Has anyone actually heard of the band "Barbary" before? I'm curious—what’s their deal? Are they any good?

Wait, are you asking about the band or are you actually Barbara herself?

Barbary... I’ve heard great things. My brother was just at a party where they were playing... they usually perform live around areas like San Diego or maybe Orange County. Why not just do some digging and give them a listen?

Barbara is actually one of the vocalists in that band. Anything else you ladies want to know? I’ve got to head over to the Bolero soon to catch a set by Trio Mediterranean. Is it even worth the trip? I’m asking because I’ve honestly never heard of them, so if any of you happen to know anything about their sound, please weigh in... thanks!

Both the Mediterranean and Barbara are solid choices... You really can't go wrong with either one! 👍

Hold on, were you at that party at Bolero yesterday? I'm pretty sure that trio was the one playing.

I actually went to catch their set yesterday... and I have to say, I was completely blown away. They really nailed it. Seriously, hats off to them. But what about you—were you at that gala too? I’m dying to know how they held it together until the very end! Cheers, Lawrence Wells

Yeah, I was there. They kept playing until 4 AM.
And we definitely crossed paths—I was actually one of the singers at the wedding.
Best,🙂

I have to admit, I've never actually heard them, but maybe one of the other girls has.😉

Honestly, I’d probably just DIY the invitations myself... maybe roll them up in some heavy-duty striped cardstock. Now the real question is where to hunt down all the "supplies." Like, could I just have someone print out the details on paper, then take those slips, roll them up, and handle all the decorating and finishing touches my own way? It would look something like this

You can pick up that invitation paper at the Barnes & Noble near the traffic lights or over in the Stinica area—just head right after you pass the big Target...

As for the extra flair like flowers, leaves, or ribbons, check out Ira in Dugopolj or Ružica (right by the old Pitarel spot)...

For the actual text, you can drop it off at a local print shop or just run it through your own printer... just double-check if your paper is too thick to feed through the machine! That weight (GSM) is everything when it comes to making sure it doesn't jam.

So, we tracked down two available halls...
one’s a Lesina over in Dugopolj and the other is a Dalmacia spot near Trillium...
anyone actually used either of these places before? I could really use some feedback...🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Hey Ivancic, I was at a party at the Target in Dugopolj (which is basically Dolis now). The food was decent—nothing to complain about—and the staff was friendly. I know they were doing some renovations this winter, so I'm not sure how it looks currently 🤷!! We've had a few parties held in that hall and nobody ever complained.

Cheers👍

I’ve actually been to a party held in Dolis twice now—honestly, I can’t say enough good things about it.👍

Hey there, since I’m clearly incapable of navigating through these endless pages of discussions without getting lost, I’m coming to you all to see if someone can help clear up a bit of a dilemma... For photography and video work, I’m currently torn between the Art Institute, Spinnaker, or maybe Photo Plus over in San Jose? I’ve seen people raving about all three of them everywhere, so I’m trying to figure out who actually delivers that top-tier, premium quality—the kind that really stands out. Honestly, price isn't my main concern here; I assume they’re all roughly in the same ballpark. I just want the best. Thanks so much!
