Well, you certainly find all kinds out there.😬

Honestly, I probably would have died of sheer boredom this Sunday afternoon if I hadn't stumbled upon you people.😁

It’s more like someone insisting they "don't like milk," yet they absolutely love something else with the exact same color, taste, and smell—it just happens to be something other than milk. That's why I brought up those phallic-shaped aids in the first place.

Hang in there, Wylie. 🎉🎉 Do not allow Apemant to mock you.

Alex Patel96 said:Never.😛 Not once in my life. And I've slept with plenty of them.😂 It was a total disaster. Even when they were wasted, they couldn't get me interested.😉

Then you certainly aren't playing at a professional level. image

You know what? I’d love to give you a real answer here, but honestly, I think it’s probably better if I just stay quiet.

Hehe, well obviously data is collected case by case... that's how science works, isn't it?
I don't even see how that would be possible; if that were true, we’d all be born hermaphrodites so we could just consciously pick which gender we wanted to be.

Pure science fiction.🙂
The biological purpose of sex is reproduction, sure, but let's be real: orgasm is way more frequent. Which gender you achieve that with depends entirely on your own preferences (assuming you actually have freedom of thought). Those preferences come from this messy cocktail of hormones, thoughts, feelings, and whatever is happening in your immediate environment. And honestly, the society we live in plays a huge role too, because it isn't quite liberal enough to let people truly exercise free will regarding what they prefer.
That makes zero sense. In your last paragraph, you’re claiming we can consciously choose our sexual inclinations, but you're totally contradicting yourself. Honestly, I get the feeling you're just regurgitating stuff you read in certain books without actually applying any critical thinking to it.

Actually, yeah, I am saying it's possible to choose which gender you climax with or enjoy sex with.
Think about it: learning starts even before birth with the development of the nervous system in the womb, where a baby perceives the world through vibrations and sound. Up until a certain age—maybe four?—a kid can't really tell reality apart from make-believe. So, since a child is basically a sponge, absorbing everything without questioning it, they soak up the state of the world around them as the absolute norm. When someone is conditioned by their environment to be a heterosexual person (strictly hetero, because society lacks the liberalism to allow anything else), they grow up identifying their sexuality based on the existence of a mom and a dad. Since Mom and Dad are "natural," then being with them feels natural, enjoyable, and desirable. Society loves what is "natural" and "comfortable," and since I'm part of that society, I feel pressured to be natural and comfortable, and so on (I think you see where I'm going with this).
Because this is so deeply ingrained, it gets labeled as "natural"—you know, the whole "we are naturally heterosexual, God made us this way" trope. (And look, don't come at me for bringing religion into it, I'm not going to debate that).

It's just like any other preference—whether it's liking a specific symphony, a certain juice, a TV show, a game, a sport, or strawberries with whipped cream—sexual enjoyment can be shifted. The extent of that shift depends on the ability of the person making the change. And that ability, for whatever it's worth, can be improved, mostly through practice. So, when you think you need to "quit" something (which is usually just an unwanted habit), what you're actually doing is replacing it, because nothing exists in a vacuum. If you can successfully swap one thing out, you can do the second, then the third—and if you can master it in those areas, then yeah, you can definitely do it with sexuality in conscious situations.

Look, if you’ve actually got some hard science or actual research studies to back up your claim that most women's go-to fantasy is hooking up with another woman, then fine—go ahead and toss my point out the window. And hey, I'm not saying there aren't straight women who have those thoughts, obviously, but I am certain it isn't the "majority."

So there's the logic, and to wrap this up...

Like slywolf45 was saying, do you honestly think people are just going to step up and admit the truth when they know they're staring down the barrel of social judgment? People are terrified of being cast out by the very community they belong to, and once you're rejected, you feel totally worthless. You can't forget that most folks just take the path of least resistance to stay safe.

Also, let's be real, why does it seem like both men and women find women more attractive lately? It's because women are putting way more effort into their look these days.

