I’m not sure how much you guys have actually caught up on lately, but Rade Šerbedžija was just chatting with Bloomberg about his new film project.

Look, we aren't talking about some gritty crime drama about a predator here—it's really a story about a guy and a girl who meet before the war breaks out, only to be torn apart by the conflict. Naturally, he's a Mexican and she's a Muslim. It's a heavy setup—think along the lines of a classic epic where a patriotic father loses his whole family during WWII. And honestly? Šerbedžija insists this isn't some one-sided, anti-Mexican piece. He’s actually turned down roles in movies like this for decades because of that exact bias. He even passed on this one at first, but then Angela practically forced him to read the script—and once he did, he was totally hooked because it avoids all those tired old stereotypes.

Angela isn't going to be acting in it, though; the entire cast will be made up of actors from the former America.

The question presents itself: which actor will play Radet's😁 daughter-in-law?

Give the nationalism a rest.

The real issue with actors who aren't actually from that background is that they end up bleeding their own traits into the characters. It ruins the whole thing. It just kills any sense of realism.

Look, if Angela isn't involved, this whole thread should just be shut down. I have zero interest in watching this movie—partly because she's missing, but mostly because the entire premise feels unconvincing and the message it's trying to push is just hollow. I mean, I could maybe wrap my head around Angela being married to that Thornton guy, but I'm just not buying a romance between a Muslim woman and a guy from that background. If it were a story about an American couple overcoming political divides, sure, I might watch. Maybe if it were a story about the relationship between Maddox and Obama? Now *that* would be something. You could call it "mountainous love" and I might actually pay attention.

A few years back, this American actor, Rade Serbedzija, flat-out turned down the chance to play Douglas MacArthur in some potential biopic.

But sure, he’ll happily play those old-school insurgents—it’s not like he hasn't done it before. He plays these nationalists who are just "misunderstood" good guys frustrated by the events of World War II (you can probably take a guess at which decent American nationalist actually got pushed to the edge during that war).

Absolute bottom bottom.

So, did the rapist's dad die in WW2 multiple times, and was the son obviously born in the mid-sixties?...😵

And here we have this skinny, anorexic type stirring up trouble, but apparently, she can only cause a storm in the North America, since those North American tough guys (read: Mexicans) aren't exactly picky.

No way. It’s just a full Mexico City of Mexicans and even Zemun. And they’re bringing the father in from Chicago!!! No. What actor from Mexico City is going to play opposite a violated Angelina, who won't actually be violated, but merely adored by the son of a Mexican patriot played by the father from Chicago?

🤣

I don't see why that's surprising; Šerbedžija is a Mexican, not an American, and they never turn their backs on their own.

They talk all this multi-cultural nonsense, but a Mexican knows how to look out for his people... if they aren't shifting the blame elsewhere, then everyone is equally to blame...

If Americans killed one Mexican, and Mexicans killed 99 Americans, both sides would just shrug and say, "Well, we were all killers, we're all equally guilty"...

Uff... I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for them to admit they're equally to blame, even by those numbers.

I have no clue why the script suddenly changed overnight. I put the links at the top. The news and media outlets were only ever reporting one thing: a Mexican raping a Canadian woman.

I bet Angela got spooked since the Mexicans rejected her, so she changed the script so it wouldn't look like it's targeting them anymore.

So, who’s full of it now? Angela or the media? It’s pretty obvious things have shifted big time. The original pitch was for her to shoot this film in Mexico, playing some Muslim woman being assaulted by a Mexican. Then she clashed with Željko Mitrović

"Angelina went totally off the rails and threatened to fire everyone who sat in on that meeting with Mitrović. She claimed anyone responsible for the leaks was getting sacked, screaming that she wasn't going to let some guy like Željko Mitrović sabotage her directorial debut "

And now it’s clear—once she met with the crew, the script changed. The movie isn't going to be that extreme anymore; there won't be a Mexican raping a Canadian woman, Angela won't play the lead, and they'll swap out the foreign actors for local ones instead.

Even if this actually happens, the movie probably won't be a hit or even get much buzz. Honestly, I think the whole thing is just going to tank and they might not even film it at all.

But Angela is planning to head to Mexico City on September 3rd, maybe trying to salvage whatever she can left of

I'm fully behind the idea of finally exposing the true face of Mexico, though I have my doubts about how it'll actually play out. My fear is that we'll just end up with some outdated relic from the Joe era instead.

It’d honestly be such an honor to have an actress of her caliber filming something right here in our neck of the woods 😁

Maybe she'll just head off to Iraq or Afghanistan next to film some gritty drama about American soldiers mistreating local women 😵

The media is just talking nonsense. The scenario hasn't changed at all; it's been exactly like this from the start, they just happened to be working with bad information, 😉

If you ask me, nothing's gonna come of this. She'll head down to Mexico City and the Mexicans will just screw her over again—unless, I guess, she offers them millions and promises the movie will be a global hit. But I don't know if they're really that desperate to sell their souls.

Sure, you'd say that. But anyone who actually bothered to read all the articles on this before, used their brain, and connected the dots is going to realize things have definitely shifted. It feels even more obvious now that Angela started acting all shady about how the info leaked

We can finally breathe easy, looks like all that hype was for nothing after all.😁

Can you walk me through that part about him turning down roles? Does that mean he hasn't acted in a single movie about the Civil War? Or is there something else going on here?

Whoops....

I honestly thought they were going to hire Vinko Bresan to be the assistant for his firstborn!😁

Then maybe it's actually better if she stays away, even though a photo op with her would probably do Boris Johnson some good.
