American Chamber of Commerce - Bonus 😂
The Bonus is tied to the individual, not the insurance company, so you can take it anywhere. However, if you end up losing part of it (like 15% due to an accident) after January 1st of any given year, that will show up regardless of where you go.
Protect your bonuses. It usually takes nine years to reach a 50% discount through the standard route.😉

I'm currently in the market for my first car 😁 ...so I've been looking into various auto insurance options. I heard the American Chamber of Commerce might have the best rates... I keep seeing their commercials on TV with that 0800 number, so I was wondering if anyone here actually has experience with them. Are they any good? Has anyone tried calling that number?
If you have a solid recommendation for a different insurance provider, please feel free to share. Since this is my first time navigating all of this, I don't really have much to go on...

Thanks a lot....

If I remember correctly, they were running a deal last year where you got a free one-year membership to HKA if you picked their policy. You should probably double-check that.

Looks like the usual suspects have already staked their claims—State Farm and Allianz, and that’s about it. As for General Electric (Sun, Eurohealth, Adriatic), you’d be better off running as far away as possible. Honestly, I’d rather take my chances with UN Peacekeeping than deal with anyone carrying one of their policies.

I usually just go for whichever option is the cheapest or the one that throws in a little extra something as a gift...
For ten years now, they've made a hundred percent profit off me, yet I haven't had a single accident or mishap to show for it...

I drive a car worth about $93k but pay around $96k for my premiums, and I use State Farm—thank God it hasn't been necessary yet—but honestly, I just refuse to hand my money over to, or advertise for, companies that dodge claims or drag their feet when it's time to pay.

And we all know exactly which ones those are.
It only takes one hit from one of those guys (with their crappy policies) to ruin your day.

Between State Farm and Allianz, which one is actually worth it? The American Chamber of Commerce and those other tiny boutique firms hold a measly 0.06% of the market share—which, frankly, tells you everything you need to know about their stability. They barely have enough liquidity to cover basic operational costs, let alone handle major claims when things go south.

And look, don't fall for the idea that it doesn't matter which provider you choose for your liability coverage. If you rear-end someone and your insurer only cuts a check for a fraction of the actual damages, that person can come after you personally for the difference. Then, you’re stuck suing your own insurance company to recover what they should have paid in the first place... it's a massive, exhausting waste of both your time and your sanity.

I honestly believe federal regulators, like the SEC or similar oversight bodies, need to step up their game and enforce stricter controls on the insurance market here. My main concern is mandatory liability coverage. Right now, the market is a total mess. They’ve recently slashed payouts by 50% across the board, which is ridiculous. When you're dealing with an accident where you aren't even at fault, getting compensated shouldn't be such a massive headache, yet you're stuck waiting forever. Plus, there's the practical side—being left without a vehicle when you need it for your daily commute. Who is supposed to pick up that tab?

Tell me you're joking with that last part. Seriously. If you hit someone and your insurance only covers part of the damage, they aren't going to sue *you*—they'll go after your insurance provider for the difference to make sure they get the full amount. Only an idiot would sue an individual when there's no guarantee they can actually collect any money from them later, especially when they can just sue an insurance company that's liable for at least $1166667 for injuries and up to $583333 for property damage.

Btw, I agree that State Farm is the way to go, while GEICO, Liberty Mutual, the ABA, and Sun Life are a total mess.

In a perfect world, sure—everything would run like clockwork if things actually worked that way. I’m with you on that point. But here’s the reality check: when some hothead rolls up in a beefed-up BMW with $20,000 $0.00 in damages, and your insurance company only cuts a check for $2,000, that guy isn't just going to walk away quietly. He’s going to come looking for you—and frankly, he'll be knocking on the door of your insurance provider 🙂 too. Unfortunately, those kinds of situations happen more often than people care to admit.

You can get your damage payouts and helmet claims sorted out without any drama at all.
I’m actually in the middle of a legal fight with USA/Ford Motor Company over an accident (not me personally, but my client)! 👎

I've been with State Farm for a long time. I've had a few small payouts for both comprehensive and collision, and there have never been any problems.