I’ll admit, I’m not liberal at all, so I don't spend my time fantasizing about homosexual relationships. 😢
Something this deeply rooted is considered natural, leading us to these stereotypes—that we are inherently heterosexual, that God made us that way, and so on.

The thing is, that isn't some stereotype; it's a factual reality. I have no desire to debate this topic with you. I see that lonegardener has already replied, and it's clear you consider yourself to be on some "higher level" given how liberal your views are. 😉
Just like any other preference—whether it's symphonic music, fruit juice, TV shows, games, sports, or strawberries with whipped cream—sexual enjoyment can be changed. The degree of change depends on the ability of the person changing. That ability, for whatever it's worth, can be improved, primarily through practice.

What can I say? I haven't the slightest clue how sex can be "improved." In my view, sex is strictly for reproduction. Perhaps that's why I'm not on that "advanced level," since I don't fantasize about women. 😢
Similarly, why are women currently more attractive to both men and women? It's because they take better care of their appearance.

Women, no matter how beautiful, don't excite me; whereas men, regardless of how unattractive they may be, do (though not everyone—just the occasional rare case). What can I do? I am just an ordinary woman without those "progressive" views. 😢

God, the logical fallacies here are endless—everything from ad hominem attacks to playing the victim. It's not helping you, not in trying to prove a point and certainly not in your attempt at sarcasm.

I’m talking about the actual skill required to achieve something like that. You need a reason to even start, and since you clearly don't have one, you can't even begin to test whether my claims hold water.
It’s like thinking you can just pick up singing or painting overnight. (That’s a rhetorical question, by the way, since you're clearly backing out of this "discussion" you think we were actually having.)
p.s.
If you're wondering why I put "discussion" in quotes, it's because I don't see this as a real dialogue, given that I haven't seen a shred of psychological insight in any of your posts on this topic. (And just to be clear, if anyone tries to nitpick—I don't consider it true understanding unless there's actual agreement; otherwise, it's just knowing the vocabulary and being able to express it.)

The logical inconsistencies you're leaning on and those half-baked arguments you're throwing out leave me with nothing but sarcasm; there’s honestly zero substance here for a real discussion. As for your sweeping generalizations about me staying quiet—if we follow your logic that being non-liberal is exclusive to heterosexual people, then we could just as easily apply that to homosexual people, right? They aren't open to heterosexual experiences, so they supposedly lack that "breadth of perspective" that is apparently only granted by God to those who are open to every kind of sexual experience. That particular brand of "logic" you're using? It's called faith...

Sean Cruz said:Honestly, those books are just like "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus" or whatever. Does anyone actually take that stuff seriously?

I don't buy this idea of "bisexuality" being an inherent trait. I think we’re all essentially bisexual, but we just suppress it. 🙄

In this day and age, it's considered modern to think that way, so you see more women experimenting. In all likelihood, sex with another woman isn't the most common fantasy for the average woman—it's really just for those who are already predisposed to homosexuality.

Good grief. Please stop spouting nonsense about things you clearly don't understand.
"My Secret Garden" by Nancy Friday was an actual study on female sexual fantasies conducted back in the 1970s—quite thorough, too—covering a representative sample of women across all ages (in the US, Europe, etc.).
So, it’s a scientific study, not some random bullshit.
Though, I'll admit, it's a fun read, haha.😁

As for the original poster, it's the same old story. How have I not learned to avoid any thread touching on anything related to homosexuality yet? It always leaves me disgusted seeing what people post.

Homophobes make me sick—truly. I think you're all just uneducated, narrow-minded cattle. Look, if a moderator needs to hand out a ban, then fine, let them—but I honestly believe people like that deserve to be insulted, because they're nothing but trash. Just like racists or xenophobes... They aren't even real people; the normal rules of society don't apply to them.

