As for adults
well, sure, why not
just in moderation
every once in a while
but seriously
only occasionally
and strictly just to set the mood
a little cannabis
specifically an indica strain

That’s just how things work in my universe.
😉

And what would everyone else have to do, according to you? 🙂

I want more posts like this—from anyone on the forum. 😍

First off, I don't care if a Satanist is running moderation here. Within any sane moderation system, they wouldn't be able to push their specific agenda anyway.
Comer has a bit too much of an ego, acting like he's Christ or some ultimate yoga expert, but honestly, I don't mind people like that as long as they're useful to those they help. Besides, he stepped up and helped his people back in California during the last war, so he’s proven himself to be a humanist.
As for Richard Walker79, let him write. It’ll be interesting to watch how his posts evolve—assuming drugs haven't totally wrecked his brain. Though, looking at his syntax lately, it doesn't seem like he's lost his grip on reality just yet.
The first issue is moving spirituality over to a subforum called philosophy.
Personally, I find it fascinating how Enky, who used to hold such liberal, avant-garde views on almost everything, has suddenly turned into a total churchgoer.
Comer lost a legal battle against KC in America.
If certain inappropriate things get encouraged, fine. But I didn't see a single shred of immorality or spiritual imposition in the posts by Draganov that I followed closely enough.
This is the second term for this moderator, and since Comer leads an American movement, where else would you go for better promotion of a new, limitless spirituality?
At the end of the day, people post all kinds of nonsense on forums, so a little censorship is inevitable.
Whoever is posting here needs to decide what actually deserves being discussed under the umbrella of spirituality.
I don't do drugs, but I have nothing against even deviant sexuality; I've experienced plenty of it myself. You should look elsewhere on this forum, specifically where people write about love. I haven't visited that section in years because they describe things that have absolutely nothing to do with sex or love—it's enough to make you sick.
I don't see why modern spirituality should be ashamed of anything.
It's not like nobody has sex or watches porn; we aren't all just sitting in pews all day.
Regarding drugs, let there be open threads for it. People can talk there. There's no need to drag it into other discussions.
😉

Enky, the best I can do for you right now is leave your take on Comer right here on this thread—that way everyone can draw their own conclusions. Honestly, dragging people behind your back and spreading lies by acting like pedophilia is just standard practice in Comer is incredibly low. You didn't cite a single source for such a heavy accusation. As for everything else you have regarding this subject, please take it to the appropriate thread—the one Mandragora specifically moved from Philosophy and Mysticism—instead of us all chasing each other around the forum.
Flamen Maior said:You seem like a pretty decent person, but the constant mentions of "old school" "good" forum members really rub me the wrong way. Personally, I lurk around here, and honestly, there isn't much to brag about on this subforum. Cliques, factions, senseless insults, ego trips... all the stuff a spiritual space should have less of.
And don't go thinking the "newer" members are to blame for that.
Just because someone hasn't posted much on this forum doesn't mean they aren't spiritually advanced.
So maybe look more closely at those who *do* write, without those kinds of biases.

I never claimed that someone who hasn't posted here is any less spiritually advanced.
And I'm not blaming the newer users.
As for the "old guard"? That’s a bit of a cliché that every forum freak deals with—but then again, some of them actually used to be excellent (even if they don't show it on the forum anymore).
If Parsifal, Nemruth, Dragonfly, Lame Deer, Enchantress, Fish, Belki, Baphomet, Mano, Fazlija, Jivan Mukta, Jimmy Jazz, Witch, Crazy Person, Slavko, Planinar, and several other names I can't recall right now became active again—paired with support from the newer crowd—this forum would be paradise. 😁
But I guess even in spirituality, you get "burnout." Especially on forums like this one.

I agree—the insults and ego trips are an embarrassment to a spiritual forum... and I'm working on fixing that (even if some people keep throwing wrenches in my gears). I don't have anything against cliques, as long as they aren't used to disrupt how the forum runs.

Look, I value my biases. Like I said before, they'll remain a constant part of my moderation—subjective objectivity, essentially—and a preference for those who actually try to make this forum high-quality through their writing. And like I mentioned, that favor is fluid; you have to earn it.

Take Alexis, for example.
Since joining on July 11th, she hasn't started a single spiritual thread (just one about digital photography and one complaint about moderation).
I don't recall a single meaningful contribution from her regarding spirituality, either. And now she wants to come in and fix the "wrong" Mississippi on the Philosophy and Spirituality board? And I'm supposed to answer to her? It's funny how her entire body of work lately has just been supporting Enky in criticizing n&n, myself, and the whole administration. Not to mention the tone she uses while doing it.
So, feel free to think I'm biased when it comes to her. 😍
That doesn't mean it's set in stone forever, though.

