I tend to find myself doing this quite spontaneously while I'm just strolling through the aisles, and whenever things get even slightly crowded, I instinctively wrap my arms around my stomach,
my belly is still pretty small at this stage, but it's definitely there... honestly, those elderly folks over at Walmart drive me absolutely crazy,
the way they just shove their way through with those shopping carts, you'd think they were prepping for some kind of apocalypse, 🙂🙂

did anyone else in the store say anything?
whether she was crazy or not, I don't think she would have fared well

Nah, just her and me in there. Even the lady behind the deli counter froze up just watching... then once I moved away, she still had to listen to that woman ranting. Like, did you see how she was acting? Making comments about my size and pushing past me... unbelievable. Honestly, walking around town now, I've got this constant anxiety that some idiot's gonna charge at my stomach, and then I go into a shop and everything just goes south.

Honestly, I don't get worked up over much while I'm pregnant, but when I feel like someone's being disrespectful or crossing a line, it's game over. 😲
The adrenaline just hits me out of nowhere and I feel like I could go ten rounds in a boxing ring.
It’s probably just that primal instinct kicking in, you know? Like some built-in survival mode.

For real though... even just on a crowded subway or a city bus, if someone accidentally bumps my belly, I'm ready to throw hands immediately...

I swear, my cellulite actually developed its own damn cellulite during pregnancy 😬

I’m not so sure about that... I don't think you can see cellulite through cellulite. 😁

emazg said:This is absolutely TERRIBLE. I can't believe people actually act like this!!! It's just awful; reading stuff like this genuinely makes me sad.

Did she at least give her a fair chance by washing up first? Personally, I think I would have just pelted her on the spot with juice and deli meat.

If I were there, security would be dragging me out of the store by my calves. And don't even get me started on the language I'd use—I'd tear her apart right then and there. Since I'm such a big girl myself, I might as well use my size to make sure she hears every word while I'm at it. I'd definitely make sure to tell her to watch how she talks to people who are BIG!

It’s mostly passed for me now, but back during the second quarter,
I couldn't even walk into a Target without starting a fight,
everything just felt like a personal attack...

Now that I'm nearing the end of my pregnancy, I'm just trying to come to terms with it all because I realize there's no point in fighting it—I can't change anything significant anyway.
I'm just stressing myself out unnecessarily, as if I didn't have enough on my plate already.
At the end of the day, I have to have this baby—it's not like I have a choice. All I can really do is cross my fingers and hope everything turns out fine.

I’ve got two old ladies on my street who have been getting on my nerves for ages, and ever since I hit my thirties, it's only gotten worse...🙂...they’re just nosey busybodies who ambush you with a hundred questions because they want to stick their smelly noses into everything...plus, they go behind my back and gossip about me to my niece😲...anyway...for now, I'm playing it cool...I even pull out my phone and pretend I'm on an important call the second I spot them out on the sidewalk.🙂...but with my patience wearing thin and my hormones all over the place, I think the day is coming when I'll finally stand my ground and have a little chat with them...my way...🙂

Ladies, don't hate me, but you guys are absolutely killing me with these comments....😂🤣
about men and cellulite 👍😂

hollowmarlin49 said:I second this word for word. Honestly, today has been such a rough one since the second I woke up. My husband is driving me crazy because he doesn't get why I'm stressing about the house being spotless before guests arrive, and then he calls me out on it and I end up sobbing like a total mess. Like, I tell him the kids shouldn't come over if the carpets aren't even cleaned, and he’s just like, "Babe, they won't even notice for the first few weeks" 😕 Seriously, wtf?!?!?! But yeah, I'm mostly just getting on my own nerves...

hollowmarlin49 said:They’re so laid back, it makes me want to roll him up in one of those rugs and toss him down the stairs. I just told mine, either you scrub this stuff before the weekend or it's going straight to the curb, whatever works for you ☕ Gonna go grab some fruit and try to chill, haven't even eaten today because I'm so worked up.

Sarah Johnson7 said:This thread always puts me in a certain mood. Sure, there are plenty of nasty stories here, but honestly, it’s just a relief to see I’m not the only one dealing with bad experiences and being a little high-strung...

That part about husbands sitting in waiting rooms 🙏 🙏 is the absolute TRUTH!!! And I totally agree with the point that their wives share the blame too. I've basically concluded that women can be their own worst enemies; I see so many of you irritating other women who seem to have way less empathy than you'd actually expect from a human being.
Yesterday, some young girl was so incredibly rude, just cutting right in front of me for a bathroom stall that I was left speechless. I even mentioned to my husband, "Well, maybe she'll be pregnant one day and end up in the same boat," and he just bluntly snapped back, loud enough for people to hear, "She's such a mess, she probably won't." I ended up feeling more embarrassed for her than she was 🙂

hollowmarlin49 said:I honestly can't believe how much the cellulite caught me off guard during pregnancy. I’ve always been a curvy girl and never really had an issue—maybe just a tiny bit on my eyelids if I’m being picky—so I figured, hey, at least I won't have to stress about it once the baby arrives, right? Yeah, right. It can always get way worse 😲 Now my legs look like two bumpy tree trunks... they're all swollen and just covered in this crap, totally lost their shape 🙂

So, I had this little win today—I actually got caught by a transit officer on the subway, but instead of slapping me with a ticket, she just let it slide! She told me to just take the money and put it toward my baby, and then, of course, she ended up giving me the whole life story about her family 😁

Wild... usually those officers with the heavy satchels don't mess around at all 😉 plus, if we let everyone ride for free, the city budget would just tank 🥳...

