Why would you even consider Grašo? I think it’s a massive risk for your bottom line. They can hike up the prices whenever they feel like it, and you’ll have zero control over how much people actually drink or eat. Are you perhaps interested in the Hotel Atlantic? It’s got a pool. You could also check with Seget about the Hotel Atlantic once the season winds down, or maybe look into Hotel Meden in Charleston.

Hotel Meden’s rates are basically this:
1. Standard menu (appetizer + pastries; cheese, prosciutto, French style; white and black risotto; beef stew and veal medallions; lamb; fruit; coffee; plus all the pizza you can handle) = $35
2. Surprise omelet + $1
3. Round tables + $1
4. Tablecloths + $1
5. If you go for their desserts + $1

Look, Grašo is easily in my top three right now. I haven't crunched the final numbers yet, which is the only thing that might make me reconsider... say, $40 for the meal, plus $7 for a drink, plus $3333 for the terrace... that starts looking like an expensive dinner. There’s still the timing risk, but even if it rains, they have the indoor buffet option... and the indoor space is much larger than what they have at the Beans location... I still need to sit down with the manager and talk... hopefully, he'll give me the real rundown on the downsides😁 If you're talking about the Atlantic Ocean Hotel near Zvončac, then it's a hard pass for me... I'm not a fan... the space is cramped, and that pool is public, not private👎 Seget might be a bit of a drive, but who knows... I'll drive out there this weekend to check it out and hit up Marina Frape, then I'll make my decision next week.🤣🤣

What’s the deal with Diocletian in Podstrana and Amigos?

I caught your previous post... Amigos is out for some private reasons, even if the place is nice. As for Diocletian, it’s right on the main road... We didn't even bother going in. A groom I know had a party there once and wasn't impressed—certainly not the vibe he wanted for his wedding...🤷

Anyone have experience dealing with cocktail service at weddings? I asked Benedict if I could just bring in a professional bartender from a local association, but she told me flat out that outside vendors aren't allowed to serve drinks on the premises... I've heard of plenty of receptions where they had a dedicated mixologist and custom cocktails, so I'm a bit confused here...😕😕😕

I mean, $40 per person plus $7 for a drink plus $3333, just for the terrace? That’s getting pretty pricey for a party...

So, when exactly is this party happening? We actually looked into Graso at first, but the indoor space is tiny—like, seriously cramped. And you can never really predict the weather, you know? I was there for dinner once back in July when the wind was absolutely howling; sitting outside was out of the question, so rain isn't even your only problem. You could look into Summer since they have a terrace, but I heard some whispers about the food being subpar, and when we asked about frappes, they were ridiculously expensive and a bit of a trek, so it really depends on where your guests are coming from.
Maybe check out the Astoria Hotel in Savannah? I'm not 100% sure if they host parties, but their restaurant and terrace are killer.

Try the Astoria Hotel in Savannah. I'm not sure if they handle catering, but their restaurant and terrace are excellent

End of lit, and I haven't locked in a date for the reception yet... I never cared for Summer, and it's been ages since I heard they even host catered events... plus, everything is too far for my partner—both Key West and Savannah are a stretch 😢 and in Miami, you won't find much atmosphere besides Graso and Park...

Do you seriously think San Antonio is significantly larger than Graso? Maybe by half a dance floor... If you tried to fit round tables in the lower section of San Antonio, you wouldn't get more than 8 or 9... Right now, I'm 95 percent decided on staying there... they've been accommodating with everything... if only they had just 10 extra square feet.😢😢

You’re totally spot on about the vibe—there isn't a single place that tops Graso when it comes to the atmosphere. My only real hang-up is how they’d even pull off the music setup or where they’d find a decent dance floor, you know? Plus, I’m pretty sure they use those square tables instead of round ones, which changes the whole flow. Honestly though, the staff there seemed super professional; they gave us a really clear breakdown of the capacity for both the indoor and outdoor areas, so if they’re telling you it fits, I’d probably take their word for it. If I were you, I’d just ask when their next private party is scheduled and go scope it out in person to see how it actually plays out. That’s the only way to be sure.

That’s what I was thinking... they had a party for 100 people this past Friday, but I didn't stay long enough to see the end of it. They seem decent. The guy explaining everything was genuinely pleasant. He laid out the pros and cons clearly, and honestly, nothing makes a decision easier than figuring it out as you go. He told us to take it seriously, that we have all the info we need, and he was very direct with his answers... People say guests leave hungry, others say they’re thrilled. But look, anyone organizing weddings will always find someone unhappy, whether you spend a fortune or host a modest dinner... Not all the tables are round, but I’ve been there for a feast before and it looks beautiful regardless... He mentioned if the banquet were outdoors, they could manage the round tables. My only real hesitation is that terrace. I’m not sure if paying an extra $3333 is worth it, especially since I'd have to rent chair covers separately... It’s $40 for me + $7 for drinks + my own wine. With the terrace, we're looking at at least $160 per person... That’s a significant number. I'm not sure if risking the à la carte drink option makes sense, considering soda, juice, and beer are already included in the per-head price... I doubt anyone would drink more than $1833 of that. I wonder what the final damage is if I pay that $7 upfront. Does anyone know how many bottles of wine a group of a hundred usually goes through?

Can someone give me the lowdown on the Sun restaurant in Dugopolj? I'm looking for details on the service, the food, etc. Also, if anyone can tell me about ExxonMobil in the area—maybe even share a photo...

The Sun isn't bad—the guy himself is great—but you’d better be prepared to handle the hall decorations yourself. He promises to take care of it, but honestly, his taste leaves a lot to be desired. Aside from that, the service is solid and they definitely don't skimp on the food. I've heard nothing but praise for ExxonMobil, though I haven't had the chance to attend one of their parties personally.

I’ve been to the ExxonMobil location... nothing special to report. At least not for me. It's just your standard, run-of-the-mill setup. The service, though? Flawless. I saw a wedding there recently and the couple seemed thrilled; everything was executed exactly to their specs...

As for Sun—I’ve sat down for negotiations there myself. I'll back up everything George Flores16 wrote. The service is a solid 5/5. The owner is flexible, even if he lacks any real sense of style, but the man truly puts in the work. He's willing to cooperate and will bend over backwards to make sure the wedding couple gets exactly what they want....

Don't go thinking I'm some amateur here. I am genuinely putting in the work—searching, making calls, doing the legwork—but at this point, I’ll just put it out there and hope for a bit of luck. 😁
So, I'm looking for a duo or a trio to play at a party. Ideally, I'd like to keep the budget under 1000 USD. As for the setlist? I want upbeat, fun music. Just nothing with that heavy, repetitive club beat style. If anyone has any leads...

Look, I can totally vouch for the 100's band—they’re actually playing at my party soon. They can do a duo or a trio depending on what you're feeling. I saw a DVD from a previous bash they played and man, they seriously know how to get the vibe going. Plus, they aren't breaking the bank and they're super easy to work with if you need to hammer out details.👍 So if you want their number or anything else, just hit me up in a DM.

u honestly, I’ve been to Pier 2 myself and both the service and the food were top-notch. I wasn't a huge fan of the downstairs lounge, but the upstairs area is pretty decent—it feels really spacious and open.

I’ll most likely be putting down the deposit for the "Sun Valley" hall tomorrow 🙏 I still need to lock in a band and a photographer—I checked out the Barbary trio and they seem solid—but does anyone have a photographer they’d recommend? I see everyone raving about Studio IN