Peter Phillips32 said:I can't even begin to wrap my head around how people think they can just slide through life without ever facing the music, you know? It’s like everyone is just playing pretend, acting all innocent while they’re actually digging themselves into a hole, and honestly, it makes me want to scream sometimes because I see it happening everywhere. And don't even get me started on those folks who act like they've got it all figured out when they're really just stumbling blindly through the dark—it’s honestly kind of pathetic if you ask me (though I guess I'm one to talk, considering how much time I spend overthinking every single little thing until my brain feels like mush).
Look, I get it, an orgasm can go down in a million different ways—that’s just facts. But honestly, the "conclusions" you just dumped on me here? Total nonsense. It’s like if some angry dog gets loose; sure, he might snap at a cat, a rabbit, a chicken, or even a random tree stump if he's feeling particularly unhinged, but at the end of the day, he’s still gonna choose his own damn bone. Why? Is it because someone spent all day brainwashing him with stereotypes? I don't think so. People act like there's some set way things have to work, but that's just noise. 😂

Look, if you’re already out here comparing someone to a dog, then honestly, you’ve just done all my heavy lifting for me and proven my point. You're basically admitting that person is operating on a level where they've completely surrendered their own agency—just sitting there waiting for orders and following whatever "master" tells them to do without a second thought. It’s pure, mindless obedience.
I mean, seriously, that dog’s brain is just totally fried—it's like he's been completely brainwashed or something. You tell him "stay" and he freezes mid-step, then you say "sit" and he just drops right where he is like he's running on autopilot. It's wild.

Look, it’s pretty simple if you think about it—just tell someone they’re being an idiot once and they won't buy it, right? They'll just look at you like you've lost your mind. But you just keep at it, man. You tell them they're stupid a hundred times, and I swear on my life, by the hundred and first time, they’ll finally be the ones to say it themselves. It's like this weird, inevitable cycle where you eventually just wear down their defenses until they admit what everyone already knows. Just a little bit of persistence goes a long way when you're dealing with people who refuse to see reason.
Look, if you’re really going to sit there and preach about freedom of thought like it’s some holy crusade, then maybe you should take a page out of a dog's book. I mean, seriously, why are you being so narrow-minded? Why limit your entire worldview to just Homo sapiens when there is such an incredibly massive, diverse spectrum of fauna and flora out there just waiting to be considered? It's kind of ridiculous if you think about it. 😬 Don't you dare let your own damn prejudices narrow down the scope of what you can feel during an orgasm... seriously, just don't.

I could never see myself acting like a dog—honestly, if we're talking about sucking up to people, I’m certainly not going to be polishing anyone's boots or playing the loyal pet just because they might tighten the leash around my neck.
Look, if you actually bothered to sit down and read that book I mentioned, you’d realize it covers way more than just the obvious stuff—it even dives into examples involving pets. And honestly, you see those kinds of scenarios pop up in the news every once in a while too, though it's rare; usually, it's stories about folks living out in the middle of nowhere, like isolated farmers out in rural Nebraska or something, dealing with their livestock, maybe some sheep or whatever.

p.s.
Look, since you’re already wasting your time reading this anyway, you might as well stop being so damn picky and actually jump in. Stop playing it safe and get involved.

I already read that sentence; you didn't need to remind me. 😍

🤷 I didn't equate them to a dog—quite the opposite. I'm simply reacting to the nonsense claim that "attraction" to the opposite sex is merely a result of stereotypes or brainwashing. As I mentioned before, that doesn't change the obvious fact that an orgasm can be experienced in a hundred different ways. However, that fact doesn't negate what I said earlier: in most cases, attraction to the opposite sex is a matter of biology, not social conditioning.

Sheesh. Okay, have wolves, lions, and elephants had their brains washed? Literally mine. 🙂 My point wasn't about a dog as an obedient pet, but about animals in general.

