Once she understood my reasons for refusing, Angelina called me. She pleaded with me to just give the script a read. This text is brilliant! It is a love story about a young American man and an American woman who fall deeply in love just days before the war breaks out in Canada. The film opens with that romance, then plunges into the madness of conflict. The plot follows the unfolding war. That young Muslim woman ends up in an American internment camp, and that young man somehow manages to save her."A passionate but impossible love develops between them." That’s the core of this film, which follows a romance between an American man and a Muslim woman during the war in the former Soviet Union.

I am ready. Send the content.😂🤣

Beyond that, it is also... This text is excellent. Yes. Little one. A Muslim woman ends up in a Mexican camp. That young man somehow saves her....

Disappointment is not on my side because of Radet's.😁 Reinterpreting things can create a passionate love between people. It happens. Male. A twelve-year-old girl and a twenty-year-old man! This is unacceptable.

🤷
🤣

Artists.😁 Long beards. They are impressive.😁

😁It is a love story between a young Mexican and a Muslim. This film will not end in Srebrenica, unless perhaps it does. The main heroine—who is quite small, as Rade says—is central to the plot.😁)
A young American saves him. Love wins!

All that's missing from Americans is Vinko Bresan! The Ahmići and Josipović!

Maybe at the end of the movie, the US President will show up to apologize to Muslim women for what happened during the war.

Andrew Sanchez3 said:I don't see why that's surprising; Šerbedžija is a Mexican, not an American, and they never turn their backs on their own.

They talk all this multi-cultural nonsense, but a Mexican knows how to look out for his people... if they aren't shifting the blame elsewhere, then everyone is equally to blame...

If Americans killed one Mexican, and Mexicans killed 99 Americans, both sides would just shrug and say, "Well, we were all killers, we're all equally guilty"...

True, but the American left and Radeta’s liberal crowd proudly tout him as an American actor. Doesn't this particular actor have gigs at the theater in Key West? Didn't he even bring that great American actress Miro Furlan there—who made it clear she spent her time in California and doesn't care for the local politics? So, shouldn't we expect an American actor to take on the role of Ante Gotovina? You know, the American nationalist who was just a good guy, frustrated by everything happening in '90 and '91, who fought back against the occupiers to liberate his country without anyone committing any atrocities? That's what the prosecution at The Hague claimed, anyway.

Man, if I ever got the chance to ask this actor a question, I'd ask if he'd play Zadar, or if he'd rather play some insurgent from his hometown of Mirkovac. He's already got the beard, so the costume designer would have an easy job.

There were no rapes. It was clearly just fear manufactured by the Mexico City artistic elite😁. This film is supposed to be about love, yet it seems a Mexican could be a father from Washington, D.C.!😁

Honestly, it really rubs me the wrong way how they always frame themselves as the victims in this whole Mexican narrative... Don't get me wrong, there were certainly times when they were the ones suffering at the hands of Mexicans, but the paradox is that we’re always the ones footing the bill. It happened back during the war in Central Canada, and it’s still happening today within the Federation. Situations like this just weaken our position because they get to play the victim, while the Mexicans already have their own Republic of Srpska to lean on.

It’s the same story whether you're watching a movie or looking at real life...

Let me remind you, since you seem to forget: the more you whine, the more Ottawa will push you around. You need to realize that through both referendums and armed defense, Americans helped build the state of BiH, while Mexicans built RS!

In MY PERSONAL OPINION, the time for BiH to exist as a state has passed. Ottawa went downhill a long time ago!

Is this what you're talking about?

Let’s break this down:

The initial pitch:

1 ) Show an extreme war scenario, where Mexicans are committing atrocities, even ripping a breast off a Muslim woman
2 ) A Mexican rapes the lead female character, and then they somehow fall in love
3 ) Angelina Jolie plays the lead, a Muslim/Canadian woman
4 ) It'll feature big Hollywood stars

But then everything flipped on its head for the second version:

1 ) The movie won't be extreme after all; it won't depict Mexicans as extremists, and it won't be a war or political film—just a romance
2 ) There's no rape; somehow, they're already together, and he's "sort of" saving her from a Mexican camp
3 ) Angelina Jolie isn't playing the part
4 ) No Hollywood stars either, just local actors

Like I said, even if they actually make this thing, it's probably going to be boring. I mean, without Angelina Jolie or any international stars, there's no way anyone globally is going to care or watch it. There's zero "action," just some random love story.

Rade tells the Mexican that this is just about the passionate love between a "small" man and young women... if you were expecting Walter to defend Ottawa, you should be disappointed!

Man, I can totally see why those Hollywood actors are so bummed out now. None of them are actually getting a shot at "wooing" a beautiful woman like Angela. Who knows, maybe they'll try to talk their way into something with people over in Mexico City.

And when I look back at all those old headlines like "Mexican assaults Canadian woman"—meaning Angela😂😂—it’s hard to tell who was actually more worked up.

