Hannah Thompson2 said:Yeah, I'd say it's possible—empathy and willpower (at least the kind I'm talking about) definitely are. As for intelligence, maybe it's less about raw IQ and more about developing wisdom and a certain kind of mental maturity... and yeah, there's a massive connection there to spirituality.

But how do you actually build willpower? The drive to get things done comes down to motivation. You can certainly work on your self-confidence and belief in yourself—which likely boosts your motivation to stay active and creative.

through sheer denial and constant repetition.

Denial of what? Why would anyone deny anything without motivation—and why keep repeating it if there's no drive behind it?

A total lack of motivation isn't just a minor setback; for some people, it's a fundamental character flaw.
It’s a downward spiral that almost inevitably leads to ruin—whether you're looking at a collapse of one's moral compass or their bank account. It doesn't really matter which; the result is the same.
If you find yourself lacking any drive at all, then you’ve fundamentally misjudged the situation.😉

I see this pattern constantly when someone tries to steel their resolve. For instance, I might decide to quit smoking—and I have to make that exact same decision every single morning the moment I roll out of bed... otherwise, I simply succumb to my impulses. That's just how it goes.

We aren't talking about a total lack of drive—we're talking about lacking it for one specific task.
Why would you even bother "developing" the willpower to do something you aren't actually interested in? There's usually a reason why the motivation isn't there. Hypnotizing yourself into believing you want something isn't solving the issue; it's just masking it. By denying yourself something you actually crave, you're likely just fueling that desire even more. So, what exactly did you achieve by doing that?

We aren't discussing things that are simply unappealing.
We are talking specifically about things that are unhealthy.
When you constantly indulge in something that you knew from the start wasn't good for you, after a while, it starts to feel NORMAL. And once it feels normal, you know you've already slipped a few steps down the ladder.

By the way, I'm not talking about hypnosis; I'm talking about strengthening one's willpower. Hypnosis is just a layman's way of describing a cheap trick.
And, of course, it's about the necessity of being honest with oneself.😉

So you want to talk about smoking... 😬
It all comes down to motivation. Clearly, the reason you're giving—your health—isn't enough to make you quit. Until you find a more compelling reason within yourself, you won't be able to solve this problem in any meaningful way.

I wasn't talking about smoking at all.
Nor was I talking about myself.
I was simply using an example to try and simplify things for you.

It’s only human to follow your instincts and chase what actually makes you happy. You can try forcing the same routine a thousand times—if it clashes with who you really are—but it won't yield results; honestly, it's just a waste of time.

That’s exactly why I specified the kind of will I was talking about (in parentheses)
—by "will," I mean the will to live, the will to help others, the drive for personal growth, spirituality, and plenty of other things too.

Now you guys have completely thrown me off.
I was just getting comfortable with the idea of not having to develop anything—basically accepting my fate—
when suddenly, apparently we need to be enlightening people and awakening their spirituality.
It’s like...
"good morning"
"good morning"
"I am your spirituality, now who are you?"...

Who exactly is doing the enlightening and waking up? Who is the target here?

PS
So, I guess there’s no point in trying to force willpower, since there isn't really a need for it
if the true motivation is already there?

This is getting into some pretty heavy territory—honestly, I’d rather move this conversation to private messages. If you have any specific questions or just want to hash things out one-on-one, just let me know and we can take it to the DMs.

Look, casualtiger2... you just didn't get it. You completely missed the point...
Do you need a Master to sit you down and give you a lecture on Tantra? Because it sounds like you're lost...

So... here we go.
"I am your spirituality... but who exactly are you?" I am your very soul. I’ve been waiting for you—waiting and waiting, through everything—and finally, at long last, you've arrived. Come on in, take a seat... care for some coffee? No? Well, you don't have to!
And you just talk it out, clear the air, maybe get a little intimate... and that’s really all there is to it...

True spirituality awakens you to the fact that most "spirituality" is nothing more than a facade... Now, which comes first? The realization or the illusion? Hmm... does it even matter...?
If it even matters... she’s completely oblivious to the one who actually is... 🙂 Or maybe it’s actually the other way around... I can't quite recall exactly now...

