Honestly, I didn't notice any blushing. Probably didn't happen.

I'm not even gonna get worked up over it, I'm way too hungry 😁 I've got some veggie soup and bolognese waiting for me 😬>

neonrider40 said:So I was at the clinic in Chicago today for an OGTT test. At the front desk, the lady tells me to just toss my referral slip into the little bin on the side. No big deal, right? So I do it. Right behind me, three more pregnant women show up, and she gives them all the exact same instruction. The waiting room is absolutely packed—not a single person thinks to move so we can actually sit down. We’re just standing there for like half an hour until this one guy, whose wife is also pregnant, starts getting heated at the counter because nobody is calling us up. He’s like, "Hey, shouldn't we have priority here?" And this woman has the nerve to look him dead in the eye and lie, saying, "Oh, your paperwork is already inside, they'll call you when they're ready." Like, seriously? Total lie. So I stepped up and told her straight out, "Actually, no, our papers are still sitting right here in this box." She just went dead silent. Then, thinking I couldn't hear her because I'd stepped aside, she turns to the other girl working the desk and starts bitching, "God, these pregnant women... they can't wait five minutes, always acting like it's an emergency because they gotta pee or they feel sick..." Unbelievable. Two women just sitting there gossiping about it while the room is so crowded you can barely breathe. Just awful.
Kate Jackson said:I really hope you took a good look at her before she freezes up—honestly, I always assumed men would be more attracted to women before they get pregnant.
As for what’s getting on my nerves lately, I am absolutely fed up with how every single person I tell about my pregnancy immediately jumps down my throat with comments like, "Oh my gosh, don't gain too much weight, you're already looking heavier since you got pregnant." Right now, I weigh 152 pounds at 5'6"—I'm certainly not some stick figure, but seriously, nobody needs to be making those kinds of remarks to me. 😳
Kate Jackson said:😍Thanks, sweetie, you really made my day 😉 As long as they're happy with the new curves, I don't care who's looking... we can always just take them off later anyway 🙂
Michael Barrett11 said:I honestly don't see the point in lying, especially when the person you're deceiving already knows the truth—kind of like that situation with your mother-in-law...
but I have to hand it to you for that response!
Edward Williams8 said:Tina, it really all comes down to how you present things... my mother-in-law is absolutely ridiculous when it comes to this. She insists that nobody understands her, claiming she’s the perfect mother, the ultimate mother-in-law, a tireless worker, a saint, and so on. But anyone who has stepped foot in her house or seen her sons before they moved out sees right through it... it's laughable to me. And poor thing gets lost in her own web sometimes. The other day, she ran into a friend of mine whose husband did some tiling work for us. We paid him in full, but the friend doesn't know that. So, she tells my mother-in-law: "Oh, I just had my son deliver some tiles to the house, you know, they arrived much closer than they should have..." but we aren't even bothered by it!!!
Michael Miller8 said:The other day at the grocery store, an elderly woman standing behind me in line reached out and—out of nowhere—stroked my belly. 😲😲😲
I muttered, "Good grief, what do you think you're doing?" and she immediately started apologizing profusely, insisting I shouldn't be angry because it wasn't some kind of curse, just a reflex.
What on earth is she talking about? A curse? She's lost it. 😲
I was genuinely stunned.
Later, while waiting in line again, a man let me cut ahead of him. I told him thank you, which would actually be appreciated if people weren't so selfish; usually, everyone acts like they’re blind to avoid moving. Instead, he just stood there counting his change like a total idiot. Then he looks at me and says, "Ma'am, if I had known you were just grabbing yogurt, I would have let you go sooner so you wouldn't have to wait." 😁
He was a decent enough guy.
Anyway, I'm 39 weeks pregnant, and my bump is impossible to miss. Some of the women at the store act like I'm just some overweight person and refuse to move out of the way, leaving me to struggle on my own.
Sam White62 said:Well, yeah, you have to figure it out. Personally, my strategy is usually to head STRAIGHT to the register (say, at Walmart or Kroger, using the express lane for pregnant women or people with disabilities) and just ask the cashier, "Excuse me, can I go ahead?" If she glares at me, well, she's not the first one to do it. ☕ Or if someone in line tries to protest—and none of them are actually disabled or pregnant—well, too bad. Ugh.
In those smaller corner stores, people usually just react on their own... or I just won't even bother going in if I see a line stretching from 1.2 miles....
