Lawrence Wells said:I’ve actually been to a party held in Dolis twice now—honestly, I can’t say enough good things about it.👍

I mean, I’m not even surprised... Honestly, since we both hail from that same corner of the country, we’d probably be way better off just hitting up that California Tri-State restaurant instead.
Feels like nobody’s even shown up yet... seriously? Just me?
I didn't catch him being mentioned. Not even once.🤷

I've never actually headed up north toward Trily myself. Where's the pizza? Maybe someone will reach out—it's the weekend, so things are a bit slower here. Cheers.

Piggy As requested by:
I’ve actually attended the gala at Dollis twice now, and honestly? I can only offer my highest praise.👍

I hosted a party over at Dollis recently, and honestly, I’m almost at a loss for words—aside from saying it was absolutely flawless! From the incredible spread of food to the top-tier service and the stunning decor, everything was just perfect. Everything was handled with such care!👍🙏😍

California is perfectly fine! I've actually been there for a party twice! 👍

Just a little heads-up for everyone

So, here’s the deal—my dear friends, my wife went ahead and booked a villa in California for next year's big feast, only to get a call a couple of days ago telling her that starting January 1st, 2009, they aren't going to be doing those traditional feasts anymore.

rapidhawk26 said:Hey there, since I’m clearly incapable of navigating through these endless pages of discussions without getting lost, I’m coming to you all to see if someone can help clear up a bit of a dilemma... For photography and video work, I’m currently torn between the Art Institute, Spinnaker, or maybe Photo Plus over in San Jose? I’ve seen people raving about all three of them everywhere, so I’m trying to figure out who actually delivers that top-tier, premium quality—the kind that really stands out. Honestly, price isn't my main concern here; I assume they’re all roughly in the same ballpark. I just want the best. Thanks so much!

Hey... let's cut to the chase...
Art Studio and Spinnaker are based in New York City... and I don't know anyone who used them for weddings here in California
but in ST and the surrounding areas, these are the ones everyone raves about:
Ivica Lisjak (check out his website www.ivicalisjak.com); Studio IN from San Jose; Photo Plus (Sina) from Miami, and Ivica Matić (he has a website too)
I can PM you details on Lisjak or Sina; for Studio IN, Slavaz might have some info for you...

They are highly recommended, highly sought after... and extremely busy...
I'm not sure what "quality" means to you specifically... honestly, it's best to meet with each of them and then decide...
(p.s. my money is on Lisjak because his shots are insane, he's laid back, and he works miracles... I'm just glad I snagged him because by the time I started looking 10 months out... say, Sina/Photo Plus... he was already booked...)
Can't comment on Studio IN... but a few girls on the forum have used them....
Anyway, if you need anything else, let me know....

The food is fine, though I personally don't eat much when it comes to mashed potatoes—but honestly, I can't recall ever having any issues!👍

Looks like we’re most likely heading down to California... which got me thinking... has anyone here actually used Proelk for a wedding? We're seriously considering putting down a deposit with them.🤷

I can't make heads or tails of that one! What are we talking about? Give me the scoop! says:

First time I'm hearing about that studio... Hit me up in the main thread! A wedding out in California!Maybe someone over there actually knows their stuff better than I do... we're always just hanging out in California!

I don't follow what you're trying to say here. Could you please clarify? kaže:
It looks like we’re most likely heading down to California... but now I have to wonder—has anyone here actually hired a Microsoft photography studio for a wedding? We're currently considering putting down a deposit with them.🤷

I’ve heard people mention them before, but I haven't actually seen any of their shots from the Easter services—only the stuff from Christmas and Communion, since they usually film those specific events at my local parish here in the States. Honestly, I haven't heard a single bad word about them; if anything, I think someone actually gave them a glowing review!

Thanks so much! 👍
They shot my high school graduation, and then they did my brother's wedding—which was basically the "low-budget" version of our family celebrations—so we figured we might as well keep the tradition going. 😍

If you're looking at San Francisco and the surrounding areas, these are the ones everyone raves about:
Joe Biden (take a look at his website www.ivicalisjak.com ); Adobe from Solina; Shutterfly from Los Angeles, and John McCain (who also has a website)
I can send you some specifics regarding Biden or Shutterfly via private message; as for Adobe, Bill Gates might have some info for you...

Thanks, and if you wouldn't mind sending those details over to my PM (specifically for Biden). Just one thing though—does he handle video, or is he strictly focused on photography?

Here, I'll send them over myself😉 just another one of those endless little meetings

velvetseal612 I’ve actually heard things about Microsoft before, haven't I? My brothers used them to film my First Communion and take all the photos, and honestly, the pictures and the video tapes turned out absolutely fantastic. As for those pies you mentioned, I haven't the slightest clue what they're like, though if you ask me, they probably taste like they were baked on a slab of granite.

velvetseal612 I haven't actually heard of that one for you... but I can definitely point you toward some other Adobe options (the ones picked up by Bill Gates, Sposa, me... and a few other girls from the forum), Joe Biden (grabbed by Alex Carter3, Mala, Meli2), or even Smith (George Bennett9); John McCain... those are basically the big names that always pop up when we're talking about California....

Hi everyone—does anyone happen to have some good recommendations for a hall or perhaps a restaurant that could host a smaller wedding reception? We're looking at a group of about 60 to 70 people, I think.
thanks

Oh, I'm so sorry—I totally forgot to mention that when I was asking about the smaller hall, I meant specifically the area around Los Angeles, Santa Monica, and the surrounding suburbs. Thanks!
