Forget "good" or "bad" karma—that's old school. I prefer thinking in terms of abundance vs. scarcity. Whether you're loaded or broke, or whether you're surrounded by love or raised in a house full of hate, we’re all basically just learning the same lessons, just hitting different waypoints based on what we've been through before.
The ultimate spiritual endgame? Breaking free from karma altogether so we can level up our consciousness and move onto higher planes of existence.
And if you're wondering how to actually pull that off, Don Cactus has the roadmap:

1. As long as we're obsessing over the results of what we do, we're just stacking more karma on ourselves. We think we know who we are, so we act accordingly—but the outcome isn't ours to claim. That belongs to God.
2. Don't think "doing nothing" is a loophole. You still face consequences for inaction just as much as action. That whole "I'll just stay out of it" attitude won't save you from karma. Passivity is still a choice.
3. Leveling up means realizing we aren't in control of anything; instead, we let God guide us. Our job is to serve, not to play boss—because newsflash: nobody is the boss of anything. Sure, we might control our dog, but we're being controlled by our boss at work, our spouse, or our in-laws... and they're being controlled by someone else, and so on, forever. We didn't pick our parents or the country we were born in, and our kids don't get to pick either.
4. God isn't going to answer prayers for a jackpot at a Vegas casino or a sudden cure for an illness. If that happens, call it a coincidence. What God *does* answer are prayers for guidance on how to act right—if you're actually sincere about asking. Once we truly internalize that I AM love and I AM abundance (which, let's be real, is incredibly hard), we won't need anything else.
5. Most people we meet in this life are destined to cross paths again in future ones. Those who pushed us around? Well, we'll eventually settle the score, and vice versa. Forgiveness is the necessary leap to jump past karma, but here's the trick: you have to forgive yourself first. Thank yourself for that forgiveness, and *then* you can extend it to others.

Honestly, helping one person see through these illusions is worth way more than feeding a hundred hungry people halfway across the world. The wisdom you plant in a soul stays there forever—it's worth more than the 70 or 80 years we spend living this incarnation. If I can help even one person on this forum find some clarity, my life is totally fulfilled.

Anyway, that's the gist of it. 👍

I have to admit, I'm a bit confused...

You claim that if you enlighten even one person on this forum, your life is fulfilled.

Yet, you attach yourself to the results of your actions...

And according to your first point, as long as we are tied to the outcomes, we are just building more karma.

Does that mean you are sacrificing your own enlightenment just to enlighten others through your actions?

Or have you simply taken yourself far too seriously? 🤷

Listen, not being attached to the outcome doesn't mean I can't feel good when things go right. Not at all! Being totally detached or indifferent is a bad move. The point is—I shouldn't be obsessing over exactly how things play out or waiting around for a specific result, but hey, there's nothing wrong with feeling satisfied when you nail something. 😉

@James Kelly9—can you give me a list of what you’re reading lately?

We seem to be on the same wavelength, but I really don't feel like typing out a whole bibliography here. People are just too lazy to actually read, honestly. You try to lay out the truth and they just spit on you for it. So, I usually steer clear of those topics... but this one caught my eye.

I suspect there are plenty more principles out there, but at the end of the day, the most important thing is that a person loves God more than anything else in this world. Everything starts and ends right there.

Perhaps if she replaced the word "truth" with "my own little fantasy" or "my imagination," she might avoid all that vitriol. Who knows. 🤷

If people prioritized loving one another above all else, rather than chasing some imaginary "friend," the world would be a much better place.

In your previous post, you linked your life's fulfillment directly to whether or not you successfully enlighten another forum member. This isn't just about passing satisfaction.

"If I can enlighten even one forum member, my life is fulfilled."

Thank you. You indirectly gave me the answer I needed, and everything is much clearer now.

jademarlin26 I can't even begin to tell you where to start with this one. It’s just... what is it with people lately? Always talking, always making noise, but does anyone actually listen? I doubt it. Probably not. Everything feels like it's moving too fast and yet nothing ever changes. You look around and it's all just noise. Anyway, what was I saying? Right. This whole thing. Just another day in the life, I guess. What do you think? Is it just me, or is everything getting weirder?
Maybe if people just swapped out the word "truth" for "my own little fantasy" or "just my daydreaming," they wouldn't be spitting venom at everyone all the time. Who knows? Maybe that would change things. 🤷

You think so? Honestly, I can already see the "experts" lining up, ready to complain that it doesn't suit their precious sensibilities. There’s always someone, isn't there? Someone who just can't stand anything being done differently.😍
What if someone actually loved another person more than anything else in this world? Just... what if? It’s a heavy thought, isn't it? Most people spend their lives chasing shadows, running from themselves, or getting tangled up in the shallow end of everything. But then you wonder about that one extreme. That absolute, total devotion where nothing else—not money, not status, not even your own survival—matters anymore. Is that even possible in a place like this? Or is it just something we tell ourselves to make the loneliness feel less permanent? I don't know. Maybe it's beautiful. Or maybe it's just another way to break your own heart. And honestly? Instead of some imaginary "friend" popping up out of nowhere... everyone would just be better off. Wouldn't they?

Never! That’s exactly where all the sickness starts.

To borrow a thought from St. Francis: the only eyes of God you’ll ever see in this life are the eyes of your neighbor. The only hands of God you can actually touch are the hands of those around you.

It sounds to me like you two are arguing different sides of the same coin; it might just be a simple misunderstanding.

You could put it this way: if we all respected and loved God in our fellow man as much as we do in ourselves, things would look a lot different around here.

Why is indifference such a bad thing? Since when does a hammer take pride in what the carpenter builds?

Aren't you getting a little carried away with those hospital stories?

Your biggest life lesson is learning how to stop being so narrow-minded and dogmatic.

What does the local karma expert have to say about that? Is it that obvious?

I already knew all of this before I even picked up his book, let alone anything else.

I’m not being dogmatic; I’m just stating facts. They exist. If someone wants to accept them and actually start changing, fine. If not, they can live however they want, but they'll eventually realize—far too late—that they missed the boat. All because they were too cocky to admit they were wrong.

And who exactly here is the expert?😕

Take your advice and give it to yourself. As for the expert, I assume you mean the person who started this thread...

Do you realize this is exactly what any fanatic spits out the moment someone questions their religion? Is that why you laugh when people threaten you with hell?...😉

What are you even talking about? What fanatic? What religion? I have no idea what you're on about. I'm not some zealot, and I don't follow any specific faith, so this makes zero sense to me.
Who am I laughing at?? Where did I even say that? Is someone threatening *me*? What is wrong with you? 🤷

Reiki? What are you even talking about? Seriously, I can't follow your logic at all.
Are you actually mocking me??
