And then there's the part where I actually have to sit through classes....
Just imagineβ€”me, at 35 years old, being sent right back to a classroom desk...
But hey, at least I’m keeping everyone entertainedβ€”my classmates, the instructor, you name it....😁

So, how's it going for you?😬
Honestly, I haven't even sat for an exam since mid-2005. I can barely even look at a book lately, let alone try to study. I actually forced myself to start reading "Lullaby" just the other day, but I hit the halfway point and just handed it right back to the library.

Not really, thoughβ€”like I mentioned before, until I really "open up," people tend to perceive me a bit differently...

Why on earth would you care about what others think...
Look, according to everyone else, I should have ended it all a long time ago, or at least been locked away somewhere for life... because I simply don't fit into their "normal" little boxes...
The only real question is, who defines normal? Them, or me?

You should never give a damn about someone else's opinion regarding who you are...

Look, if I had listened to everyone else back in the day, I probably would’ve ended up totally isolatedβ€”or worseβ€”just because I don't fit into those "standard" little boxes people love so much...
It really just makes you wonder... who actually defines "normal"? Them or me?

Honestly, you should never let someone else's opinion dictate how you see yourself...

Thanks for the input, because you are honestly spot on! If I could actually manage to take your advice more often, life would be a breezeβ€”wishing you nothing but the best! πŸ™‚

It’s only natural that those negative memories come flooding back, especially when you're going through a rough patch like this. I lived in the States for five and a half years, and honestly, I never really felt that wave of nostalgia hitting meβ€”well, maybe just a little bit during the holidays. But whenever depression would really take hold, all I wanted to do was cry for my family. There was even a period where I genuinely believed that homesickness was the root cause of my depression; I just felt this overwhelming urge to go back home.
You know, I’ve heard people say there are basically four main pillars that can drive someone into depression: money troubles, family issues, career stress, or health problems.
You’re saying you’ve been on these meds for two years now, and honestly, it sounds like something just isn't clicking. If things aren't moving in the right direction, maybe it's time to reach out to your psychiatrist again; perhaps a change in your prescription is needed. Are you seeing a therapist as well?
So what? Don't sweat it too much; at the end of the day, most of us here are more or less the same way.
Here's one for you. 😘 Since you have such a lovely avatar.

Don't sweat it too much though, honestly, most of us here are in pretty much the same boat.
Here’s a little 😘 for you, since your avatar is so nice.

I actually just saw my psychiatrist recently, and instead of switching things up, they just bumped up my dosage... I haven't tried therapy yet, and while I've definitely thought about it, I just find it so hard to actually take that first step...

Yeah, that classic depressive lethargy where everything feels impossible...

😘

Look, I honestly have nothing against medication if it truly aids in your recovery, but in this case, pills aren't the ultimate fix. In my view, you would likely benefit much more from psychological counseling than from psychiatric adjustments alone. It might be worth looking into that option.

Haha, take the baitβ€”go study Computer Science and land that big tech job. Honestly, I feel a lot better knowing there are more of us out there.

IT IS ALWAYS A BIT EASIER WHEN YOU REALIZE YOU AREN'T ALONE, THOUGH I SUPPOSE MY PREVIOUS COMMENT SOUNDED A LITTLE SELF-CENTERED... MY APOLOGIES.

Cats, you should really bring back that avatar with the cleavage... I mean, it was actually pretty interesting, just so people don't think you're a guy... β˜•
