Since when does the month speak French?

So I was watching the news last night and saw they mentioned Mason addressing the security council in French, which honestly just completely floored me. I mean, I know his English isn't great and his German is pretty much non-existent, so seeing him pull off French like that really caught me off guard, and I was just wondering what you guys🙄

Can someone who actually speaks French tell me what that sounded like? I don't know the language, but based on the look on his face, it seemed like he understood French about as well as Mary understands a broken leg. 🤣

French is a notoriously difficult language to master, and if you aren't using it every single day, it’s only natural that it won't sound flawless. Expecting Bush to speak as fluently as Sarkozy is just a completely different level of ridiculousness.

Total circus and just plain embarrassing... I mean, if he wasn't the President of the United States, nobody would have even cared. But since he is? I bet everyone in that room was just losing it and laughing their heads off behind his back..

The French element was unexpected enough, but conducting the session in French? That’s a whole different level of surprise. I have to admit, though, it was a pleasant one. Looking at the footage, it seems half the crowd didn't even have their headsets on for the simultaneous translation, so perhaps it actually sounded decent.

I mean, seriously, what wouldn't those Clinton-style bureaucrats spin as some "pleasant surprise"? If he’d just dropped his pants and taken a dump right in the middle of a board meeting, they’d probably find a way to act delighted about it. It's crazy how everyone's acting all hyped up over some kid babbling nonsense that sounded neither fancy nor even remotely coherent. Like, dude, nobody knew what he was talking about!

We clearly aren't going to see eye to eye, despite all these years, but no matter how you slice it, this was a shock. As for those bureaucrats, you can take their opinions and throw them in the trash.

Or maybe they just ditched the headsets because nobody was translating Clinton's speech. Apparently, the French translator didn't even realize they were supposed to be working 😁
