Man, honestly... we're just nicknames at the end of the day, not actual people. Or maybe humans missing a dimension, which isn't really much to begin with if you think about it... whatever.

On the other hand, briskgull27 says they live for the internet, their computer, and a good cup of coffee—but maybe there’s a bit more to it than that. Perhaps, looking at it from another angle, even more openly we find ourselves talking than we ever would in real life.🙂

True, but still... I don't know...😕

I don't have an answer for that.

Hey there!🙂 How’s your day treating you?

And who is it that always seems to have all the answers anyway?😉

I just remembered something one lady told me once: my doctor didn't suggest antidepressants to cloud my vision, but rather to help me navigate reality a little more easily. WOW

I’d say I’m sitting pretty at a solid 3. How about you?

Schizophrenia?? To me, just a regular person, sounds kind of terrifying, honestly.😲
BUT, I actually had a family member who lived with it for years back in a Small town in the Midwest. I was terrified when they finally let him come home—mostly because he was getting older and couldn't really hurt anyone anymore—but mostly because of all the judgment from everyone else. People kept pushing their own versions of the "truth" on me, you know?
When I first met him, I guess I was pretty scared for a day or two, but after actually getting to know him myself, I ended up loving him more than any of the "normal" relatives in the family.
Sure, maybe he’d get disoriented sometimes, or yeah, he’d react intensely to certain things, BUT, he was just so sensitive, sincere, and genuinely pure.
And those people who were still scared of him? They were right to be afraid, not of him, but of how they treated him—they weren't good to him at all, and they really messed with his life. They basically wasted his whole existence just because they wouldn't look past a diagnosis...🙄
He’s passed away now, sadly.
Honey, I’m telling you this because I want you to see how we, just regular folks, don't judge people based on some medical chart. We experience them with our hearts.
Based on what I've seen from you here on the forum, I really get the feeling that you have a huge heart too. 🙂

🙏 A 3 sounds pretty good to me.👍

Honestly, I play along and pretend everything is a 5 even when it isn't. 😁 ....basically, I'm just trying to reach some sort of Zen state where I can accept everything—the highs and the lows—with the exact same attitude. After all, life is just one big cycle of things shifting back and forth anyway.

* And regarding what you mentioned about your doctor suggesting antidepressants just to "make reality easier to handle"—man, wow. Just look at the sheer scale of it. Between the pills people pop, the recreational drug use, the endless cycle of uppers and downers... not to mention how intensely everyone stays busy just to cope... it's wild.😉

Thanks, though I actually know a couple of women from a small town in the Midwest myself.

But man, the way they treat me... it’s just too much.
And then when you actually run into them, you have to act all nice because I’m the one with the professional reputation to uphold, while they don't have anything to lose.

I remember one time this "friend" wouldn't even let me into her house because she said she just wanted her peace and quiet.
And there I was, feeling completely left out, and I vividly remember it was Thanksgiving that year.

Lately, I’ve just been keeping my mouth shut more and more, because if I speak up, I'll just be labeled as the problem again...
It's really just my brother and my husband left. And honestly, that's plenty.😘 😘

So, I guess people with those official stamps have to act more sane than everyone else, otherwise they're gonna get hit with a 😈 fine or something.

I've got this friend—she’s bipolar, right? And man, she basically has to dance to her family's tune if she doesn't want to end up stuck in a psych ward, which feels like there's just no way out once you're there. I guess you're actually pretty lucky to have such a solid husband, because she definitely doesn't have anyone like that in her corner. All she's got left are these tiny little secret things to get her through, since she's basically trapped in this whole "mind control" situation where nobody lets her make her own damn decisions. Not to mention, she's way, way smarter than the guy she ended up with, even if he is a total loser.😢

Haha, I’m on top of my game!
Yeah, I’m definitely the one.
Did you catch Magnolia?
How scandalous.
I think God really looked out for me by keeping me away from social services.
If you ask me, the absolute worst-case scenario for my life would be:
Being all alone in a massive house, having plenty of food, heat, water, and electricity...
And having a computer that actually works.🤣
Your friend probably takes lithium just like I do.

I’d love to retire, but honestly, that sounds like a total nightmare.
Maybe things will improve once the European Union settles some stuff.
Though I'll likely have to retire much sooner than the rest of the world.

Man, I had a literal lump in my throat for two hours straight.

But I get why others feel like I don't even exist to them anymore.
I actually know someone who would die for me, and they're still very much alive.
That's the first real person I've had in my life.
If that makes me what I am, then fine by me.

Besides, a lot of it comes down to personality. If that's just how you're built, no amount of craziness is going to change it—maybe a little, but your essence stays the same.😬

That’s precisely what Laing is getting at... the idea that the root cause lies right in our own backyard... usually tied to family dynamics, simple misunderstandings, or deep-seated trauma...

Wouldn't psychotherapy actually be a huge asset here? I mean, the core issues don't just vanish, plus you have to deal with the threat of "stigma" and the weight of the stigma itself.🙄

I think I’m having a little delusion—it feels like I’m actually chatting with psychiatrists on here. In my dreams, maybe?

Look, I’ve only just started figuring myself out lately, so don't expect me to be an expert on all the complex theories, okay?
Honestly, if there was enough time in the world for doctors to give every single patient the individual attention they deserve, wouldn't that be wonderful? Since that isn't happening, I just have my husband to lean on. 🙂

Honestly, I feel like a completely different person out there right now:
STIGMA CAN BE USED AS A PURGE

Honestly, I’m starting to think this whole "new" persona is just a projection—like, it's being manufactured specifically to "filter" things through this artificial identity...🙂

It’s like when you tell someone you actually enjoy being totally blunt... you know, like, way beyond what polite society usually tolerates. If you feel like you've been treated unfairly—and you truly believe it was an injustice—that frustration just spills out through some choice words...

Maybe one day, data will actually be able to track the evolution of "humanity."👍

And wouldn't it be fascinating if that kind of projection could eventually strip away these toxic personalities by filtering them through what we've constructed?
Because, let's face it, to some people, everything just boils down to primal instincts and base desires.

briskgull27 said:If she had her way, she’d probably spend her days logging every little change in "people."👍

But why wouldn't that projection serve to purge this toxic persona through the one being constructed?
It’s like how people mistakenly assume everything boils down to sex just because they have a certain narrow mindset.

Personally, I feel like this new persona is actually built to act as a shield for the true self... and that's exactly how the cleansing happens.
