fadedscout2 said:🙏 Good for you, seriously... I actually get so embarrassed when people are sweet enough to let me cut in front of them🙄 and I could never be as bold as you are 🙏

The other day this guy actually shoved past me in a pharmacy, even though he was right in front of me and there were two women ahead of him (an older lady and a young girl)..
And man, I feel so awkward, like when I'm waiting in line at the grocery store for some bread.. I'd probably be buying a whole bunch of stuff, and then some lady will call me up from further back in the line and I'll only say one thing because I just can't stand the idea of holding up the entire queue after she was kind enough to let me go first... 🤦

Give me a break! 😲 You'll have plenty of time to wait in lines later in life—assuming your joints don't start aching or your feet don't swell just because you stood there for 20 minutes...
Now is the time to let them move you along. 👍

I honestly don't even know what to say anymore... it’s just constant, seriously, people are always, always asking me if I'm about to pop or if I've started counting down the days until the baby arrives! 😕
I mean, why on earth am I soooooo big?! 🤣

Yeah, same here—I'm at 28 weeks. 🙄

It’s getting annoying, though—bending over my belly is becoming a massive chore... guess I won't be doing my own pedicure anytime soon. 🤣

I was absolutely livid because everyone spent my entire pregnancy nagging me about how tiny my bump looked. They kept asking if I was even going to deliver anything other than a kitten! Then, out pops this baby weighing 8.4 pounds and measuring 22 inches long...

The second thing is that I went nine days overdue, and for those nine straight days, everyone was breathing down my neck. "Any news? Did you have the baby yet? How haven't you gone into labor? What did the doctor say?"
I was honestly about to snap at them, so I told everyone planning on having a second kid that I’d personally schedule their due date for next month just to shut them up.

I am absolutely drowning in questions here:
What did you guys end up getting for the baby?
Is everything already bought and packed?
...meanwhile, I’ve got exactly three onesies and three pairs of tiny socks to show for it.
When are you all planning to actually shop?
...well, duh—why do you think that's all I have?

Last night, some guy I consider a complete moron tried to talk me into skipping the whole naming process in a truly idiotic
attempt to "explain" to me why my desire to pick a perfect name for my child is pointless.
His logic? Just pick anything, because he's a boy, and nobody ever calls boys by their actual names anyway—just nicknames.
And get this... he thinks there's no point even trying since everyone will just call him by his last name because it's short and recognizable.
....🙄 Oh, brilliant! Why stop there, you idiot? Maybe my kid shouldn't have a name at all. What's the point?

Man, it seriously gets on my nerves how everyone acts like such a drama queen... constant "be careful," "don't get stressed," blah blah blah. Then they hit me up with all this mindless gossip about who said what, expecting me to play therapist when they don't even want advice, just an audience. Honestly, I'm over it... I've got enough on my own plate, and you guys are collectively driving me crazy... 😠😠😠

So, my boyfriend's grandmother actually asked me if I was gaining weight. 😲 Specifically, she asked if I was pregnant.

In her local dialect (to quote her): "Are you just soft and doughy?" 😲 It felt like she was treating me like some little piglet instead of an actual adult woman.

I guess only people from certain parts of the Midwest would truly get how insulting that feels.

Michael Barrett11, she just asked if you were pregnant the only way she knows how—which was clearly in some thick regional dialect. Is there any other way to ask that in her neck of the woods? I don't think so. Just ignore her, 🙂

It also drives me absolutely insane when people constantly ask me when I’m finally going to gain weight (especially my aunts) 🙂 I started at around 117 lbs, and now, after being up 18 plus 5, I'm sitting at 115 lbs. I eat normally, I work, I shower, I walk the dog almost every single day... what do they expect, a miracle?? 😕

My mom actually cornered me today about why I’m not working from home yet. She basically lectured me on how it’s my responsibility to stay productive because, apparently, the job market is just too brutal right now and I need to be giving it my absolute all.
It honestly got under my skin so much that I ended up tossing a few things around the house just to vent some of that frustration.
I’m about 30 days out from my due date, and after dealing with some recent pregnancy complications, it’s been pretty disheartening. Not one single person at the firm even reached out to say "congratulations" or ask how I was doing; instead, it’s just an endless stream of emails telling me to get this done or finish that. Look, I told them months ago that I could handle the specialized stuff no one else can, but that was before everything went sideways and I had to deal with medical issues. They really should have trained someone else to handle my small tasks by now—it’s not like I’m a nuclear physicist or anything.
Then, my mom drops by, and after just a couple of minutes of casual small talk, she pivots straight to work talk.
To top it all off, she managed to make me feel guilty for even being on maternity leave!

