I seem to have lost my previous post, the one containing that quote from Tropic of Cancer by Henry Miller regarding the concept of a party cell. Does anyone have an explanation for what happened there?

For about six months now, I’ve noticed someone—someone who certainly isn't the thread moderator—quietly hovering over my contributions and deleting them without so much as a word of explanation.

What on earth does "recruiting" for my posts even mean? Do you actually know what that word implies? ☕

Fair point, I really have no idea why that specific word slipped out of my mouth. I was searching for something more along the lines of "messing around with me" or some such expression, and I clearly missed the mark entirely. Though, if we're being honest, it’s quite possible I am being recruited. 😁

It’s no mystery—I wiped them out myself, acting as moderator.

But why? I can say with absolute certainty that you weren't behind those previous deletions, yet for this particular instance, you aren't offering any explanation at all?

I’ve dealt with this exact same thing myself on various different subforums. People drifting off-topic or just turning everything into a casual chat—that’s usually why it happens. And most of the time, there isn't even a formal warning or a ban involved.

My takeaway? For the minor, harmless stuff, moderators just quietly scrub the posts. If they were actually dealing with something major, I’d definitely be able to tell what was going on. 😁

Now, Andrew Booth29 might be able to tell you if there's some kind of behind-the-scenes agreement happening, but honestly, I think that's exactly the point. 🙂

I’m still sitting here, waiting for some semblance of an explanation. You went ahead and scrubbed posts of mine that were written over two months before you even stepped into a moderator role, and as for this specific one I mentioned above, you haven't offered a single shred of reasoning beyond just being heavy-handed and claiming I'm acting underhandedly. It really makes me wonder—are you just pathologically obsessed with my posts, given how much energy you seem to expend on them?