Benjamin Long is merely a mirror reflecting your own actions. Whether they posted under a handle that opened two threads or twenty, or whether they used a name you happen to loathe or adore—these are simply preconceptions you are building in your mind based on incomplete information; they are nothing more than products of your imagination. There are far too many people being trampled here under the guise of "love and peace," fueled by bias, favoritism, and not to mention the sheer amount of prejudice—which I can clearly see through the way you draw these conclusions, hinting at your own exclusivity.
I noticed that in Alimo's moderation thread, you were already wielding your moderator's baton, threatening that things would "go to the scrap heap if..." which also reveals your sensitivity toward what was written there. Wouldn't one who holds the gavel (and possesses the knowledge and sensitivity to understand?) instantly discard anything that doesn't fit their specific concepts? Is that your idea of "unconditional love" and love in general?

The spirituality subforum is an absolute disaster (there’s just no way around it) 🙂

My dear casualtiger2—since you’re still apparently letting Dustin and his little crowd glorify these "supernatural" experiences they supposedly had while high on psychostimulants, tell me this: am I allowed to start a thread titled, "I slaughtered civilians during wartime and it spiritually cleansed me, leading me to realize God and my true Higher Self"?

Look, we all know that promoting narcotics—whether direct or indirect—is a criminal offense. We also know that glorifying war crimes is illegal under the laws of the United States. So, why on earth are threads praising LSD and a couple of other banned substances still hanging around instead of being wiped from existence?

Locking the threads hasn't actually solved anything, because the content is still out there for anyone to read. And let's be honest—young people are vulnerable, impressionable, and easily swayed; by reading Dustin’s incoherent ramblings about his drug-induced "spiritual awakenings," they could very easily fall into the exact same trap.

Personally, I view this whole situation as a targeted psychological operation against the United States, and I feel a certain responsibility to report this forum and the individuals spreading propaganda for illegal drugs to the proper American authorities.

That doesn't mean it's set in stone forever, though.

I voted that this sub-forum is pure horror: meaning the absolute lowest tier. But look, I'm stepping in because ever since you arrived, I've found you to be a rare, truly authentic, and balanced person (those are hard to find these days), and I believe you can offer your perspective here.
It is incredibly low to attack someone's spiritual background: especially when that background hasn't been established by them as an individual member or as a current moderator within the bounds of natural and moral communication.
You use an Aurobindov avatar, yet Comer forbids drug use.
I like Dustin's posts; he's honest.
I couldn't care less about these "degree holders" who spent years posting creepy things on American forums: some of whom are still acting out or making fools of themselves. They’re out there pushing this idea of public or group-cultural morality. Some people are probably happy about it, sitting back and reading the room without saying a word, glad they aren't the ones on the hook. Personally, I don't work in that field, so if anyone wants to talk about procedural rules, they should have the guts to take it up with those specific people directly.
Richard Walker79 can have his drug-related threads; those exist on pretty much every forum from New York to Los Angeles. Besides, he doesn't actually have to, and I haven't seen him posting about it anyway.
Some people treated the former moderator absolutely terribly, and now they're trying to carry that toxic behavior forward.
The end result? We'll lose casualtiger2, and then whatever moderator is left can be whoever they want to be for all I care.

@ crimsonhound80,
"Horrible and terrible" is definitely an option—total catastrophe.
You can't just judge this whole place based on one or two controversial threads or a couple of loudmouths; you have to look at the big picture.
I honestly expected most people to vote for the "disaster" option, but apparently, there are plenty of folks who are actually kind of happy here?!
People, just cast your votes so we can get a clearer sense of where we stand.
Otherwise, it’ll be just like those apolitical voters who refuse to show up and then spend the next four years whining about the politicians they helped elect.

I'm still waiting on your suggestions for how to improve the quality of the forum (aside from nuking the psychedelic sub-forums).

The subject you brought up has been debated endlessly—way before I even realized it was a thing here!—across moderator threads, and we finally landed on finding a balance between free speech and cracking down on stuff that's actually illegal. Personally, I think that's the right call.
To reiterate: things were set up this way long before my time, and any grievances need to go straight to the moderator.
If you actually want to help—for those of you who find that specific topic such an eyesore—don't just pick fights there. Instead, bring some objective scientific, medical, or sociological data and studies to the table that you think are relevant. If anyone crosses the line into illegal territory by promoting or attempting to deal prohibited items, report it to me or n&n (and please, be precise—don't come hunting me down for every little suspicious detail). OK?
From what I can see, during my first few days as a moderator, things haven't really spiraled out of control over there, have they?!