Sarah Harris5 said:Honestly, nothing gets under my skin faster than pregnant women who act like they aren't even carrying a human being. They’re out here smoking, drinking way too much, riding motorcycles, hitting up tanning salons, and rocking massive stilettos right up until the delivery room like, "Oh, this isn't happening." Then they wait until the last second to take off their jewelry and wonder why the jeweler can't resize everything instantly, or they start making crazy plans about not taking the baby home in an Uber or whatever. It’s wild because there are so many women out there struggling just to conceive, yet these ones are out here gambling with it every single day!!
Ugh, I just had to vent somewhere.

😉
I’m a cyclist myself, but I find people who smoke or wear ridiculous high heels to the office just as aggravating.
As for pregnancy, it's the women who play the victim and just check out entirely that get on my nerves—and I’m not talking about those who actually need bed rest due to medical complications.
At the end of the day, swinging too far in either direction is never a healthy way to live.

Came home yesterday from my dad’s farm, hopped on the bus, and man, my back was absolutely killing me. I was already losing it because he didn't get his insurance paperwork—some thieves raided his place and took everything, so now he's just stuck... Anyway, I see an empty seat and start heading toward it, but this little brat lunges forward and sits right in front of my face. And there's another mini hooligan sitting behind her, too. They just stare at me and laugh. My blood pressure was hitting the ceiling... I'm telling myself, "just chill, don't make a scene." But honestly? I was so pissed I wanted to grab them both by the collar and just lose it... 😠 I told my husband, if we fail as parents and raise kids like "this," I'm gonna whip myself with a belt before I even touch him.

Ha, ha... I thought the name Alegro was fantastic, but then the commentary started... "you need to pick an American name," or "what kind of nickname will she use?" blah, blah, blah. They even told me they passed on that name before. So, they went with Leona—which, let’s be honest, feels incredibly bland and hollow. Whatever. If anyone asks, I'll just tell them her name is Anna and leave it at that. She'll be called whatever I decide, period.

We finally picked a name, but we made a pact to keep it a total secret until the little one is actually born... 😉
It's the best way to dodge all those unnecessary arguments! 🤣
And let's be real, the baby is going to be named exactly what you two decide👍 so please don't stress about what everyone else has to say... if you love it, go for it! There will always be people rolling their eyes regardless, but honestly, it's not worth the headache 😁

And what really got under my skin was that whole routine... "Are you still working? How much longer do you think you'll be at it? You need to take a break," blah, blah, blah. As if I'm not resting just fine at home. And then it's the same old story all over again: what else could she possibly be doing???!! Her???!!!

🤣🤣🤣 😉

....as if. Back when I was unemployed, I used to get comments just like this—stuff like, "Oh, you're home? Well, you could have found a job and worked properly until August."
☕

I finally called it quits this week. It's the 27th now, but honestly, seeing how people reacted at the office makes me regret not walking out the second I got my bonus. I caught an email the manager sent to corporate—he basically wrote, "I thought they'd last at least through September, but oh well." 🙂🙂
Are you kidding me? Dealing with nausea and pain while working a high-stress customer service desk? Yeah, right. I handed in my business card and left them to deal with the fallout themselves...

I’m currently at the 19-week mark, and honestly, I think I can hang on for another couple of months or so... though I’m counting down the seconds until I finally get out of here 🙂....By then, I should have my three weeks of vacation plus those 45 days of maternity leave waiting for me. Yay me. 🤣
I just really hope everything goes smoothly and I don't end up dealing with any sudden medical complications before I can actually reach that finish line.

Here’s what caught me off guard today—and honestly, it wasn't exactly a pleasant surprise.

I headed in for my blood work this morning, arriving at the clinic right at 7:05 AM, only to find the waiting room already packed. I walked up to the reception desk and politely asked the nurse if she could perhaps process me first; I explained that I wasn't there for any major procedures or donating blood for pregnant women, just needed a few vials drawn. I even showed her the orders clearly marked for pregnancy monitoring, but she just gave me this blank look and told me I had to wait in line like everyone else.😠 I mean, if they have signs posted saying pregnant patients get priority, what is the point of having them?😠 I ended up sitting there for 45 minutes. It wasn't that I couldn't handle the wait, but I was really trying to avoid dealing with dizziness or nausea on an empty stomach.

I’ve dealt with this frustration myself. I showed up for blood work only to be told I couldn't get it done. Apparently, they only schedule prenatal labs on the first and third Wednesday of the month between 8:00 and 9:00 AM. Fine. But when I returned for my second attempt, the waiting room was packed, including several other pregnant women, so we were stuck waiting. That isn't even the main issue—I feel perfectly fine—it’s more about the principle. Sitting there in a crowded room full of people who might actually be seriously ill feels like an unnecessary risk just to pick up a lab result.

Looks like the whole "pregnancy perk" thing is officially dead. All those loud-mouthed activists shouting about special treatment? Total joke... 👎 Everywhere I turn, I'm just waiting for someone to give me the same look or the same pass they used to give when I actually had a bump. 😛
