Hey there!

So, I was just grabbing coffee with a buddy of mine who’s on this diet—not even one prescribed by a doctor, just some random thing he's doing, and honestly, the guy is losing his mind 😢. He mentioned he's been drinking these GI-control juices. They come in those massive, ugly-looking plastic jugs you see at places like Walmart 😁, but supposedly they swap out the quick sugars for slow-burning carbs.
Supposedly it's a game changer because it keeps your blood sugar from crashing, which stops you from waking up in the middle of the night fighting off those sugar cravings 😍

Controlling those sudden food cravings can be an absolute nightmare—but look, if you just swap out half a pound of chocolate or cookies for half a pound of peaches or apples, you're winning. It’s all about volume; Zeluc needs to feel full, so why not fill up on low-calorie stuff instead?

Take a look at this incredible transformation from an American singer (Solange Almeida):

So, I’ve officially started a diet. To give you some context, my doctors found some fatty deposits on my liver—about 4 cm worth—so I’m taking this seriously. Over the last month, I’ve managed to drop about 15 pounds. I’m standing at roughly 5'11" now and weigh around 216 lbs, down from where I was at about 230-235 lbs.

For the past month, I’ve completely cut out Coca-Cola and all other sodas. Previously, my diet was pretty terrible: white bread, McDonald's, pizza, pastries, deli sandwiches, processed meats, salami, chips, and so on. On the bright side, I don't drink alcohol or smoke.

Nowadays, I'm sticking to things like cornbread, crackers, various whole-grain breads, spreads, soups, boiled meat, and grilled items (though I skip the pork). I drink plenty of water and pineapple juice. As far as deli meats go, I stick to turkey slices or chicken breast just a few times a week. I also eat tons of salads, yogurt—like Chobani or similar low-fat options—cereals, oatmeal, and stuff like that.

I have to say, it doesn't even feel like I'm eating less than I used to, yet the weight is melting off incredibly fast! That actually scares me a little—I'm worried it might come right back just as quickly if I'm not careful. Lately, I've also been getting a lot of walking in. The first week or two were a total struggle, but now, if I happen to overeat one day, I usually find it easy to hold myself back the next without obsessing over food. Generally speaking, everything is going well; there aren't any massive sacrifices, and I still manage to eat at least five times a day.

👍 You'll only gain it back if you slide right back into those old habits and that old way of eating. If you stick to this path, you're golden. No stress.

By the way—sodas are basically death. They're nothing but empty calories (pure sugar).

Nice work, Driver! 👍

Thanks, 🙂
What about hitting the gym? To be honest, my schedule is pretty packed, and while I enjoy going once I get into a rhythm, I had a bad experience before. I stopped training abruptly one time and ended up with stretch marks on my stomach that I just can't seem to get rid of now.

Regarding this specific diet, if you eat five smaller meals a day, it feels totally manageable. Also, I think it's important to indulge in something a little more substantial at least once a month—not enough to overdo it or feel sick, but just enough to satisfy the craving moderately.

Stopped what exactly? You get stretch marks because your skin can't keep up with sudden changes...

If you're going to be lifting weights, you've gotta fix your diet too. You definitely need more protein.

Lifting is actually great for losing weight, since muscle burns way more energy even when you're just sitting around compared to fat.

As long as the portions aren't huge or constant, you'll be fine.