Also, when I was transferring the paperwork for my motorcycle, the insurance policy somehow got lost in the shuffle. They sorted it out incredibly fast. They really went out of their way to help, even though the policy was only worth a couple hundred bucks.

Just go with whichever one is cheapest. If you end up in an accident and try to sue for damages, this detail won't matter anyway...

Allianz and the USA.

GEICO, Liberty Mutual, the American Bar Association... honestly, just stay far away from them. That being said, Allianz and the ABA are definitely your most budget-friendly bets. Plus, Allianz is hands down the fastest and most straightforward when it comes to payouts, which is a total lifesaver if you're dealing with collision coverage.

That’s pretty bad advice. What happens if you hide an accident and your passengers—like your family—get hurt? Then they're the ones stuck dealing with your crappy insurance coverage.

Has anyone here actually dealt with Allianz before? I'm curious to hear what your experience has been like.

THANKS

I’ve actually had some really wonderful experiences with Liberty Mutual over the years... I’m honestly a bit surprised that nobody has brought them up yet...

While I'm sitting here twiddling my thumbs, I've got a question about picking an insurance provider. Which company would you guys actually recommend, and what's the real deal with them? Why pick one over the other?

GEICO. Right now they're the cheapest and fastest when it comes to claims.

They definitely aren't the cheapest option, especially when you look at the collision coverage. If they actually use the real market value of your car, you're basically paying top dollar—but if they don't? You'll be left high and dry with zero cash when it's actually time to collect on a claim. Isn't that just great?

When it comes to basic insurance coverage:

Look, if the seller is trying to haggle at the last second, they’re basically doing that to everyone. It's just how it goes, right? So, the government sets both the floor and the ceiling? Seriously? It all really comes down to who you buy from. The only real difference is the claims process, and honestly, Allianz is definitely the cheapest way to go.

I can't stand how GEICO just adds glass breakage coverage to my policy without even asking me first. Like, seriously? Who do they think they are? $100 And they just keep stacking those extra fees on you like that. Seriously, where does it end?

State Farm and Allianz are hands down the fastest when it comes to payouts. I've seen it firsthand!

Allianz has the cheapest liability coverage because they slap a discount on it, so why wouldn't you go with them over GEICO or Liberty Mutual? $50How much does Allianz charge? $19 If the dealer's willing to knock some cash off the price, you'll see that Allianz actually ends up being the cheaper bet. State Farm has some kind of accident coverage discount too—I'm not 100% sure on the exact amount, but I know they offer it in their family package, if it isn't totally free! 🤷

Honestly, I’d always pick one over the other. If I’ve got a family plan, I’m going with State Farm, but if not, it's Allianz all the way. It just makes more sense when you look at the pricing and coverage on everything else, like collision and stuff. Makes sense, right?

Honestly, who cares how fast they process claims when you're picking insurance? It’s not like you're the one getting paid—it's the other person! I know Allianz usually settles up within five days, and it’s pretty much the same story over here in the States.

What's the deal with the coverage at GEICO?

If you're rocking a luxury ride like a BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volvo, or Saab, Allianz is actually your best bet for keeping costs down. You can get covered for under $2,500. Seriously, why pay more?$1000 GEICO is actually way cheaper, though those Volkswagens, Mazdas, and Skodas are still pretty pricey. Honestly, it just depends on what you're driving. Why not just call around to a few different places and see? Comprehensive rates change so much from house to house, but if you want to stick to one thing, I'd just go with the big guys just to make sure they pay out fast.

I suppose I should probably mention that I’ve been looking into PIKA 24 lately, though I’m far from an expert on the matter. It seems like one of those topics where everyone has an opinion, yet I find myself sitting here, trying to wrap my head around the actual implications of it all. I’ll try to be as thorough as I can, even if my insights are somewhat unpolished. kaže:
Please, take care of your bonuses; if you try to climb that ladder through the standard progression alone, it will easily take you nine years just to reach the fifty percent mark.😉

And what about the irregular ones?