Ditto. I have no interest in "exploring" things that don't attract me just to prove to myself that I'm "liberal and open-minded." LOL. If anyone wants to judge, they have my permission to think of me as some narrow-minded hillbilly. 🤣

I don't have the patience for reading every bit of nonsense out there... Harry Potter is much more engaging. 🤷 Not to mention this forum itself. ☕

I don't feel any need to stop being selective about things I enjoy. For instance, I'm very particular about my music, and I don't feel the urge to train myself to like country music, for example (though that’s a tired argument; I don't have anything against country, LOL, it just doesn't interest me). Why would I? Honestly, there's no reason. 🤷

Feelings tend to be somewhat reciprocal... though there are subtle nuances involved, which really isn't relevant to the topic at hand. 😍

For instance, I actually find Sean Cruz quite likable, but you? You managed to rub me the wrong way after just one single post. That’s probably a record for me; usually, it takes at least three.

I’m with you on being fed up with homophobia, but I honestly don't see what that has to do with this conversation, nor do I see anyone here actually exhibiting those kinds of attitudes.🤷

How would you define homophobia? 😍

By the way, does anyone else here suffer from "homophobe-phobia"? You know, that irrational fear, intense dislike, or even pure contempt directed toward homophobes? I think I just ran into a prime example of one right now... 🤣

Homophobes are people too, after all. Most of them aren't even aggressive; they’re actually quite mild-mannered. It’s just that small percentage of aggressive individuals who end up giving the whole group a bad name. 😂

It’s the same standard definition you’d find in any textbook: an irrational fear or a deep-seated hatred directed toward people based on their sexual orientation.

Well, if that logic is enough to label something a "phobia," then that female user from earlier is definitely suffering from phobia-phobia. It's totally irrational to feel fear or resentment toward a group of people who aren't even a threat to you. (And let's be real, not every "homophobe" is out there protesting at a Pride parade or throwing things—that goes without saying, right?)

Don't you think?

And for all we know, she might be the one posing the threat, right? Who are we to say otherwise?🤷

😁

It’s an individual who poses a threat, not an entire "type" of person. That’s exactly my point—this argument relies on the same kind of sweeping generalization that supposedly makes them so angry in the first place.

I personally know some people with homophobic views (and whether I fall into that category myself, I'll leave that up to your judgment 😬)—they might be loud with their words, but in reality, they are completely harmless and mild-mannered. There is no theory suggesting they pose any danger to anyone. So, if someone hates or despises them solely because of their prejudices and tastes, what exactly do we call that? 🤷

Look, we all make generalizations. We all judge someone from time to time, and all that jazz.
None of us are immune to it, regardless of how much you try to insist otherwise.

I might hold a grudge against an individual because they did something offensive to me, but I will certainly go out of my way to avoid an entire group, or that specific "type" of person, regardless of whether they've personally crossed me or not.
That’s my prerogative, just as it’s theirs to, say, want nothing to do with me.🤷

You hit the nail on the head. Thanks for saying that. 😬 🙂

So, we’ve established a certain symmetry here. I’ve always felt that things tend to balance out this way. There is even a symmetry in how both sides silently believe they hold the moral high ground, just based on different sets of rules. It all comes down to differing axioms and postulates—pretty fascinating, really. But enough of my monologue, LOL.

Alright, fine—maybe I overreacted a bit.

But look, let’s clear things up first: homophobia doesn't pose a direct threat to me. Even though I'm bisexual, I'm currently in a relationship with a man—and since I don't explicitly broadcast my sexual orientation to him, there's zero reason for him to assume I'm anything other than a good, traditional American woman. But here's where I stand:

Okay, you (not you specifically, but just some hypothetical person) are homophobic. That means you harbor hatred toward gay people. As long as you don't act on it or express it, that's your right.
I hate you (acting as the personification of the homophobe here). That's fine too, provided I don't act on it.

However, if you start discriminating against gay people—in any capacity whatsoever—then I will feel compelled to discriminate against you. Isn't that just basic fairness? 😁

And again, I’m not talking about YOU as a person on this forum—I mean your actual identity, name and all. I'm talking about the homophobe.