What exactly do you want from me...?
So... is it actually time to get the potatoes in the ground yet? Or are we all just waiting around for a sign from above...? 🙏 The corn? Hmm... honestly, what even is it at this point? That’s a question for whoever is running the show over at the Fed!

Motivation... that’s a whole different beast altogether...
Your motivation is simple: if you're out there putting in the work, planting crops with everything you've got—even when there isn't a woman by your side to cheer you on—then you've finally found a real reason to move... That's what true drive looks like.
Actually, I don't think it’s just about women. We aren't exactly rookies here, so let's be real—it's a primal sexual necessity for both you and me. And honestly? It isn't even "pure." Calling it that is too kind. It’s more like a desperate need for release... though even that isn't quite precise enough. If we really want to get down to it, it’s a craving to steal something away, a frantic attempt to run from our own selves. But... well... surely you didn't think this was the end of the story...!!! 😲
Alright... just getting started...
There’s this deep-seated need to prove oneself... an underlying fear of actually facing who you are and accepting that reality. Then there's the craving for attention. And then, things get a bit more insidious. You have outright energy vampirism—that raw, predatory exchange—but even more subtle than that is the way people merge their energies. It's a shifting of power, where one person drains the other to level the playing field, transferring strength from the dominant to the weak just to balance the scales. Whether it's masculine or feminine dynamics, it's happening beneath the surface... much more subtle than most realize... 👍
And maybe this is the last one, though certainly not the most important... you’re talking about a spiritual delusion, or rather... pure spiritual pretension. It's that supposed "oneness" at its absolute final stage...
Look, I'm not entirely sure where you stand on this one, but if you've got any additional thoughts to throw into the ring, I’d be more than interested in reading them... Be a dear!

Hey there... just checking in.
Off to some far-off land... far away from anyone I actually know... 🙂
Nirvaan...

I don't really have much to add—you’ve already covered it all. Honestly, the more I dwell on this, the less sense it makes. It's just pure existential dread at this point.

When it comes to spirituality, you're my Tupac for "living together," my Nemesis for religion, and my Executioner for "philosophy"—though, unlike everyone else, I actually agree with him. You're basically my source of hope and comfort.

So, you've hit the nail on the head again. The core issue? Women.
You can't live without them, yet you can't live with them either (well, maybe there are a few saints out there who've managed to transcend that whole mess).
Then again, maybe I could manage solo if I ever actually figured out why I can't. In that sense, what you wrote was actually pretty helpful.

As for the rest, I'm at a loss. It's becoming increasingly clear that half the things I've been searching for don't even exist—soul, spirit, divinity, God, free will, self-growth... it's all smoke and mirrors.
Though, given my stubborn American roots, I guess I'm wired to handle this kind of void. 🙂

Heading out to the garden now; it's a beautiful evening. Sending warm wishes from afar, Free Duso.

PS
The potatoes are coming in great! And not just them. We've planted about ten different fruit trees over the last few years and they're all thriving—even a fig tree that somehow survived the winter against all odds. And don't even get me started on the strawberries—they're huge, and they taste like wild berries straight from the woods. Just melts in your mouth.

Look, you know as well as I do that we share some pretty similar roots—roots that some people actually recognize—so we’re both on the same page here... WOMEN... they're the issue. 😉
What "dark spirituality" are you even talking about? I thought you already knew that stuff doesn't exist. Except, maybe, inside the heads of those self-proclaimed gurus. And "dark will"? Please... nothing more than sheer stubbornness and a particularly aggressive decision.

Out here, it’s just rain... non-stop rain, then more rain, then just more damn rain. 🙂
I don't have a garden myself, but I can certainly outdo yours... 😉.. I've got my visualizations. 😉

Anyway, I'm glad you're doing well... whatever "well" means to you... it's good to hear, and I'll keep that positive thought in my mind...

So, sending my regards from afar... and from nearby, too...
By the way, a colleague of mine climbed Everest these past few days. Man, what an experience. Honestly, we were more excited and hyped up about it than he was. Women, you know how it goes in those "free-spirited" tantric communities... you're all thrilled for a moment, but the excitement doesn't last very long.

Best,
Nirvaan

PS.
Let me know if there's anything new regarding the courses and such... over in Mexico, if you hear anything. There are people interested. I could pass the word along... and who knows... maybe I'll head over there myself to initiate someone. :P