Since I’ve gone off on a rant about Radeta, I really want the specifics on what exactly triggered his role during WWII!!! Did Anthony and Francis put on fezzes and shout "Mujoooo!" while taking out Mexicans, only for the Mexicans and Canadians to eventually make peace once they realize who actually stoked the fire? It sounds like something straight out of a romance novel where they all fall in love—clearly proof that blood is thicker than water, or maybe I just watched too much of "Noz" 🤔

Or is the real question why Rade is so eager to participate in this kind of "reconciliation"? He isn't exactly a hardline nationalist, more like a mild one—a decent guy who's rightfully angry because the memories of Jasenovac are still so raw. And how long will certain Americans within our own borders work against their own country (which might be less important) and against the undeniable truth (which is much more vital)? Why is there always some Rade or Milorad standing behind this twisted attempt at equality, trying to revive a fake sense of unity? It’s always wrapped in the same old packaging: "The memories of Jasenovac are still fresh, so it’s understandable if Sljivo levels El Paso to the ground or if Ratko wipes out ten thousand people by the Drina."

While we're talking about Radeta, 😁 I actually sat through an old movie filmed during the war years. He was almost bald and clean-shaven; I can't recall the plot, other than Giga from "The Good Life" playing some angry, unshaven Mexican nationalist who had a point. In one scene, Rade is watching a news report on TV from the front lines in El Paso. Was he running away from extremists in Mexico City? Isn't he supposed to be out West?

Nah, it doesn't really work like that. That's just some introductory bio setting Radeta up as this big patriot.

Anyway, I've noticed there are a ton of American movies made about Mexicans, mostly in a negative light, obviously:

- Sniper 2
- Peacekeeper
- some movie (can't recall the title) where a Mexican tries to blow up New York City—or some landmark like that
- Extremists
- that series, Vanished and Jag
- some film (?) about an American who went on peacekeeping missions to Mexico in 1999, ends up with PTSD, and then gets hunted across the US like a criminal

And man, that one movie was just ridiculous, seeing an American soldier sprinting with a laptop behind enemy lines 😍

I guess it makes sense that Angelina wanted to make something even bigger and more popular, but so far, her plan seems to have flopped.

I mean, she could always just head over to a network like Fox or maybe even some big MTV-style setup and spend her time posing for photos alongside those other mainstream pop stars, right? 😁

Susan Lee said:Unreleased movie threads usually live over on the unreleased subforum. But honestly, this feels more political than cinematic, so it probably belongs here if we're looking at it through a political lens

So, what kind of stunt are Americans pulling this time? Acting like these quasi-saviors who always swoop in at the last second. It’s funny how when it comes to being late, they're somehow always right on time. Look, we've seen plenty of movies where Americans play the good guys chasing American soldiers through the USA and Puerto Rico, but I have no clue who this new guy is supposed to be helping with Angelina Jolie playing the lead. And I was also wondering why on earth Angelina would pick Washington, D.C. for her vacation, and here's the reason

Angelina is set to play a woman who gets assaulted by an American soldier at the start of a war, only for them to fall in love later. Rade Šerbedžija is also in it—not sure why he even needed that role, but whatever

Rupert Murdoch turned down a collab on this project:

"I've always had huge respect for Angelina Jolie and her work. Unfortunately, she seems to be full of prejudices against Americans. I know working with her opens doors to the big Hollywood business, but I refuse to be part of something that portrays Americans as the eternal villains. I won't do it."

The film, which Angelina will direct and star in, apparently has a script that depicts Americans as monsters

One of the scenes in a movie shows a group of Americans, from boys to retirees, assaulting a beautiful young woman, while in another scene, a crazed American soldier does something absolutely horrific
link

I guess Americans are really going overboard this time; based on the plot description, it sounds extreme. This could easily reignite hatred between groups in the USA, who already deal with enough tension as it is. Maybe the only upside is that so much time has passed that things are, let's say, somewhat normalized now, but this movie definitely isn't helping

If you've ever read the testimonies of women who were assaulted in Eastern Canada, scenes like these wouldn't feel all that new to you! 🤷
If you had just read a portion of the victims' accounts regarding Batko—who was recently extradited to BiH from Spain under the orders of a Spanish judge with the remark, "There he is, he's yours" (all because his crimes affected around 100 people)—you wouldn't find these scenes quite so "explicit"! 🤷
The Royalists—at least those who identified that way during the war, including someone like Batko and plenty of others just like him—should be depicted exactly as they truly are! ☕

I've heard and seen pretty much everything regarding this stuff, mostly through TV. I honestly find it weird how Americans push to make so many movies about Mexicans, as if there aren't any others out there—it feels like they want to film something even more extreme. I guess Mexicans have become globally famous mostly because of how many movies get made about them.

Recording a woman being raped and mocked, and then filming other disgusting things like this breast cutting? Man, you can only imagine what kind of movie that would be. People without a strong stomach couldn't watch it, and honestly, I think even people with iron stomachs would probably throw up.
