Do you believe in angels?

Do you believe in angels? If you look at the original Greek and Hebrew, the word actually translates to a messenger or someone sent on a mission. Supposedly, they serve God (or various gods).
The Bible and the Quran mention them, along with other sacred texts that describe these winged, divine beings.
People say the wings represent freedom and protection. But do you really think they have physical wings?
They’re considered androgenous—essentially genderless, neither male nor female.
And while they are supposedly overflowing with unconditional love, they don't carry human emotions. It's just pure love.
They're also described as being absolutely beautiful and gentle.
Do you think there are different tiers of angels? Like archangels, for instance?
Or do you believe in fallen or evil angels?

Personally, I believe we each have an Angel Guardian watching over us. In fact, I think everyone does.
They act as our guides through this life. And I'd like to think they actually do have feelings—though, naturally, nothing malicious. Just love, kindness, and plenty of understanding.
Since I don't believe in Satan, I don't buy into the idea of evil angels either.

So, I'm curious to hear what you all think... 🙂

I mean, how can you not believe when you grew up sleeping right under that massive oil painting in a heavy frame? You know the one—that hyper-realistic depiction of an Angel Guardian watching over two little kids crossing a bridge. It was hanging in our house forever. 🙂

Honestly, without Angels, life would be pretty unbearable; they really do make things easier for us.
I like to think my Angel always manages to snag me a parking spot. It’s honestly a miracle because no matter where I go or how crowded the lot is, while everyone else is circling around desperately looking for a space, Lisa Morales4 just glides right into the perfect spot that seems to be waiting specifically for her.

There is no such thing as an "evil angel" because, by definition—and just as you pointed out—Angels exist to serve God and carry out His will.

The correct term for those other entities is demons... who have absolutely nothing to do with God, nor do they "serve" Him.

In certain Eastern traditions, angels are basically treated like gods, and demons are just demons. You can even go through reincarnation and become a "god" yourself. I guess this whole emphasis on angels feels a bit like polytheism to me; it seems like it could easily happen where someone starts worshipping a specific angel just as much as they worship God. Maybe it’s because God feels too abstract and complicated to truly grasp, so we try to experience Him through angels who feel closer and more human to us. But then again, don't Christians already have Jesus to bridge that gap? He was a man, after all, so He's the most relatable one to us. So, if we have Him, what's the point of the angels?😕It is the Holy Spirit that protects us, not some guardian Angel, and Jesus is the one who leads us back to God. I suppose angels are more necessary to God as messengers, or perhaps they show up during those rare moments when something needs to be handled in the physical world so that God Himself doesn't have to personally materialize as a "pillar of fire" or something like that. I think there was also a traditional idea that "guardian Angels" were actually just our deceased loved ones watching over us from heaven.☕

Jesus Christ was the living embodiment of an angel, sent by God to walk this Earth.

Look, I think the whole parking lot example isn't directly about Angels, though there's certainly nothing wrong with believing it is. What we're really talking about is synchronicity—harmony. "Connection" is the magic word here, and intention is what triggers it. The entire community and everything we do is essentially one giant "web" woven from our thoughts and then our actions. By focusing your thoughts, you're actually prompting a reaction, which leads to that spontaneous fulfillment of what you want. It's like when you're thinking about someone and they suddenly call you out of the blue. It's a massive topic, but that's a conversation for another time.

As for Angels, I see them as pure, light-based entities representing unconditional love and cosmic harmony. If we are open enough to let an Angel into our lives, we will undoubtedly feel their protection and sense their love—and in return, we stay aware and grateful. Much like an internal spiritual guide, they’ll always point us in the right direction if we just have the decency to ask. 🙂

Yeah, I believe in them. They’re sweet, they’re kind—just our constant, invisible guardians watching over us.

Nah, I don't buy it. Honestly, people probably just made the whole thing up as a way to feel better about themselves.
Especially the whole bit about chubby faces, curly hair, and wings—it’s just not realistic.

I see them clearly; I don't need faith to prove they exist.
Other people witness them too, but they lack the insight to realize they're actually Angels...
They just assume they're part of the decor, mimicking their essence by hanging ornaments on a Christmas tree...

So, I guess that’s it then: your angel lights the way, pointing you toward a spot in a crowded parking lot that just happened to open up right as you pulled in. You just have to stay tuned in and be in harmony with that light.

I still remember the stress and trauma of high school and college exams. For someone like me (and please, try to remember your own experiences)—someone who was lost in space, constantly reading something else, getting lost in music, or "wasting time writing" (as my mom used to say) instead of studying for tests—passing those exams wouldn't have been possible if I hadn't trusted in the help of my Angel. My entire study routine usually lasted exactly as long as it took to say a prayer the night before, a prayer in the morning, and then a quick prayer in the school restroom while waiting for the exam to start. During the test itself, it was all about concentrating ON the material and trusting IN the Angel I had asked to sit in my shirt pocket and whisper the answers to me.🙂 😛

That friendship with your Angel is built over years, so it’s no wonder they work miracles for me. So, Keith Baker, I suppose my Angel really does lead me straight to a parking spot in the middle of a busy downtown or a packed shopping mall.🙂

I believe Angels are the souls of our loved ones who have found peace with God (in Heaven),
watching over us and guiding our way.

I once read about a kid who tumbled from the fifth floor of an apartment building and walked away with nothing more than a few scrapes. In my view, Angels softened his fall.
I truly believe they are God's helpers.

For a long time, I really used to believe in things like angels and demons... but as I get older, I find myself believing in those things less and less—instead, I’ve started placing much more importance on my own intuition and gut feelings.

My grandmother is a firm believer in angels, whereas I tend to lean more toward hobbits, given that I grew up in the D&D generation.

Why would I chase him off? He can't just walk away if his job is to watch over me.
For instance, the whole parking situation works perfectly. When we head downtown, my wife doesn't even dream of driving.
But there's another question bugging me. Does everyone have an Angel Guardian, or is it just a select few?
Do atheists, Buddhists, or Confucians have their own protector too?
And specifically—does this apply to people in places like Chernobyl, Hiroshima, or Bhopal...?

I don't buy into that whole thing about angels with wings.
But I definitely believe in that gut feeling that my late grandma is still right there by my side, watching over me and keeping an eye on how I carry myself.

according to God's promise
watch over me, day and night...

Angels are primarily responsible for keeping the soul pure, and the body comes second.
Even when a young person passes away, it doesn't mean their Angel wasn't there; rather, they were rescued and guided into paradise for eternal life before their soul could be stained by sin.
