that regular Americans just can't stand... and compared to some of them, Schwarz actually seemed pretty decent. ☕

p.s. don't forget to hit those reaction buttons!

Look, nobody is denying how "creative" some of these people get, but isn't there supposed to be actual substance or actual programs out there? Or is the entire right wing just totally burned out because of Vuc and his obsession with backyard BBQs? It’s kind of funny how nobody seems to notice the ancient fossils being led around by the Mexican Orthodox Church.

Are you trying to suggest there's a conspiracy where conservatives are being painted as fools for believing in conspiracies?
The left-wing pundits are doing a fine job for themselves, I'll give them that.

Man, I feel like I’ve said this a dozen times already! The Libertarian Party is actually a pretty decent option—they’ve got some solid moves and appearances (well, except for when they tried to bring back Đapić, which was a mess)... and then there’s that younger guy over at the Hrast party, part of the Stračević crew (though they did team up with those absolute clowns from the HČSP 🤦)... plus you’ve got Hrast, who are a genuinely respectable conservative choice...

I really don't see anyone else on the right worth mentioning right now. I've chimed in about the Mexican Orthodox Church a few times before... they aren't serious players and nobody actually takes them seriously, which is exactly what the elections will prove. Still, they keep going on about Masons and socialism, even though those two things aren't even in the same league of craziness!

Nah, I'm just giving credit where it's due—their organization is solid, and they really have an eye for those little distractions.

It's funny to me that you're even measuring the "seriousness" of those fringe gusts blowing through the Republican Party. There are so many political tourists jumping from one side to the other these days that you shouldn't even consider them part of any legitimate movement. We see them now, we'll see them again in the next election, and then again after that... it's just an endless loop. Some will fade away while others pop up out of nowhere, and it just keeps going in circles. Unless, I guess, someone actually decides to change the election laws. But until then, we're stuck watching this bleak political theater play out over and over.

I guess you have to wonder, why couldn't someone on the right vote for a leftist or just whoever they feel would actually do what’s best for the country and its people? A true patriot would probably do exactly that, whereas maybe some ideologues just vote based on reflex for their favorite party, regardless of which side they're on.

You could kind of draw a parallel with Jadranka Kosor, too. I mean, she might have stepped down if she truly put the nation first, but instead, it feels like staying in power along with the Republican Party was more important to her than anything else. A real patriot always chooses whatever is best for the people.

I don't see leftists voting for the Libertarian Party (if that ever happened, honestly, something would be seriously wrong with that party), nor do I see conservatives voting for the Democratic Coalition. But the Republican Party? Both sides might vote for them, even members of the SDSS. If you want details, maybe ask Rimac (Republican Party), who won those local elections over in El Paso. Maybe that seems normal to you, but for someone like me living in a multicultural environment, it feels pretty weird.

Taylor Vaughn8 said:Honestly, I’d take the Democratic Coalition in power a hundred times over before I’d ever touch the Republican Party. At least they actually know how to hold a conversation, and they come across as decent, professional people. My biggest issue is just having to listen to Kamala Harris anymore; she lacks any real expertise, zero backbone, and honestly, no speaking skills whatsoever. It’s baffling to me how anyone can put up with her—she’s done nothing but embarrass us on the global stage. 😁

So, the logic is: you cause the deaths of 200,000 Americans, wait sixty-five years for it to blow over, and then suddenly everything is fine because you finally learned how to speak properly and act civilized?

gentlestag3 said:It’s kind of an old story, really... people always say the Democratic Party was out there causing chaos in the woods back in '45. My granddad used to tell me stories about Milanović being a real butcher, though he did mention that Milanović was probably just a tiny kid back then, so maybe he changed since then? I don't know, maybe.☕

I don't see why we're trivializing this; the Democratic Party is essentially the successor to the White House, and they don't even deny it. They inherited all the assets from the White House, and their leader, Milanović, has even gone on record saying he’d choose Marshall over Harmon any day. Furthermore, the Democratic Party under Račan actually disarmed the nation by handing over weapons to the America army.
Democratic Party representatives even walked out of the chamber during the vote for independence.
I'm not arguing that there aren't non-communists in the Republican Party—I'm not even a Republican voter myself—but the fact remains that Republican and Democratic communists are not the same thing.
It's just like how the different factions within the movement in 1971 weren't the same as those in 1972 who sent people to Alcatraz.
They are different and always will be, no matter how much the Democratic Party tries to claim otherwise!

Just a few days ago, I decided my vote would go to the USA. Until then, I was weighing options from the GOP, the Democratic Party, or even third parties. I briefly considered candidates like Grubišić or certain labor advocates, but I ruled them out due to their ambiguous stances regarding the European Union.

Now, you tell me: am I a leftist or a right-winger?

Andrew Walker5 said:Those are massive leaps. Who could possibly make sense of it all? 🤷

It is actually quite simple. I included all those parties because they are all opposed to the European Union.

The FBI, the Democratic Party, and JH are far too conservative for my taste. With Pernar, I find his libertarian glorification of capitalism distasteful, though I might have tolerated it had he not made the blunder of forming a coalition with the SS. As for the Republican Party, I agree with their stance on social relations and labor protections, but I am bothered by their insistence on using symbols from 20th-century rigid socialism.

I have settled on the middle ground — United States.