PS
crimsonhound80, don't you think your avatar is a little... uneducational (to put it mildly)? It looks like it's inciting violence.

Listen up, everyone, heads up here:

Look, everything Alexis and I have said—whether it was in those Philosophy PDFs, the Spirituality ones, or the PŽK files—it all came from a good place. We were being real with you, and we still stand by every word we said.

BUT,

If we’re going to have some "peace in the house," we’re gonna have to just overlook our disagreements with certain views of yours... honestly, some of them are so out there we’re actually afraid they might rub off on us. 😁

So, for the sake of "peace in the house," I suggest we all just let go of our fears and dive into some "new adventures" together.

Best,
Kenneth Peterson5

P.S.
We’re even willing to stop being so formal with you guys.🤣

PPS.
Hey, next time you feel the urge to drop a long-winded poem on a topic I brought up, do me a favor and post it over at the little literary nook PDF first, then just drop the link here.
The same goes for Richard Walker79 and everybody else, too.

Fair point, my bad. Error corrected (though, technically, it wasn't a "poem," just some stuff from the Buddhism corner)

Glad we're moving past this and can finally bury the hatchet—or, as some folks in the Midwest might say, just sit back and enjoy a peaceful pipe. 🤣. 👍👏

Not going to happen. That isn't just some poem—it's a full-blown poem, and frankly, it's how I communicate.
If it bothers you, feel free to delete it. I really don't care...

casualtiger2 said:Hey everyone,
It’s been a minute since I’ve been active here—and now, out of nowhere, I’ve been tapped as a moderator. So, I’m asking you all to jump into this poll so I can get a decent pulse on where we actually stand right now.
I want to hear from the old guard—the "seasoned veterans" who probably use this place as their digital fountain of youth 😉—as well as the newcomers who just joined the party.
The site changes every single day, obviously, and I know "quality" is a pretty hard thing to pin down—especially on a Spirituality Forum—but I think it’s worth taking a snapshot of where we are in this little corner of the internet.

So, here are some prompts to get us started (feel free to throw in your own thoughts too):
- What do you think of the forum over the last few weeks or months?
- What are you actually enjoying?
- What’s getting on your nerves?
- How could we make this better (if it even needs it)? Basically, what’s missing?
(Just trying to make sure everyone stays happy while reading or posting. 🙂)

Look, I know everyone’s going to have subjective takes—some might even be total opposites—so please, let’s avoid any heated arguments over whose opinion is "right." A cool, civil dialogue is always welcome, though.

Since I’ve posted quite a bit myself, here’s my quick, telegraphic take on how things feel to me.

I’ve only really been active here for about two years—even though I registered ages ago for one specific post, then basically went ghost. For a while, this felt like a great spot, both for the community and the topics. But lately, it feels like things have slipped a bit. Part of that was the chaos regarding where we'd host the site, part was the struggle to find permanent moderators—even though, honestly, every mod I've worked with so far has done a killer job—and part was losing some core members who really made this place what it was. It led to this weird illusion that there's some massive drama happening in real life outside of these threads. 😁 Plus, at one point, it felt like a bunch of argumentative personalities were starting to take over.

That said, over the last week or two, it feels like the spiral is finally turning back upward—both in terms of how people talk and the actual content being shared. I’d love to do whatever I can in my capacity to keep that momentum going.

I’ll be opening a dedicated thread soon specifically for moderation and direct communication.

If a forum dedicated to spirituality wants to be truly high-quality, it needs to be filled with spirit—it’s like any vessel, really; if it's full of spirit, people can draw from it, and that act of drawing is itself an act of renewal and further giving. Honestly, there isn't any other recipe...

I am curious to hear from both the veteran forum "wolves and foxes" (who might use this place as a way to recapture their youth 😉) and those who have just recently joined the community.

It seems to me that the opinions of new members (if such people even exist, given how often old, once-active members return under a new handle) are more important than the views of those of us who have been here for years. Four years ago, I would have thought this sub-forum was excellent; there were periods when I found it quite poor, but now I think it is relatively okay. I believe there is something here for new users to enjoy, including topics worth remembering and reading.

- what do you think of the forum over the last few weeks/months?

Solid.

- what do you particularly like?

