I personally find this deeply disturbing. It will certainly leave lasting scars on how that child perceives reality.

It could go either way. I am not necessarily defending homosexuality, but it all comes down to parenting above everything else. If parents aren't forceful about it, there might be a chance the child grows up heterosexual; however, there is a higher probability they will become homosexual due to the various stages of parental identification every child must navigate. If they identify with a "mother" who claims to be a man, then things have truly veered off course.

But again, it depends. It is just like the debate over marrying a son-in-law or daughter-in-law of a different nationality or religion—it might happen, or it might not.

Ultimately, I believe homosexuality is a choice. If any homosexual person were to tell me it isn't a choice but something determined at birth, I would immediately view them as abnormal. Homosexuality might be socially accepted, but the logic falls apart the moment we discuss the survival of the human race. If Mother Nature (or God, or some other power) intended for humans to be homosexual, it would be considered natural. BUT, IT ISN'T!
There are males and there are females, and that is the end of it. Anything outside of that is not normal; it is unhealthy.
The only exception is if those individuals treat it as a mere pastime, but even then, such behavior falls into the same category as drug use, alcoholism, or gambling—various vices. That, too, is not normal.

Regardless of my views, I don't really care who does what or where, because as long as people leave me alone, I have no interest in their business. It is a matter of choice, so let them be. As my buddy used to say:
"The more gay guys there are, the more women are left for us!" So, let there be as many as they want! haha.
