David King72 you’ve got the whole sprawl from the outskirts of Houston all the way through San Antonio, stretching up past Austin and even reaching the urban core of Dallas—how many people are we actually talking about here?

It looks like there might be around 60 or 70 people attending. I was browsing the Babylon website yesterday—the food seems decent enough, though I have to say, the photos didn't exactly wow me. Has anyone actually been there before? I’m currently living outside the States and won't be making it back home anytime before Christmas, so I'm just trying to dig up some more substantial details this way. I'm planning to head over there in July of next year.

Art Studio and Spinnaker are based in New York City... and I don't know anyone who used them for weddings here in California
but in ST and the surrounding areas, these are the ones everyone raves about:
Ivica Lisjak (check out his website www.ivicalisjak.com); Studio IN from San Jose; Photo Plus (Sina) from Miami, and Ivica Matić (he has a website too)
I can PM you details on Lisjak or Sina; for Studio IN, Slavaz might have some info for you...

They are highly recommended, highly sought after... and extremely busy...
I'm not sure what "quality" means to you specifically... honestly, it's best to meet with each of them and then decide...
(p.s. my money is on Lisjak because his shots are insane, he's laid back, and he works miracles... I'm just glad I snagged him because by the time I started looking 10 months out... say, Sina/Photo Plus... he was already booked...)
Can't comment on Studio IN... but a few girls on the forum have used them....
Anyway, if you need anything else, let me know....

Here’s the link to Ivica Matić’s website. Ivica Matić www.ivicamatic.com
I heard he focuses exclusively on weddings, and apparently, he’s top-tier at what he does.
There are so many photos on this page, and they aren't just some "best of" compilation—they’re actually perfect. You can tell there's a real expert behind the lens here.
I'm also on the lookout for someone for a four-month project. I happened to come across some of the work by Lupus...www.photo-center-lupus.com) and Art Studio (www.art-studio.tvBut they're from New York City. I noticed that on his site, he actually has links to them.
You could take a look at his site; he’s got plenty of useful links there for bands, wedding dresses, and all that kind of thing.

Good luck with the hunt.

Is it even worth the trip? I’m asking because I’ve honestly never heard of them, so if any of you happen to know anything about their sound, please weigh in... thanks!

Trio Group = 👍
I saw them play at a wedding once, and they were pretty decent. I might actually have them play at my place soon too...😍

To be totally honest, I thought they were awful. The sound guy was useless, their set list was barely six or seven songs long, and they honestly just don't get music. I saw them play at a party once, and man, it was just a letdown.👎

Hi everyone!🙂

I wanted to see if anyone happened to book either the Las Vegas venue or the Holy Cross hall back in 2009?
I'm trying to track down some pricing info, so if anyone has any details to share, I’d really appreciate it...
Thanks!

And Bolero was also $42 in 2009; prices have skyrocketed across the board.

So, when we were scouting for a venue about a month back, they actually quoted us the Bolero 39 Euro rate for February 14th, 2009, but the room was already snatched up with a deposit. Man, they sure know how to make a buck... they bumped the price up by 3 bucks per chair in just a single month.

Just wanted to breathe some life back into this thread...
Ružica Commerce isn't at the 3rd Street location anymore where they used to be...
They moved somewhere over to Mejas—and apparently, they'll be closed for about 8 months while they get settled in. 😉

Does anyone know a solid band—drums, guitar, bass, and male vocals—for under $1,100?

Well, you're being pretty modest here.
I barely managed to find one for you; I'll DM you the details.😉

Which band is this? What's the deal with Brava Band and what kind of money are they looking for?

BB is top-tier... I'm thinking they run about $1,000 for the duo, plus maybe another $200 if you bring on a singer...

You've also got Barbary (they bring their own drums), Barbarossa, and Major League....

Thanks. Where can I actually hear them play though? YouTube or something? And how many people are in Barbary, and what's the damage on price?

Anyone here actually caught Ivica Matic on camera? Out of the usual suspects—Teklic, Lisjak, and Studio In—I’ve gotta say, Studio In’s work is the only stuff I actually dig. At least from what I've seen on this forum, those shots by silentpuma28 are the best.

As far as I know, nobody's posted photos of Matić here... but you can just hit up his site http://www.ivicamatic.com/ to check out his portfolio...

Personally, I booked Studio In for my wedding... and man, am I happy with how everything turned out! They're actually working on their new website right now, so once that's live, you can go there to scope out all their other work and music videos.

Lisjak is also a solid choice—tons of girls have gone with him.

check out their site... you can even add a guitarist if you want (that'll run you another $220). Their base rate is about $1,100 for the three of them.

Oh, and they're actually playing at my backyard BBQ! 😁

I checked out the sites for Smith, Fox, and I think Teklica, but honestly, everything looks way better on a screen than when you see the actual prints. Like, the photos aren't bad, but they aren't quite as "wow" as they seem online. To me, Studio in still seems a few notches above them.