Lately, the discussions have become more serious, and I believe moving 'spirituality' to 'philosophy' was a wise decision.

- what irritates you?

The tendency for 'spirituality' to turn into a testing ground for debating the justification of drug use to achieve certain spiritual insights.

- how could the forum be improved (if necessary at all), or what is missing
(to make you happy while reading or writing on the forum 🙂)

If the combatants fighting 'for and against' narcotics moved to a more appropriate sub-forum or limited themselves to a single thread, then spirituality topics would dominate the sub-forum index again. When I have the time, I try to make my modest contribution by occasionally bumping an old thread on a different subject. I hope others will follow my lead, and that those with more time and inspiration will start opening interesting new topics that better suit this sub-forum. 🙂

Nah, I actually made that animation myself on my computer—it’s a depiction of my showdown with Richard Walker79.

We crossed paths in the Astral plane, where he was busy peddling drugs to "higher" beings and their "lesser spiritual children." Okay, fine, he was just moving some low-grade weed, but I had to lay him out because he was trying to hawk bottom-shelf LSD to poor little reptiles and aliens... well, you get the idea, Richard Walker79. ☕

Anyway: a quick tip for future polls

Maybe stop including an option that makes the poll public? It seems like a lot of people are too intimidated to say what they actually think because they don't want to accidentally offend the moderators. 😉

How cruel and inhumane! Blow after blow, without end or beginning...

But the real question is whether that move actually benefited philosophy itself? That’s the absurd part of this whole situation—it’s like someone deciding to move into an apartment without ever asking the landlord if they even wanted a new tenant in the first place.
Even now, when people say it was a good move for spirituality, they aren't really stopping to consider if it was good for philosophy; and frankly, that exact attitude—just ignoring what philosophy actually needs or wants—is precisely what caused spirituality to drift into the philosophy section in the first place.

For the spirituality-free subforum, the benefit is clear: it distanced itself from the Religion forum—institutional belief systems and followers of one book who label any differing opinion or belief as Satanic or Devilish work.

If I recall correctly, I never requested that the spirituality-free section be moved under Philosophy, especially without the knowledge or consent of the Philosophy moderators.

Given this context, keeping the spirituality subforum within the Philosophy forum is a poor decision. It should be removed immediately. That would be a much better solution than dealing with the constant dissatisfaction and complaining from the Philosophy moderators.

At the end of the day, they are people too. They have every right to seek happiness and satisfaction.

You really ought to wander off to other message boards, stretching from the Atlantic coast all the way to the Pacific Northwest, specifically those places that treat spirituality as a dedicated sub-forum, just so you can realize what 🙂🙂🙂🙂 actually is... pure boredom.

This place right here is easily the best spot in the entire country.

And I don't just mean because of the topics or the fact that you can actually find some intelligent discourse; it’s precisely because of this whole spectacle we put on for the audience 🍿 🍿 🍿

.....between the constant bickering and the pseudo-intellectual posturing ......there's a bit of everything here .... sometimes I genuinely find myself laughing, especially when my friend Vito says, "Donna, get off the internet, why are you spending so much time hovering over this forum?" He clearly doesn't realize that this place is basically a soap opera. You've got Kenneth Peterson5 attacking casualtiger2 for being an addict, then someone else trying to defend Alim by suggesting he move his posts under a different thread, then Richard Walker79 defending drugs, only for crimsonhound80 to call him out on it, and then suddenly Alexis pops up out of nowhere to back Kenneth Peterson5 up against the admins, only for them to be brushed off, and then the landlord steelridge58 shows up and tells everyone they need to vacate this sub-forum, and then some Hare Krishna follower wanders in, or some guy from the South who speaks in tongues and falls into trances and starts shouting from rooftops until everyone yells at him for being ridiculous.... so he flees over to the religion section to hold his little rallies..... 😂

it's something different every single day .... what can I even say? Why on earth are you all complaining so much, when not only are you having a blast all day long (if you weren't, you wouldn't be hanging around here so much), but you're also providing top-tier entertainment for the spectators too.....👍

Though it pains me to admit it, I find myself in general agreement with Donna and Enchantress this time around. ☕
Furthermore, I believe it would be highly beneficial for Philosophy if Spirituality were integrated into its ranks. Such a move would effectively break the monotony of those limited, overly simplistic approaches—specifically those leaning too heavily on aesthetic "sublime" concepts—and disrupt the current clan-like mentalities.

@ volver, who exactly do you consider to be the "landlord" over at Philosophy?