Check out this absolute gem of a story...

So, I’m at Walmart today, standing in line at the checkout. The place was absolutely slammed—probably because of the holiday tomorrow or something.
I head over to the express lane (you know, where pregnant ladies and people with disabilities usually get priority). I hop in line, and there are about eight people ahead of me...
Then, when we finally get down to the two women right in front of me, one of them actually turns around, looks me dead in the eye, and goes, "Would you mind if my coworker jumps ahead of you?" And then she starts waving her hand and calling her over like it's totally fine... 😲😲😲

Seriously, tell me—who’s the crazy one here??? I just stared at her, rolled my eyes, and stayed quiet (honestly, I was just stunned). I'm thinking, lady, if you had even an ounce of manners, you’d be letting *me* go ahead of *you*. But no, she has the nerve to ask me to let her friend cut the line. 🙂

Just more proof of that legendary "sisterhood" in action. :2up:

I mean, I knew they were tough, which is why I was so caught off guard... I already felt my wallet $70 slipping out of my pocket

Look, it's only like a ten-minute drive from the hospital back to my neighborhood, so I figured, hey, what's the worst that could happen? Then I totally zoned out and didn't even notice them until I was already stepping off

Nicholas Doyle91, honestly, you should have just told that lady right then and there to let her colleague take her place in the delivery room instead... 😠
..I mean, what is it with women, really? You’d think at the very least you could expect some level of basic solidarity from them, you know? Like they actually get what you're going through... I truly believe that... 🙄

Women are honestly their own worst enemies.
So, I’m on the bus yesterday, right? Every single old lady in the place turns her head away from me just so they don't have to feel obligated to get up.
Then, finally, I manage to snag a seat. But before I can even breathe, this one grandma with a cane comes barreling over and plants herself right next to me.
I didn't even stand up. I was just sitting there, waiting for someone to start complaining so I could drop the bomb: "I'm pregnant! So what's your excuse for lying about being tired and hogging the seat?" Honestly, I was lowkey ready for a fight. 😍
hollowmarlin49...man, that sounds brutal. If it were me, I'd shove her in a Walmart freezer next to the deli meats and let her deal with the consequences.

edit: it is driving me insane—I am literally hitting my phone every 15 minutes during the day and at least four times a night.
Is this even normal?

Man, I am seriously shook 😲😲😲 reading this stuff—I can’t believe how some people act 🙄

What really gets to me is the total lack of sleep—I’m tossing and turning all night because I either have to pee constantly, I'm parched, or the heartburn is just absolutely killing me... I don't even know anymore, I feel like a literal zombie in the morning. Meanwhile, my little one sleeps through the entire night without a single peep—but then during the day, she starts counting all my organs and ribs just to make sure everything is still where it belongs so nothing accidentally went missing while she was napping 😁

You won't believe what happened to me on the subway yesterday. Some lady actually waved me over and offered me her seat! Everyone else standing near me just stared through the window, totally stunned. I was only traveling one stop, and since I was with my husband—who was basically acting as my personal bodyguard to make sure no one bumped into me—I didn't end up taking it, but man, what a lovely surprise!

rustybison19, I see you're about 12 weeks along. Honestly, it feels like you're still stuck in that awkward phase where people just stare at you, trying to figure out if it's actually a baby bump or if you just had a really heavy lunch at Cheesecake Factory. 😉I mean, it’s not like anyone would even realize you're pregnant if they weren't looking for it.
Now that I’ve been through this both with and without being pregnant, I catch myself wondering how many young women were actually expecting while standing next to me—women I probably wouldn't have even offered a seat to because, frankly, I just didn't get the hint during those early months.

In my case, nobody even thought to offer me a seat until I was about seven months along. My bump wasn't exactly obvious at first, especially since I was layering up with heavy winter coats or just wearing baggy dresses. Nowadays, people are pretty consistent about asking if I want to sit down. But the truth is, I actually needed a seat way more during the first trimester because of the constant nausea and that total lack of energy. I eventually learned to just be upfront and say, "Excuse me, I’m feeling a bit unwell, would it be alright if I sat down?" I realized I can't exactly expect every random passenger on a flight to look at me and immediately know what's going on.

Actually, these days I don't even want to sit down that much, mostly because getting back up becomes such a massive chore. 🙂

I get it. Most of the time I just assume they're being polite old ladies who don't want to offend me by thinking, "maybe she's just gaining weight..."
But I already mentioned this—I've always had curves, and now that they've combined with the bump, I definitely look much further along than I am. Plus, yesterday I was literally wearing a maternity shirt with a baby print on it, holding medical results, and clutching my prenatal folder because I'd just come from an appointment and wanted to read the doctor's notes.
So, there was zero chance of confusion yesterday. It was just some bitter old ladies who, let's be real, have nothing better to do than wander around looking for trouble in the middle of a Tuesday afternoon.

Nobody’s ever cut me in line before. All my life, I’ve been the one stepping aside to let pregnant women go first, but that ends now. From here on out, I’m playing dirty. No more being nice. If you act like a jerk to me, expect the same in return... see how that works out for you...
