Douglas Booth22 said:I’ve dealt with this frustration myself. I showed up for blood work only to be told I couldn't get it done. Apparently, they only schedule prenatal labs on the first and third Wednesday of the month between 8:00 and 9:00 AM. Fine. But when I returned for my second attempt, the waiting room was packed, including several other pregnant women, so we were stuck waiting. That isn't even the main issue—I feel perfectly fine—it’s more about the principle. Sitting there in a crowded room full of people who might actually be seriously ill feels like an unnecessary risk just to pick up a lab result.

What kind of policy is that even supposed to be?? 😕
It’s just ridiculous! I’ve never heard anything like it before...

Lately, there's just really, really little that actually gets under my skin.. 🤣I've become so incredibly chill about everything, but the one thing that absolutely sends my blood pressure through the roof is when people insist on being rude and saying things like, "Wow, you've gotten so big!" or "Look how much weight you've put on!" whenever they see me 😠I just seriously cannot stomach that kind of attitude... 😳

It’s actually pretty ridiculous how they schedule things—pregnant women have these specific windows where they can get bloodwork done, while everyone else is free to come in whenever they want! It drives me absolutely insane. Why on earth don't they just state that those dates are reserved EXCLUSIVELY FOR PREGNANT PATIENTS, rather than implying those are the only days pregnant patients are allowed? Their scheduling logic is completely backwards!

Honestly, it's terrible. Where even is this supposed to be happening?!!?

I walk into the Runyan clinic for bloodwork, head straight to the desk, hand over my insurance card, and just bark: "Morning, nurse—pregnant woman here for blood and urine!"
I even pat my stomach just to make sure nobody tries to cut in front of me. 🤣

I mean, what's the issue? I assume they're obsessed with following Medicare guidelines that say disabled people and pregnant women get priority regardless of the line. Plus, most labs in these local clinics are privately run, and they probably don't want any headaches from Medicare... at least, that's how I see it. 😁

So—just demand what you're entitled to!

Just so I don't look like I'm always looking for a fight—I almost burst into tears today at a small Walmart because they didn't have a dedicated lane for pregnant women. The line was 1.9 miles, and I felt awful cutting ahead of everyone... so I waited... while dealing with cramps... and aching legs... and just feeling miserable... 😢🙄
But there wasn't a special lane, so... 😢 what could I do?.....

So, picture this: I’m at the local hospital for a transfusion appointment... and I end up sitting there for two and a half hours just waiting to have a single tube of blood drawn for an IAT test! To make matters worse, they told me they can only handle these on Wednesdays. There was this huge crowd of pregnant women and other patients all complaining about the backlog, and the nurse actually had the nerve to tell everyone they should just pick a different day next time since Wednesday is so busy. Meanwhile, right there on the entrance door, it clearly states: PREGNANT PATIENTS SEEN WEDNESDAYS ONLY.
It’s enough to drive you absolutely insane!

The only place around here with a dedicated checkout lane for pregnant women and people with disabilities is the Walmart over by the Tower, so I’m gearing up for a run to the store since my fridge is looking pretty pathetic right now.
It’s honestly wild how many people crowd that specific register. Even though I’m clearly showing, they still try to push right past me—it’s like a free-for-all. Honestly, what’s the point of being cautious if people act like this? I might just grab an umbrella and start swinging it at people's ribs. God, I’m already worked up and I haven't even stepped out of my apartment yet.

Regarding blood donation—they’ve never even asked me to donate back here in San Diego because I’ve been drinking too much.🤷

Some lady from my office—she’s in her late 40s—calls me "little one" and goes, "I heard you haven't gained much weight, you shouldn't let that happen, what's going to happen to the baby?" I was just like, wtf... 😕 I told her the baby is already half a kilo over the average. Then she asks if it's a boy or a girl. I said boy, and she goes, "Ohhh, it would have been better if it were a girl first." 🤦 Honestly, I completely forgot why I felt so nauseous about going into work today. 🙄

Do they actually let you cut in line? No one’s ever let me... they just stare and then turn their backs, which is awkward because I can't exactly push through without the whole line having to move first anyway.😢

At Walmart, there’s a register marked with baby strollers and wheelchairs—I assume that means "priority for moms and disabled folks." Honestly, though, I’ve yet to see that register actually open.😠

It really bugs me... I was at the doctor's office just to grab a urine sample kit, and instead of letting me skip ahead, some woman just shoved right past me without a second thought.😲

We'll see how things go when it's time for my blood donation at the local hospital... since I'm a regular donor, the nurses already told me to just check in with them directly and that I have absolute priority. We'll see about that.😬

And all that "you should do this, take these vitamins, try this supplement, why don't you do it this way" talk... it just goes in one ear and out the other. Ooooommmm: I refuse to let it get under my skin.😂

The worst part is when there isn't even a sign posted—you know, nothing indicating priority for pregnant women or people with disabilities. In those cases, everyone just looks away—acting like they're suddenly blind or deaf or something.😢

BUT—in the spots where it's clearly marked? You should just march right up to the counter😁 without a shred of hesitation.

