Seriously though, where are you, Angelina Jolie? You aren't alone—we've all got your back!!!🙂🙂🙂🙂

She is a woman, not a man..
ooooooooooooooooopppssssssssssssss🙄:roll eyes:🙄

Rebecca Bennett41 said:a, could you perhaps elaborate on that a bit more?
I am curious as to how exactly you arrived at this particular stage of the process.
Honestly, I spent about five or six years just burying my head in the sand. I always knew deep down, but as long as I could just ignore the reality of it, I did. Someone put it perfectly once: it’s just a massive amount of built-up resentment finally boiling over.

Rebecca Bennett41 said:And tell me, are you actually considering seeking out psychotherapy?
No. I went through it a few years back, but honestly, I can't say it did much for me.

I honestly share that same fear. I ended up enrolling in a major that just doesn't spark anything in me. The field I actually dream of studying? Well, let's be real—it's probably not going to pay the bills here, and even if it did, it feels like something I’d have to move halfway across the country to pursue in a different lifetime.
I’m currently in my second year, and those nagging questions are starting to creep in: what happens when I finish this? What comes next? On the bright side, I can still pursue my actual passion after graduation, even if I don't have a degree specifically for it... though that's a bit of a double-edged sword. It means that on top of having the talent, I’ll likely have to work three times harder just to get a foot in the door. And honestly, with how burnt out I've been feeling lately, I'm just praying for some recovery before things get too intense.
It really depends on what you're looking for. Is there a realistic path for you to jump into what you actually love once this degree is out of the way?

There’s always a chance. Of course, that’s easy to say in theory, but reality is a whole different beast. Even if I decided to take that path, I know I'd be pulling 300% effort alongside any talent I have.

If you truly love what you do, then you’ll find the strength to pour all that effort into it. I’ve already adopted this as my personal philosophy—something I know I’ll have to lean on in a few years, regardless of how things look right now. I just hope I’ll be strong enough when that time comes. On the flip side, I’m actually pretty relieved to be working toward this degree as a safety net; you can never predict what life might throw at you. Think of what you’re studying as building one massive, solid foundation for your future security.

Sure, but the career I actually want is mostly dependent on age. At this point, my future feels pretty uncertain... which is exactly why I'm spiraling right now.

I’m honestly at a bit of a loss as to how I can best support you right now. Have you considered switching over to overtime hours so you could potentially enroll in that degree program you've been eyeing this summer?
I don't know all the specifics, and it's hard to give definitive advice without more context, but please, just take a moment to weigh all your options.

Honestly, you two are in the exact same boat as I am...
The fact that this entire thing is dictated by age creates such an overwhelming amount of pressure...

Technically, my situation isn't age-restricted. On paper, there's no rule against it, but... things are a little more complicated than that.

But, if we are discussing the matter from the perspective of spatial constraints—if the volume in question is strictly limited—then what we are fundamentally dealing with is pressure...
How have you been?

Look, I have my ups and downs. Today is actually a decent day.
But I need to get on top of this mess soon. I can't just sit here and let my life go down the drain.

It’s never too late, I guess.😉
I mean, nobody's stopping you from enrolling in that degree alongside this 🤷

Take it slow, approach everything with precision and patience...
Of course, life is inherently complicated, but whatever you do, don't throw in the towel just yet..

That's not really the kind of trade school I'm looking at. It's not about my GPA; I need different certifications entirely. Not going to get into the weeds with it.

A smart guy knows how to learn from other people's screw-ups instead of having to trip over his own feet like an idiot... though honestly, most of the morons out there don't even bother showing up to these online forums anyway.
So look, just take the hint: learn from what others have messed up and just get that degree finished, I don't care if you absolutely hate being there or if the subject matter feels totally useless to you... just get it done. Good luck. 👍
