I believe these things leave traces behind. It’s just a matter of ensuring we don't let them multiply too much. :-) But if they remain—they remain, regardless of our wishes.
I've become much more "realistic," but I don't think that's a bad thing. I used to be hyper-romantic :-) and completely unrealistic. Now, I actually stop to consider whether what a man tells me is the truth, rather than just taking everything at face value like I used to.
And that's a good thing. Some might say I've grown callous, but I prefer to say I've finally come to my senses.
I find it impossible to believe that a guy showing up in cheap clothes from a flea market calling himself an "entrepreneur," or a man who only texts me during business hours on weekdays—never on weekends or in the evenings—is somehow not married. 😁
So, decide for yourselves: have I become harsh, or just realistic?