So I popped into this local pharmacy earlier today and noticed they were stocking Chicco products, so I figured I’d just go ahead and ask if they happened to carry any pads too, since I see everyone raving about them all the time 😍, and the guy behind the counter looks at me like I have two heads and goes, "What kind of pads? You mean nursing pads?" 😕 Like, seriously? I had to tell him, "No, I mean standard feminine hygiene pads!" (I was definitely being extra loud just to make sure he actually understood what I was talking about 😁)
Then he gets all snappy and rude with me, just bluntly saying, "No, we don't have those!" So naturally, I asked, "Well, could you maybe order some in for me?" And he just shouts "NO!" right in my face and glares at me like I'm some kind of criminal... 🤷
🙄 Honestly, I was being perfectly pleasant to him, but he starts raising his voice and staring me down like I just walked up and asked him to smuggle ten grams of cocaine into the building 🙄, rather than just asking for a simple pack of pads..... 🙂

- Driving all the way to the clinic just to pick up test results or get blood drawn—the whole process feels like such a massive waste of time.
- Those rude receptionists at the clinic and hospital. They’re always like, "Appointments were booked yesterday... I can get you in next month," meanwhile I'm already in my ninth month!
- The lines and the crowds hitting the clinics at 5 AM, plus nobody even thinks to offer a seat to a pregnant woman.
- All this mess happening right in the middle of a "swine flu epidemic."
- Those days where I can't feel the baby moving, and then there's that stupid "kick counting" nonsense.
- "unknown😲" - "I smoke.☕"
- People who just stare daggers at me on the street.
- The biggest shock was when my water broke two weeks before my due date. Of course, I had no clue what was happening, so I didn't even make it to the hospital for two whole days.

My back is absolutely killing me, arrrrrgh!!!!!!! I can’t even get a batch of chili ready without having to take three 15-minute breaks just to sit down, and that’s all BEFORE I even get the pot on the stove!

My first time was a complete disaster, but I’ve learned my lesson. Now, I make sure to clear my throat loud enough so that even the older folks can hear me when I say, "just a second," before I push the stroller forward to see who's actually moving and who's just standing in the way. 😂😂
Seriously, I’m only about two months along—fingers crossed—and the pain is already hitting me.
I just popped into the Target over in North Hills to grab a quick cone, so I headed straight for the self-checkout lane to save some time. Honestly, I couldn't care less about the rest of the aisles. So, I'm just sitting there, waiting around for someone to actually acknowledge my existence.🙂

😠
Honestly, what gets under my skin the most are my coworkers in their late fifties working in this field—which, let's face it, is about 99% of the people here...
It’s just constant unsolicited advice, moralizing, acting like my amateur therapist, and all those "helpful" tips that nobody actually asked for...🙄

The absolute worst part is when they sit there trying to "predict" when I should take sick leave... or basically when I should duck out early... Like, excuse me? What is even that business of yours?...😠 None of them could actually replace me (they'd have to wait for an official HR opening and then good luck to them), and objectively speaking, they couldn't care less whether I head out right this second or wait a week before my maternity leave kicks in... But they still insist on sitting there and weighing in with their opinions.😕

I am losing my mind
- why does this pregnancy feel like a freaking eternity—nine months is way too long!!!
- I actually thought I was hitting the "home stretch" and that the end was finally in sight,
but then I realized today that I still have exactly 30😲 days until my due date... I CANNOT DO THIS ANYMORE!!!
- everyone else is out there living their lives while I’ve been stuck dealing with pressure sores for over two months now, just bored to absolute death
- there isn't even a new shop opening up in town—I've already hit every single store in the area a million times and I have nowhere left to walk
- when I get driven crazy by the boredom and lack of things to do, I start causing chaos around the house because I can't help myself... I need to grab something and be productive 🙄 otherwise I am going to explode
- because I'm so bored, I just keep eating, which only makes the heartburn worse... and it hurts😢
- and then there's everyone giving me the same old advice: "Get some sleep, you won't be able to later." 🙄 Seriously? What am I supposed to be tired from? I'm not doing anything except lying around or shuffling through the house!

I’ve been dealing with this constant tingling sensation in my hands and feet 😠 😠
It’s making it nearly impossible to get any decent rest at night because whenever I try to shift my position, it takes me about fifteen minutes just to turn over, which inevitably wakes me right back up, and that cycle just repeats itself all through the night 😠

This whole sleep thing is driving me absolutely insane. Honestly, I haven't had a decent night's rest since I found out I was pregnant, so hearing this nonsense just makes my blood boil.🙂
It’s almost as if I wouldn't be able to sleep through the labor and then suddenly wake up ready to give birth.

Thought I'd jump in here too😍

I'm pregnant for the third time now, and honestly, every single time it’s been the same thing... people I know (and sometimes even strangers) just reach out to rub my belly😕... and I really can't stand it.😠.....
I don't know why, it just bugs me...🤷

It was absolutely mortifying for me as well.

Especially when they go as far as placing both hands on your belly and starting to coo at the baby, making those little "cooing" noises. 😠
